This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

Found a copy of Mirror's Edge for $20...

I've officially hid my first game somewhere in the electronics section :D

Hopefully it'll drop to its 75% off price soon, $20 still seems like too much for it.
 
My local Parma Target still had Mirror's Edge for $27.98 scanned. I did pick up Incredible Hulk :360: for $14.98 though, though I'm tempted to return it and wait and see if it hits $7.48.
 
i just picked up afro samarai for ps3 at my target for 14.98! there were three copies of wheel man on clearance but still at 43 and change. Hopefully they will stay there until 14.98!
 
And of course Afro's TIV in the GS trade thread is over a month old. Any guesses what it may be now? $8? lol. I know Mirror's Edge dropped too quickly for me after I got a copy from Target for $20 and played through it before trading it in. I thought I'd only lose a couple of bucks after promos. Boy was I wrong!
 
Went to Fenton, MO Target. Grabbed a 7" Laptop case (blue) for $4.98 to stick my wifes DSi in. Then as I was about to give up I found the game clearance (across from the PS side of the games in a nook).

Grabbed Blazing Angels 2 for $9.xx (360).

I saw a bunch of PS2, Wii, Nintendo DS even GBA games on sale today at a Fremont Target (Nor. Cal). I remember most of the PS2 games, like KH2, RE4, Bully, Need for Speed Prostreet etc, are $10.

Now, all their newer games are locked in plastic cases.

TR:U (PS3) mysteriously reappeared and is selling for $30. Saints Row (PS3) is $30.

I wish I could get a Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm (PS3) and Mirror's Edge (PS3) for $15. These seem to be in clearance exile around where I live.

I thought about waiting but I didn't want to press my luck since it was the last one. If I see another one for $10, I'll pick up that one for my girls family relative who just got a PSP.
 
Passed up on Mirrors Edge. Figuring that I probably wont get to it for about two months or so, probably just not worth the investment.

Will the kiosk scanners give you a different price than register scanners? Far Cry 2 360 scanned at a kiosk for $19.98 for me and this store is always up to date with drops...

There's one Target by me that I know the aisle scanner doesn't work right. It doesn't give the updated clearance price (e.g. a 14.xx clearance game comes up $29.xx). Meanwhile, the next aisle scanner down does give the latest price (as does the register). But that's an exception.

My Target kiosk scanner and at the front register still ring up $19.98 for Far Cry 2 360. Just wait a few more weeks, hopefully you dropped one behind a shelf by accident.
 
Wow - as far as I can see from the Availability Tracker no store in MA has PS3 Wheelman anymore! I guess that means a good flip? Too bad I was kinda looking forward to trying it.

I got a copy of the Incredible Hulk (360) last night at the Target in Lafayette, IN for $14.98 (regular is $29.99 I believe). Not a bad game to just run through smashing stuff while listening to music. :p

They had one copy of Mirror's Edge but it still scanned as $30-and some.

i picked up the 22" at my store for $42, and the 19" for $31. just so everybody knows, this won't show up in the tracker most likely, as they are floor models at this price, and i highly doubt the one your store had is still there if you haven't looked.
 
My target had a few Mirror's Edge for $19 and change. I was debating getting it but I am backed up on games I ACTUALLY want (star ocean & re5), as opposed to games that seem neat, but didn't have an intention of buying them til I saw em super cheap.
 
I purchased Fifa 09 360 for 14.98 today. It was the last copy. Sonic Unleashed 360 and Afro Samurai PS3 were also 14.98.
 
Wheelman :ps3: for $41.98 at the Wilsonville, OR store. The PS2 games are currently 50% off. I'm hoping to snag a copy of Kingdom Hearts II for $4.98 and Mega Man Maverick Hunter X for $3.74 if they are still available at that price.
 
I can confirm PS3 Rock Band 2 for $41.98. I normally don't buy on the first markdown but I'm a Rock Band freak and was just waiting for someone to put it on sale. That and I'm having a party tomorrow and we would have been playing RB1, and GH:WT, but now we can play Rock Band2 in No Fail mode. :)
 
Picked up Dark Sector for 360 for $5. I played through it on PS3 and it's an average game, but for $5 I could see myself playing through it again for achievements.
 
My Target had many Mirror's Edge 360 for 9.98 left. Any chance they will drop again Monday?
Afro Samurai PS3 was still 29.98 and only two were left

It could drop to $5.xx but I would buy a copy and keep it for a while just to see. And if your desperate $10 is a great price for that game and you should just grab it.

Most stores stop at 75% and then ship remaining copies to Goodwill (lol and then GW marks them back up!).
Buy it at $10 if you really want it.

You better go back now and get it. They may have dropped the price today and they won't last the weekend.

Was the FIFA in the clearance area? At my store its still in the case for regular price. (as of Wednesday). Will the be clearly marked and put somewhere else, or should I take it out of the case and have them ring it up to see how much it costs?
