This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

wow they had at least 10 copies of mirror's edge behind the glass on saturday. They were still $27. I won't have a chance to get there today.

both of the Targets close to me still have 2 Far Cry 2's each, at 27.xx.
A couple of Mirrors Edges at the same price.
No good CLX games at all, I think i've finally got a stasher in my stores haha.

Did see an internal DVD burner for 12.98, but i've got a laptop, not a desk top or I would have jumped on that right away.

The Energizer E2 battery charger was CLX'd for like 2.xx, grabbed one of those.

Want to start building a new computer, so I might have to jump on that DVD burner and the CLX'd dvd+r's that they have..... but nothing video game wise.

No luck on the HD's either.

My favorite local Target never dropped the price this week for the Tiger 09 games :(
It's been just over the standard 2 weeks price drop time, and still no budge from the 1st markdown...

Guess I will have wait another week, oh well...

Picked up Blitz II for $9.98 & R6V2 for $4.98 tonight.

I saw Mirror's Edge, FC2 & Afro Samurai for the prices posted. There was a shit ton of DS games; some cooking one (Jamie something?) and some weight loss ones.

Also, Cabela's Legendary Adventures for PSP at $13.xx; I'll probably snag this if it drops again -- I have a fancy for killing things. Uh...
 
needs to be confirmed but I just scanned X Blades for the 360 for 14.98. still had the 29.98 tag on it though.

passed on it cause I didn't know how the game is...looks like a rip from GOW and DMC and it's got horrible reviews

Crisis Core and God of War are both 19.99 regular price.
 
Picked up Far Cry 2 for 13.98. What is odd is the different prices people are posting on this one. First post on this page says 14.98. Never seen that before. Also the same store had mirrors edge for 27.xx, wonder why far cry was so low. I would figure if the store is at a certain price all games fall in line with other mark downs.
 
As I was concerned, the 5ish external HDs across 2 stores were gone today when I went. :( And the Sony HD Radio/ipod dock went to $45 based on DCPI but it was gone too. (I am so mad I didn't make the time to go yesterday!!!)

Did pick up X-Blades for $14.98. I know it has a bad rep but I find it hard to turn down even vaguely interesting games for that price. Finally saw Mirror's Edge go on clearance, after reading about it here.

Saw lots of various cables and such, picked up a mobile/cell headset->Computer mic/headphone adapter for $1.77 (great for Skype), and got a pink (?!) set of the Sony noise cancelling headphones for $24.98. They're not THAT pink.... although I am debating if they're still TOO pink. Not that I'd use them all that much. Anyone who got them have any comments about how well they work? (my local stores still have black in stock at full price, the white sets seemed to go at $50 on clearance)

Did see a massive Ebay horder-- she had her cart FULL of clearance stuff-- 15/20 handbags, 20 book lights (!?!), various odds and ends, like a decorative birdcage.. all with clearance tags. I raced over to the games clearance before she had a chance to just push the whole shelf off into her cart.

All I saw a few days ago at Target was crap like Cheetah Girls on DS.

I hate that crap. Yesterday there was a bitch that moved through the electronics clearance sections like a train grabbing whatever she could get her fatass hands on. She didn't even look at anything, she just threw it into the cart. Later on, I saw her in the baby section going through her stuff and throwing whatever she didn't want into a pile next to the diapers. I've got to move faster.

Oh and are those Noise Canceling headphones, they don't look like they're worth $100. I'm waiting for Naruto Ninja Storm to go down though.

I see the same thing at the Target closest to me. I've seen the same lady going through the store with at least one cart packed full of clearance items hoarding from all departments.
 
Went to a few Targets in the Orange County, CA area (Fountain Valley, Costa Mesa, Huntington Beach, Garden Grove) to see if I could find a one of the HD and check out the prices on the games. Couldn't find any of the 750GB WD HD for $35, but managed to pick up a 500GB one for $30. It still had a $60 tag on it and wouldn't scan on the scanners, but brought it up for a price check and it scanned at $30. Saw quite a few X-Blades and Sonic Unleashed tagged at $20+. Also saw a few Rock Band USB Hubs for $5. Found a few copies of Farcry 2 at one store tagged at $19.98, but all the scanners were out of order, so couldn't check if that was right.
 
