Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Coupon scanned fine last night, but I was denied by an overzealous cashier. ( I know she was just doing her job)

I think if I had more stuff than Fable 2 @ $7.48, she wouldn't have cared, but seeing the total drop from $28 to $8 she really looked it over.
 
Target in Paramus NJ has 1 more copy of Fable II at $8 at about 3PM. It is in the sale rack, not the clearance end cap. The only other game marked down in that shelf was Lego Batman, which was marked at $24.98 and scanned at $19.99, which I think means it is out of the clearance cycle and now just on sale.

There was also an orange box xbox live messenger kit, on the bottom of the shelf, all by itself, and pretty beat up (obviously a return). I thought this had to be marked down. I asked to get it price checked, but it is so beat up that the bar code was gone. He instead scanned the regular version which came out to be $70. I said that couldn't be right and if he could ask a manager. He calls a manager and explains the situation. The manager said the best he could do was 10% off. I passed but I am going to keep my eye on it.
 
Target in San Jose, CA (Coleman Market) has 2 Fable 2 copies left. They are in the glass display, located where Halo 3 should be. Rings up under $8 before tax.

SD Target Clearance racks are TERRIBLE. I`ve seen 15+ copies of Fear 2 stay at $30 for over 5 months. I`ve also seen 10+ copies of Iron man stay at $41 for several months as well. I`ve lost all hope.
 
Every targets here is STILL cleaned out from Christmas and the free MSP Coupons. Practically every Target's has a half empty Budget Title isle, and absolutely nothing decent on clearance (I saw Wario for the WII for 24.99, and some Disney game for 30 dollars), and for some reason, every Targets here has a buttload of those Guitar Hero DS bundles (Still 30+ dollars, which is 25 dollars to much)
 
I finally got my own copy of :360: Fable 2 for $7.48. Luckily, it and another copy of the game was buried underneath a pile of stuff on a clearance endcap or some soccer mom or El Hoardo would've snatched them up before I could.

Ton in Denver area as well. I've seen a couple dozen at more than one target. 42 bucks or something ridiculous.
 
One of my local two Targets still had 1 copy each left of Cars: Race-O-Rama, Bionic Commando and Planet 51 for the 360, all marked at the same fuckin' prices as last week($19.98, $29.98 and $26.98).

They also had shitloads of the one DS Guitar Hero game bundle, same one as last time, STILL marked $40+.

This is why I still go out of town if I want something for a cheaper clearance price, since the people in charge of prices around here think these prices will sell. Maybe for the normal shnook consumers, not for us CAG's though.
 
The 1600 MS points card coupon still works as of 4 PM EST today. Paired it with a Fable 2 that magically appeared in the clearance video games aisle like others have reported.
 
I'm annoyed that some Targets around Houston are casing up their clearance games too. I did see a WWE Legends of Wrestlemania for $20 (PS3) last time. But I'll wait a bit longer...
 
All clean in L.A area. There's nothing left, just copies of Bionic Commando $29.98. I already cut my visits to Target since Christmas (Gas is up to $3.xx per gallon).... This is the worst January since 2007 for clearance shopping... I hope this new week I can see new drops, there's a few more releases at the end of this month.....
 
^^dude, that is the only other chair I've wanted besides my trusty AK Rocker!! The plastic actually broke on the bottom of my AK 200, so I don't know how 'trusty' it really is, but its still holding up..if I can score that chair, OMG! it will be a plus for me and something for my wife to have a sh*t fit over at the same time!!

but that link to check stock isn't working for me! arghh!!

edit: I see where that chair originated from..no wonder the link doesn't work. even the 3 on that site don't work! guess the hunt is on unless a true CAG can help out w/ online stock..

Got it for $9.98 in Phoenix this past weekend and already regretting it. Very shallow game but great nostalgia. I would rate the game as a rent, but it's trade bait now.

I believe all target Inventory locator are down right now. I tried several links that work before, all of them are not working right. Check back the link maybe some other time.

yeah, it appears that way, but i just randomly pulled up Wii Play and the check stock worked for that. seems these cached links aren't. Just tried calling 1-800 # but that was pointless. Surely if I call a store, they can input into their hand-held device and tell me yeah or neigh..

