Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

ElHoardo1.jpg

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.
i called all the stores in southern cali. only 1 long beach store had it but they said it was for 350. i think its all a conspiracy and the employees are buying them. some stores online said they had stock but when i called they said they were out.
Did this include the stores in West Covina too? I was thinking of calling later today, but if you called EVERY SINGLE STORE in SoCal...

Pure bullshit in Culver City. Everyone claims they're "nonexistent" and "we've checked the back room, the electronics stock room, blah blah blah and they don't exist".:bomb::bomb:

Couldn't find shit on clearance worth buying - they have 3 copies of Fire Emblem DS for $20.98 each, but I picked that up for under $10 at Fry's a few months ago.

No Wii Fit, and I had them scan ALL 5 versions/colors of the DSI, no clearance on any of those. The PS3s just up and magically disappeared, even though they're still 'in stock' online. fuck Target and their YMMV clearances so hard!!!:bomb::bomb::bomb:
Scanned Fable II today and it came up $19.99. Just last week I got it for $7.xx, which is odd.
Target restocked Fable 2 a couple weeks back which retained the clearance price of $7.48 when it went through it's clearance cycle. I guess the pricing team finally wised up and changed it to its new MSRP. This also occurred with Grand Turismo Prologue and Ratchet and Clank: ToD a couple months back.
don't call man......................about stuff supposedly on sale........
Seriously, I know this is a deal site, but enough with the distrust. I got enough people calling in today and coming in asking about the PS3 clearance deal, and giving me a suspicious look or asking me to scan it just to be sure when I told them ours was still full price. Yes, most of us are aware of the deal. It's a YMMV deal for a REASON. guessitmate

And as I mentioned in the previous thread, a whole mess of games finally went clearance at my Target on Monday. A whole lot of PS2, Wii, and DS titles... although I've already forgotten what most of them were. May be more in the coming weeks..
Which version/color is the DSi everyone is seeing on clearance? Is it just the one with the five pre-loaded games from Christmas time?
I just seen one at Target for $118, it was the white one with 5 preloaded games. (btw, this was the Target in Orange, on Tustin in case someone wants it)
I just seen one at Target for $118, it was the white one with 5 preloaded games. (btw, this was the Target in Orange, on Tustin in case someone wants it)
fuck! I would have bought every single one they had in stock (of course, at the store I went to, the guy said "I can only sell two DSIs total to each person").

Anyway, it's the one in the slightly bigger box than the other "normal" DSI's, yeah? Checked that one, scanned as $169.99...
Did this include the stores in West Covina too? I was thinking of calling later today, but if you called EVERY SINGLE STORE in SoCal...
i called every store from the long beach area going south to Huntington beach area. i did not call the store north of long beach going into the la area. i focused mainly on the oc stores. i think its all bullshit and a few lucky people got the deals. sucks too i wanna watch hi res movies of my hdd too.
Well I'm going to check Culver City since it's listed as "available" and not "limited availability". Even if I have to get a manager as well as Target corporate, they're going to find those fucking systems.
Dude, seriously, calm down.

I work at Target. NEVER go by the website to see if something is in stock. Trust me, counts are off a lot in the system, it happens quite frequently and it is very easy to do. Even the best Target stores have it happen every once and awhile. Nobody is hording PS3s and keeping them from the public. We have been out of stock on 120GB PS3s for a couple of weeks now and it says we have some even though we don't. It is a simple stock error; you guys need to calm down.

I have had like 10 people bothering me at work today about the 250 GB PS3 that is supposed to be on clearance. Every Target store is different guys. I have had so many people get shitty with me today claiming it is bullshit that we're not clearancing them. I even had a guy call twice and kept making me re-scan them "just in-case they just changed in price". One of them mentioned CAG too so I know it is one of you that got shitty with me today.

Now I love sites like Cheap Ass Gamer and I am all about getting a good deal, but as a Target employee, you guys need to PLEASE CALM DOWN. Some people on sites like this go way overboard over these supposed "deals" and I am so tired of people treating me like crap because of something they read on Slick Deals.

Not all Targets are clearancing 250GB PS3s. It is actually quite rare right now to see them go on clearance. Maybe all stores will eventually, but not all are now. If your Target is not, please leave it at that. Leave us poor Target employees alone; we don't get paid enough to put up with that crap.

Holy crap! $118 DSi's, $50 PS2's, cheap PS3's, tons of new and random games...Target clearance went from nothing to the wild west in a week's time!

I went in to mine today to expect nothing, but I've gotta say I was fairly surprised to see 3 fairly decent games on the shelf.

