Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

When I went to my target yesterday the only good thing was 2 gta trilogy packs for 20.98. i didn't pick it up since I already bought something yesterday.

Silver stickers mean the item is backordered. If it's a clearance item, it will not be replenished [except on rare occasions, like uber clearance deals on Fable II, Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, etc.]. You will find silver stickers throughout the store on 99% of items that are empty (and some that even have product on the shelf).

... or maybe the silver stickers are placed by the employees who are HOARDING EVERYTHING, EVEN MEN'S UNDERWEAR!!!!! ZOMGZZZZZZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I purchased FFTA2 on DS for $7.48 at Target in Columbia, MD. Only copy I saw of the game there. They had tons of clearance games (mostly on DS and Wii) for a surprise. I might check other Target locations to see what they have.
 
Saw almost two shelf levels full of DS and Wii games. Guess the rumor about Wii games not selling well is somewhat true. Off top of my head is Wii Rock Band 2, but did not really pay attention to them. Did get a copy of Mirror's Edge for $4.98.:D

they seem to make a ton of crappy games for wii and ds. they have ok games, but what's with all these weird things like "diet tracker" for ds and "cake bake 3" or whatever for wii.

i have my wii, but i'm probably just going to collect all the good nintendo first party games. already eyeing super mario bros wii, smash bros brawl, kart, zelda, super punch out, wii play and sports resort, etc.

other than that, i have a couple of other "arcade" type games that i find fun such as tmnt smash up, madworld, rampage, house of the dead games, those duck/bear hunting type games, madagascar kartz, etc.
 
Sure sounds like it , that one is hit or miss now but back in the day that one was a gold mine for me :)

I agree. They seems to make weird games for Wii probably because some companies think that is what the Wiimote only good for. But current state of Wii reminds me of GameCube days where it was plagued by many of weird games as well as lack of good games.

That's what I figured the silver stickers really meant(backordered), but still.....damn those hoarding employees. I wanted me some new tighty whities.:lol::D

There is, though I don't recall a model # offhand. The only one I saw on clearance was an HP netbook. As of now the price is only 10-15% off of MSRP. I believe the price is $255-265 currently.:cry:
 
My Target had a bunch of stuff on clearance including the GTA PS2 bundled and Shawn White Snowboarding mentioned, and a crap ton of some Pokemon game for DS. The only things I remember are:

Modern Warfare 2 Hardened Edition, for $55.98. There were 2 copies for X-Box and 1 copy for PS3.

Call of Duty 3 for Wii for $20.98

And Flash Focus DS for $13.98

I'm hoping for further drops on the latter two. I don't have a 360 or PS3 so I have no idea if those are good prices on the MW2 Hardened editions. They look to be about $10 off Amazon's price but you'll lose half of that savings on Sales Tax.

If you have a PS3 and really enjoy intense RPG's, Demon's Souls is definitely a must-own. I would dare to say it's more of a must own than many of the other exclusives for the console(Uncharted 2, inFamous, etc).

Whole-heartedly agreed. It'll make you rip your hair out in frustration, but so worth it. I went out of my way to get the Deluxe Edition; it's that good.

I can't seem to find anything worth a fuck at the Targets I'm stopping by. Maybe while I'm in Austin this weekend, I'll stop by one and see if there's anything good.

Whats a good pick up price point for this game ? I dont own a PS3 but will snag a copy or two for fellow CAG's .
 
My Target, Owings Mills Md. had Tony Hawk Ride(360) for like $80-something and DJ Hero(PS2) for $80-something and Beatles RockBand(360) for like $170 and the Bass Pro fishing game(360) for $55.xx

If the copies last till 50-75% off, I'd say that would be a good pricepoint. Unless your Target(s) are like mine and the normal shnooks buy up everything by 30% off usually, then you can afford to wait.

I had the import version for a while and it was definitely an intense title. One hit and you were dead. You really had to learn to be defensive.

Unfortunately, I didn't see any copies at my Targets, so I'm SOL if I wanted to rebuy this game.

I wouldn't put it over those games. If you have no interests in JRPGs, you will not continue to play DS after the first levels of aggravation. On the other hand, even through the visuals, people will enjoy Uncharted 2.

