This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

I may for once have something to add. Knowing the clearances around here, it may be an ancient clearance item (all the targets near me mark stuff down waaaay after y'all list the markdowns), but it *did* scan at only 30% off, so maybe it is a newer one. Not sure.

Don't really have a desire for many of the games that have wound up in clearance this go round. Would like to find Lego Batman cheaper and possibly Ace Combat 6 (someone did see that on clearance right?).

Just got Virtua Fighter 5 for 9.98 (PS3)

Considered Legendary for PC (12.48). If anyone wants a copy of that let me know and I'd be willing to pick it up. There have been 2 on the shelf for awhile now.
 
Virtua Fighter 5 (360) was down to $10 this morning. I just paid $13 on Friday.

Also, Ace Combat 6 is down to 20 and change. Both of these were at the El Dorado Hills, CA store.

Patience young one. Gamestop and Best Buy are both selling Last Remnant new for 39.99. Wait out the clearance drops on that one to get lower.
 
Mine had most of what was listed. Stranged things, the newer clearance are in the case, the older clearance is in the Book section endcap.

Wasn't anything worth it right now, but I'll try and wait it out. I look for Optimus but didn't see one.

I did however score a Washing Machine and Sink for my kids for their Rose Petal Cottage. $6.54 each. Not bad for a $40 product before Christmas.

For what it's worth, I was in a Target today and picked up a copy of Virtua Fighter 5 for the Xbox 360 for $9.98, but the PS3 version was stickered at $13.98. Didn't check a scan on it.

Yes I saw this on a clearance endcap. Like a buffoon, I didn't get the model number, but did get the DCPI(wrong?) number: 008090981. Posting this greatly decreases the chance of me landing one, but I've been here long enough to know better.

There were a lot of there games on sale in the 30-40 dollar range mostly xbox360. I didn't bother to remember the xbox360 games much since none of them really caught my eye as a good deal.

I think so but others will disagree with me. AC6 is a great game that used ti have a lively online community. The graphics are great and the game play is awesome too. I have the bundle sitting in my room right now just staring at me...

Mercs 2 is ok I guess. I just bought the PS3 version and I thought the demo was just so-so. However, I thought it was worth a purchase at $19.

Picked up Virtua Fighter 5 (360) for $9.98.

Saw Monopoly (PS2) for $14.98. I can probably wait until that one hits at least 75% off.

Mercs 2 has some bugs and screwball mechanics, but it *is* a fun game to play. Not a great game, by any stretch. But lots of fun. :grapples over to caraccas to blow stuff up:
 
I saw the same thing I also saw the Singstar Games for PS2 for $20.98. I am waiting for Tomb Raider to go $15 which is should they had a ton of copies there.

Wow they had Fracture for 1 cent off the regular retail price ;) good thing is its clearance priced so it will drop off..

Its a love or hate game if anything DL the demo, I liked it on the 360 the short while I had it and one of these times I will get it again for my PS3
 
What if my store in town does not have some of these products? Could I special-order or transfer something to my local store, and have it at the clearance price?

I saw Final Fantasy IV and Viva Pinata on clearance for the DS. FFIV was 27.98 & VP was 13.98. I also saw Sing is for PS2/3 at 19.98 (50% off). If it drops one more time I will buy it.
 
I saw the Singstar PS2 games for $20.98 too. Other than that, not much else, but I did see a stack of 360 games and a few Wii games that seemed to be set aside for clearance. at least I assume so, because most of the titles I could see have already been mentioned here.

I'm one of those people who actually likes Fracture. I loved the demo and grabbed a copy of it when Target had it on a special promo price of $19.99. It got swallowed up with all the big releases during Winter like Gears 2, Fallout 3, and Fable II so no one really knows about it. I like it's originality in terms of moving the actual terrain but the story is kind of weak and cookie cutter. Still for $20, it's a good game to just play through.

I think Fracture is a great game. Sure the whole altering terrain can get repetitive for some, but I didn't think so. I would recommend everyone add this to their game library, but as Derrick1979 stated you might want to try the demo first.
 
My target has a bunch of games on clearance, for once, but I guess that's par for the course reading the other posts in this thread from this week. Saw Spider Man: Web of Shadows for ps3, fracture, and mostly the other things mentioned by other posters from their stores.

I picked up Lock's Quest for 13.98 and Prince of Persia: The Fallen King (DS) for 20.98, I should have probably waited on picking up PoP but clearance games don't seem to last long at my store.
