Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

ElHoardo1.jpg

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.
Well, I see why: you're in a high traffic area (Tampa area). I used to visit Tampa and the stores always seemed wiped clean of any good deal existence because of it.

Most of the stuff that is supposed to be clearance is sold at regular prices, or gone as soon as it's got a clearance sticker on it - regardless of price.
Oh, I already knew why, it still doesnt help ease the pain... or make me less jealous! :D

I picked only the notable PS2 and DS games out of the lot to post... Looks like just about every GTA game is on clearance now. :D
I saw a lot of stuff today. Didn't get prices on anything but it's nice to see that Target deals are back (in Pog form).
Nice Simpsons reference.

I might try to stop around a few Targets in South Houston tomorrow to see if I can find anything. I'd love to get Karaoke Revolution, but I'd rather have it for 360.

I don't know if anyone else seen yet but when I went about 2 weeks ago they had a stand up in the front with all new wii games for $15. MSRP price, no clearance. Lots of shovelware but I remember seeing some kind of RPG title in the bunch.
Saw the :ps2: Mortal Kombat Kollection for $2.43
I'll have to keep an eye out for that. Those games are surprisingly entertaining, and for 2.50 a steal.

I hit the jackpot today. Found a DSi (with 5 games preinstalled) on clearance for about $120. I was tempted to just wait for the LL, but I couldn't help myself at that price. :D

Quite a lot of Wii and DS games clearanced at the Target I go to, only 360 game that was new was the Platinum Hits version of Midnight Club LA.

Picked up Planet 51 on 360 for $12.48

That was there all holiday season at my Target, and it appeared to be 90% shovelware - probably so they didn't have to clog the actual cases with shovelware.

Surprisingly, I went in shortly after Christmas and the shovelware box was raided almost clean by shoppers.
Both of my targets don't have ANY clearance games. I even checked the whole electronics Dept. just to make sure they didn't place them somewhere else.

Down here in South FL
The one in Cutler Bay had a few but not much. I picked up Saints Row 2 for PS3 for $7.48. There was 1 more copy left and they also had 1 Beatles Rock Band set left.

Went to a couple of socal targets today, found 2 beatles limited edition rock band bundles at one, and 3 at another, they were 30% off so 175, hopefully they last another round or two. Other then that I found Wario Land Shake it for 12.48 and GTA Chinatown Wars for 13, I grabbed both of those.

Are you sure Wario Land shake it dropped to $12.98? At both Targets I checked they were in the case for $30. But you are dead on with the other games! I also saw Need for Speed Nitro wii for $30.

Went to several Targets in the Bay Area, CA. Colma had Call of Duty MW2 Hardened Edition for $56 each, both for PS3 and 360. Also had NBA2k9's for $7.50. Serramonte had all Transformers ROTF 360 for $27, waiting for that to drop more. Tanforan had nothing noteworthy.
i saw wario for 12.98, in castleton ,in. I already have it
Thanks for the confirmation, I guess I will ask the guy to pull it from the case and price check it. I did see like 6 copies of Monster truck 4X4 world circuit with the steering wheel for $9.98. Game probably isn't worth it, but the steering wheel might be. Also had Tak and the guardians of gross (wii) for $4.98

I found Lego Batman PC version for $4.96 (maybe $4.98?) at the Target in Sacramento, CA across from Cosumnes River College. They also had The Beatles: Rock Band Limited Edition Premium Bundle on clearance for $174.99 from $249.99 (Also, not on clearance, but they have a ton of Mountain Dew/Pepsi Throwback and Dr. Pepper Heritage in stock. The Target in Conway, AR wasn't too bad today. I saw 4 copies of the 2 Wii Motion Plus Wii Sports Resort bundles for $41.98, :psp: Cars Race-o-Rama for $3.74, a few :360: Beatles Rock Band bundles for $174.98, a :360: Band Hero bundle for $139.98, a :ps3: Singstar Vol. 2 bundle that rang up out of the system, and a few :ps3: Legends of Wrestlemania and a :ps3: FIFA 09 behind the glass without a price. Didn't care to ask how much they were since they didn't interest me.

I would have picked up one of the Wii Sports Resorts if I hadn't grabbed one back in October from Best Buy's epic B2G1F sale.

Also saw a ton of new clearance at my Target - mostly crapware, but I picked up PS3 Lego Indy and Wii Rabbids 2. Nothing else terribly exciting, the Wario Land copies that were there a few days ago were gone.

My closest target has something like 25 copies of Terminator Salvation for ps3, at 9.98. A bunch of other stuff, mostly DS titles, and a few 360 Force Unleashed for 13.98. I grabbed a copy of PSP Final Fantasy I for around 10-11. It didn't have a red sticker, and it rang up as 14.99, but the guy working the electronics register said he was certain it part of the giant clearance influx, so he manually adjusted it.

Oddly enough, I scanned a Fable II today and its coming back up at 19.99, I'd have to guess they shipped the stores out copies to sell for that price but when they got them at the store they just never changed them back off the clearance.