I had a copy but it just wasn't fun. With my school and work schedule now, I am lucky to find a day where I can sit down and play for an hour or two. With that hour, I want to feel like I made progress or at least not play the same part over and over again. I eventually traded it for Batman AA, which I felt was a good decision. I had a copy but it just wasn't fun. With my school and work schedule now, I am lucky to find a day where I can sit down and play for an hour or two. With that hour, I want to feel like I made progress or at least not play the same part over and over again. I eventually traded it for Batman AA, which I felt was a good decision. I wouldn't really consider it a JRPG; that would be more like a Final Fantasy game. It's more of a dungeon crawler if anything. It's just a hell of a lot of fun to play.

I traded mine for Mirror's Edge and Bionic Commando, both of which I ended up not liking.:roll: But you live and learn.

I entered several DCPI #'s into the scanner and everything came up full price.

On a side note I was looking through the clearance game endcap at my Target, and saw a Sports Illustrated calendar for $5.xx.

And one hell of a tough game to boot. You WILL eventually break something over the course of playing it. It is a dungeon crawler but it could also be considered a trial and error game as well. It was a huge surprise for a reason, I'm still surprised at the fact it's on clearance. Great game.

I watched a friend play a good chunk of ME up his bro-in-law's house and while I liked the look of it I knew I would get annoyed by it.

As for Bionic Commando, I just needed a 4th game for the 4/$20 trade promo that just ended and it qualified.:D

I figure I'll be able to find both super cheap like I was able to find many games last gen for stupid cheap.
 
SE Las Vegas Target had several RB Beatles Limited Edition bundles on clearance when I was there earlier. As well as a few other titles such as Shawn White Snowboarding for 360 and Wii, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 for PS2 and DS. I was talking to a clerk and Lego Rock Band should be going first markdown tomorrow.
 
picked up Shaun White snowboarding for xbox for $7.48 I think it was. Also found about 30+ DS games on clearance, about 15 different titles but all $15 and above. Some fire emblem game, xmen origins, harvest moon, puzzle quest 2. All looked decent titles, but since I don't have a DS I didn't really pay attention, sorry.
 
I also saw a ton of DS stuff on clearance. I remember seeing Up, Ghostbusters, Fire Emblem, among others. But all were $13 or higher so I didn't look too closely.

The only 360 game out of the case was Godfather 2 for $7.48. The rest were stickered in the case and I saw Lego Rock Band ($24), Bionic Commando ($14), and GH: Smash Hits ($19). Also, Chaotic: Shadow Warriors for ~$20-25 (really boring game).

As for PS3, there was nothing out of the case. The only game I remember seeing stickered was Bakugan for about $20. I picked up Godfather, hoping it would be qualify for the new GS promo but it looks like it'll be going back.

Dudes in Maryland: Called the Target in Towson looking for Demon's Souls, and the guy who picked up was nice enough to check various stores in the state to see if they had any in stock, since his store didn't. Since you can't locate Demon's Souls at any given Target, given that it's listed as "online only" (despite the fact that it's just a limited shipment that only a very small amount of stores actually got), this was very helpful.

Anyway, he said they have three in stock at the White Marsh store, which is about the same distance away as Towson. I called the store and, indeed, they have three! The guy at electronics is holding my copy, so I'm on my way to pick it up now. Two left! Go!
 
No target or Super Target here in Independence, Blue Spring and Lees Summit of Missouri Carry Demon Souls :( I may call the Antioch Mall & Metro North Mall but i down they carry it! Possible it may Drop down $30 later this year (GH version) lol
 
I've been following Target clearances for probably 2 years now, but did they move the markdown day? I haven't seen any drops on Monday, yet I'll go in midweek and see all sorts of new shit.
 
yeah its really weird. I go to one location that has religious Monday drops. Then when I go in on Weds or Thurs, they have a bunch more crap that wasn't there on Monday. But that is the only store I've seen this. All others keep the same product for about a week before adding new stuff..I've noticed some of my Monday stores haven't dropped in a while. Everything is so outta wack!!
 
Is it safe to say that nobody is finding any further markdowns on the items that were popping up last week just yet? I was especially curious about the DSi bundles.