Got what seems to have been the last WD 500GB home for 34$ at McKnight road in Pittsburgh. I wish they had the 750GB, but I'm happy even with 500GB, I was about to pull the trigger on the Staples deal.
 
Saw 3x of the Blu-Ray gift sets for PS3 for $12.48 today. Might go back later this week and grab one. With last week buying a PS2 memory card adapter for PS3, might start picking up games/accessories/Blu-Rays for whenever I get a PS3 in the possible-near-future.

Also my Targets completely took out all the GBA games and clearanced them and probably 75% of their PS2 games.

Grabbed UT3 for PC for $4.98 today too since I might be teaching with some people this summer who mod levels for it. :)

Nabbed Far Cry 2 for 9.98 finally. Oddly enough that game ran through the clearance cycle in consecutive weeks. Remind me never to buy an Ubisoft title at launch.

Just an FYI, every Target will be clearancing most of their $15 or less PS2 and some of their DS and Wii games to make room for a new selection of titles. The Target nearest me jumped the gun a bit and put the new titles out which were a lot of the same titles Best Buy has been selling as front row games since Christmas. I saw Ocean Commander (wii), a new M&M game (wii), a bunch of new budget DS games, a Yamaha motorcycle game (wii) and tons more. I'm actually kind of excited because Target has had pretty much the same PS2, DS and Wii titles in that shelving display area since last year.

Still $27 at my store & the only one copy left.... doubt I'll get it at the clearance price :(
 
Yeah at my Target Far Cry 2 :360: came out of nowhere at $19.98, and then the next week they were all gones. I would've definately gotten that at 75%.

Dead Space has been lowered to $29.99 at Target, but it's not on clearance yet.

For any lurkers in the Gardena area, I hope you realize that most of the prices mentioned in this post are at 50% off of MSRP. Hopefully, we all have the patience to wait a couple of weeks for the prices to drop to 75% off.

There is a reason why it dropped so quickly after release. If you can get use to the messed up controls, it's a good game for 9.99. If the Motion Plus fixes the problem, then this game is a steal at 9.99.

Nintendo has stated that Motion Plus will do nothing for old games. Basically, not backward compatable, unless they re-release games to support Motion Plus. http://www.gamedaily.com/games/wii-...ion-plus-release-mean-new-fun-for-wii-sports/

Maybe I'm wrong, but it was my understanding (assumption, perhaps) that Motion Plus won't do anything for games that aren't developed to use it.

While I was in Sacto this past weekend, I snagged a PS3 version of Singstar Abba for $10. I will be returning my $15 PS2 version to the Diamond Bar Target later this afternoon.


FYI to the East Bay folks-
The Target in Hayward (Whipple Road), CA; I spotted a TR Underworld and the Square Game (Remnant II or something like that). Both came up as Unknown on the scanner. Given I was in a rush and didn't need extra copies, I left them 'on the shelf' behind some network cards in the PC section if anyone here in CAG is looking for them. THey were red-tagged $29.99 each, but I'm sure you all know how to negotiate accordingly with Target on Unknown items... ;)

Seriously, South FL Targets are pulling some major fail. Still nothing at Pines and Miramar Pwky. Tried out the brand new Target on 57th and the clearance there is also a mess. No PS3 or 360 games, only shovelware Wii/DS titles. These used to be the hot spots for our CAG trips.
 
Yesterday I went looking for Afro Samurai for the PS3 thinking I would be happy to pay $29.98. However, the two stores I checked out still had the game for $41.98.

However, today I needed to run an errand at Target near work and I checked the clearance aisle and this store (Meyerland, Houston, TX) had it for $14.98!. Needlees to say I picked it up. Last copy I saw, though.
 
Parma, OH Target had Mirror's Edge :360: for $19.98 (I think), and Incredible Hulk :360: for $14.98. Didn't see much else that was new. It was weird seeing Lego Indy and Gears of War for $29.99 when Target clearanced them out months ago for $10-$12.48.

I did see a few of those Ipod radios on clearance, too.