Merrillville had one Band Hero and three Beatles special edition bundles all :360: for 30% off. I'd certainly pick up a Beatles bundle if it hangs out long enough for a 75% drop.
I work in the backroom and pulled some of the price change titles miguel mentioned in his post. Most of the stuff was shovelware, but Fire Emblem DS is a nice score. I was a bit shocked when it asked me to pull 250gb PS3's, Beatles Rock Band, and DJ Hero, so we'll see what happens with those.
What was that about the 250gb PS3? Is it gonna drop?

slickdeals has a post that has pictures and recipt for $250ish...
Hey my fellow Bay Area pal. I went to 2 different Targets tonight. San Mateo didn't have much of anything except Midnight Club LA (360) for like $21.xx. Redwood City has a ton of clearance games out...but mostly DS and Wii...the only noteworthy game I saw was Hotel Dusk. They also had 1 copy of NBA 2k9 for $7.xx and Bionic Commando has finally hit $14.98. Im tempted to go back and pick up Midnight Club LA

DS Are you smarter than a 5th grader was $6.98 marked down from 19.99, this was 65%(?) off, so I don't know if that's a new markdown level they're trying to bring in before the 75% drop.

Probably just a custom adjustment by an electronics employee instructed to clearance it hella low.

Just got back from the Mira Mesa, CA Target and picked up 2 250gb PS3s on clearance for 244.98....YAY...they still have 4 left..

Oh, the timing of not having ANY money at all...

I saw a few of the 250GB PS3s for $249.98.

As well as a boat load of other clearance titles. I picked up:

Sim City Creator (Wii) - $7.48
Sim City Creator (DS) - $4.98
Naruto: Path of Ninja 2 (DS) - $4.98
Incredible Hulk (PS3) - $4.98
Turok (PS3) - $4.98
Devil May Cry 4 (PS3) - $7.48
Godfather II (360) - $7.48
Planet 51 (360) - $12.48
Sim City DS - $5.26 (this was weird, original price was listed as $7.48, which is also a clearance price)

I won't be able to fall to sleep now. I can't wait to go to Target tomorrow morning to see if they have any 250gb PS3's in stock (which online it says it does not). Plus I gotta go back to school tomorrow so I can't help but feel anxious right now.

Odd, why would Target mark down something that should be sellable as is. It's rumored that new bundles are coming out and they want to make room. Either way playing on the website either clearance items are pulled from the site or the PS3 is out of stock almost everywhere I could find zip codes for.

I saw Demon's Souls for $40 at a Target in Dallas last night. Zero xbox games though. The whole departments still looks like it's been picked through from Christmas.

Do these 250GB PS3's have the orange price tag saying that they're on clearance and that's the price? I'm going to take a chance on my lunch break over at Target because I've got a launch 60GB and it'd be nice to have a spare and that's a great price.

yeah candymaker i noticed it as well. I've been to 3 targets now and all have had assassins creed at 19.99. Wario shake it was also 24.98. The only actual clearance title was fable 2 at 7.97

A NEW, post-holiday batch of clearance items have appeared at my local Target!

However, all I can remember specifically is Marvel Super Hero Squad for PSP - $19.99...

Target in Santa Clarita has a bunch of Midnight Club for 360 for $20ish, Superhero Squad for psp for $20ish and 2 copies of MW2 Hardened edition for $55. And a bunch of crappy wii games.

A target I just went to shows it has 250gb PS3'S in stock online. Yet I went to the store and asked and said they are all sold out. Is it likely the employees are stashing them?

dude if employees stash those PS3's...that would suck! what..75% off $300 would be $75 right?? OMG OMG OMG!! I don't know whether the rage is rising towards the Target employees or the thrill to think that one lucky CAG will score one at that price...

I highly doubt they are stashing them. Not every electronics employee knows even what a PS3 really is or what it does. There are some clueless ones out there that are just lukewarm bodies.

It's likely they were put in the system wrong (as another PS3 variety) or if it said they had less than 2, it's possible they sold out within the last few days or so -- which is likely, considering the mad rush for these things.

I work in a different department and I constantly hear people over the walkie asking if there are any 250 GB PS3s (and this is before/after Christmas) and people are mistakenly saying yes because they see a PS3 just sitting there on the shelf.

Ugh. I really want this deal, but can't justify the out-of-pocket with all the GS credit I have. I have enough credit between there and Best Buy to get a PS3 and upgrade the hard drive. Really nice deal.

High end items like PS3 are unlikely to be sold at 75%. Usually it drops to 50% if there are any left at that price point, but after that they are sent to the chargeback area to be sent back to a distribution center.

By the way, there were 3 copies of Warioland: Shake for 12.xx at Balboa Target in San Diego as of last evening.

I've been reading some of the posts from SD and it seems like people who have found a discounted PS3 lived mostly in California, and one person from Minnesota.