There are employees at the Target next to me that do the same thing, and they admitted it.

A couple of months ago when something was on clearance at my store the online site said they had some of an item. I don't normally ask the employees about clearance because I know where to find them, but I did this time to two employees standing next to each other. The first guy said, "Hey ya, we got a stack of those in the back room. Let me go get one for you." The other employee nudged him in the arm and glared at me and said, "No, we don't. Sorry, all gone." I talked to the first employee the day after and he told me that some of the guys in electronics have been holding on to them for both ebay and other members of the store.

Unfortunately that is just the way it goes. And even more unfortunate is the fact that most Targets I have been to have young men working the electronics section :(
 
Both of my targets don't have ANY clearance games. I even checked the whole electronics Dept. just to make sure they didn't place them somewhere else.

Same here although I don't have a big ass list. I was pretty happy to get a copy of GTA Trilogy on PS2 for $20. I've been looking for a deal on that for ages.

I also grabbed the last copy of Lego Batman for PS3 @ 13.

My Target had about 15-20 copies of the new Jak & Dexter game for PS2 @ 20. I'm happy to see that I called it months ago when I announced plans to buy the PS2 port on clearance at Target. I'll wait until it drops once or twice more depending on how many copies sell.
 
a couple xbox 360 games - bionic commando 14.98, a ton of MW2 Hardened edition for 55.00 and some others i forgot, Ps3 - kids games mostly like planet 51, no wii games, and a ton of ds games for like 20.00 - including spectrol orbs or sumthing ps2- ghostbusters

I'm going to have to keep an eye on those MW2 Hardened Editions. I know my store has 15 copies just sitting idle in the backroom.

Here's hoping that they personally don't get reduced in price for another week or so... this past paycheck is SPENT.

Same at one of my Targets. Had 3 MW2 Hardened for 55, but were in the case as opposed to on the shelf.

Over 20 Guitar Hero on Tour 2 packs for $20. I bet they will reach at least $15 before clearing out.
 
Oh and some Bionic Commando for the 360. I thought about buying it to play it again and then I remembered the last 30 minutes of the game. No.
 
My Target finally got some new stuff on clearance, it has been dry since the week of Christmas.

Only thing I noticed that is different than what was listed was The Guitar Hero Bundle for DS. I can't remember the exact price, but I want to say $21.48.

I'm tempted to get it, but they still have a ton left and since I have the one game, I think I may wait and see if there is another drop.

Tekken 6 Xbox 360 on clearance (Was 59.99 Now 41.98). Amazon is selling this game for $34.98, on eBay you can get it about $30. Maybe Target is not selling this game... looks obvious why they're putting this game on clearance.

I'm not sure if this available in all the Stores. I'm going to check Today. Good Luck Hunting.
 
I am really starting to get jealous of some of you. The targets around here never have anything that gets below $15. And $15 is a rarity.

Well, I see why: you're in a high traffic area (Tampa area). I used to visit Tampa and the stores always seemed wiped clean of any good deal existence because of it.

Most of the stuff that is supposed to be clearance is sold at regular prices, or gone as soon as it's got a clearance sticker on it - regardless of price.
 
I work in the backroom and pulled some of the price change titles miguel mentioned in his post. Most of the stuff was shovelware, but Fire Emblem DS is a nice score. I was a bit shocked when it asked me to pull 250gb PS3's, Beatles Rock Band, and DJ Hero, so we'll see what happens with those.

beatles rockband band set was clearanced $174.99 i believe, original $249.99
 
My target had Wii sports resort with 2 wii motion plus adapters on clearance for $41.98. I picked up the only copy they had.

For some reason around the holidays all of the Austin area Targets I've been to apparently got rid of their Clearance end caps in the electronics section and have not had any clearance games behind the glass either.

$10 off two is definitely dead, or at least reported to be completely dead by most accounts. I'll have to find a copy of the 1600 point coupon and give it another round. I'll also need to send a valentine card to the guy who programs Target's coupon system.