3 Tekken 6 at $41.98
1 Gears of War 2 at $20.98
and 3 Prototype at $27.98

Not a bad start to this year's clearance

All of it was 360, no ps3 deals to been seen here. The elusive 250 continues to be elusive...and all games still retail

:rofl::rofl:

GH: World Tour Drums 12.40 (fluke)
a lot of DS games including Advance Wars;Walking Coach and Imagine game
Bionic Comando 12.xx
Planet 51 12.xx

Saw the Rock Band Beatles bundle ($174), a ton of DS games on an endcap with a few mixed-in PS2 titles (Ghostbusters is the only one I remember). Also sa the Band Hero bundle for $134.98.

A Sony Bravia 40" lcd was $699 ($100 off).

I confirmed the $245 PS3, but could find none on the shelf (nor in the back) at 2 different stores.

Assasin's Creed (360) got taken off the clearance cycle at my Target. It was marked as $4.XX late last year around Christmas and when I scanned it yesterday, it came up at $19.99.

Saw PSP Marvel Super Hero Squad on clearance at $20.XX Judging by the box, it looks like a kids game so passed on that.
Holy crap! $118 DSi's, $50 PS2's, cheap PS3's, tons of new and random games...Target clearance went from nothing to the wild west in a week's time!
LOL, I know! Don't forget the $280 XBox Elite Modern Warfare 2. Soon though we'll be getting reports of $99.99 or $129.99 Wii's and whatnot.
What system did you find them for? I could use another set of drums for 360.

I was the one that posted the COD: MW 2 Xbox 250gb console $279.98 deal on the main forum, thought it deserved its own thread. Anyway here is the DCPI # 207210007 if someone could add it to the OP. It was found in WPB, Fl Did an item locator and no others showed up in Palm Beach County. So since it is now pretty rare it will be hard to find.

:ds: Emergency Rescue Squad 207-02-0963 14.98
:ds: Fire Emblem 207-02-0030
Gainesville, VA has Planet 51 and Bionic Commando for the 360. $12 and $14 price points.
Man, that's my Target!

Did you see anything else?

And did you hear about that bizarre hostage situation that happened there, like, a month ago?

Wow seems some here just don't get the whole YMMV bit. If your store has some stuff marked down great if not then too bad. I have 2 stores close to me and they are like 2 different worlds when it comes to mark downs. Their is no conspiracy it is just that one store sells more than the other or has more left over. Target is still way better than my local Walmart which never has any stuff marked down. Lets not ruin a good thing by harassing employees and such. I think this is cheapass gamer not asshole gamer right?
Target restocked Fable 2 a couple weeks back which retained the clearance price of $7.48 when it went through it's clearance cycle. I guess the pricing team finally wised up and changed it to its new MSRP. This also occurred with Grand Turismo Prologue and Ratchet and Clank: ToD a couple months back.
Some sort of screw up with Retailers ordering the Fable 2 Platinum version (includes the DLC) and getting the old version (no DLC) instead. Target is not the only one effected.

Nope, Didn't see anything else worth mentioning there. They had a few of the NDS Guitar Hero Double Packs for the $20 price point and Wii shovel-ware.

I'll have to look into this hostage situation. :)

Lol.. Our store operator was getting nasty customers harassing her about the PS3 bundles so she just started hanging up on them.

I hit my store and found only Beatles rockband for 174.xx PS3 They had 2 at the clear lake shores TX store. Other than that it was pretty bare

No one should pay anything for Bionic Commando. In fact, you should demand that they pay you to take it off their hands.

I actually saw two or three PS3s on clearance for $275.00 or so at Hutchinson, MN. The kicker? They were the 80GB Motorstorm bundles. I wouldn't have believed it without seeing them there.

Largo Target today saw:

:360: COD MW 2 Hardened - $55.XX (about 8-10 copies)
:ps2: Ghostbusters - $9.XX (about 10 copies)
:ps3: Lego Batman - $13.XX (at least 2-3 copies)
:ps3: Lego Indiana Jones - $13.XX
:ds: Scrabble - $20.XX
:ds: Guitar Hero Bundle - $21.XX
Bunch of other DS titles (Spectrobes, Wolverine, Hotel Dusk) but I didn't really look too hard. They did have one more copy of Ghostbusters DS at $13.XX but I snagged it.

I just verified the DSI holiday bundle clearanced at $118.xx

It's the Brain Age DSI bundle. Not the one I wanted, but still, not a bad price for it. Unfortunately it looks like it's already dropping further on amazon. The cheapest one was $175, just now someone has one listed for $150. Of course, the cheapest Mario one is $212.xx

Here are the DPCI's for both bundles, BTW. Only the Mario bundle is listed online, and the store inventory checker is all whack as we've previously discussed - the 4 stores near me that have it listed as "limited availability" and "available" don't have any. Good luck, all.

DSi Bundle with Brain Age $118.xx DPCI = 207-01-0074
DSi Bundle with Mario $118.xx DPCI = 207-01-0075

A lot of Targets have had their GH DS bundles on clearance for a while--I really wish this would drop to $13.xx as I know my daughter would dig this.

Scored a GTA:CT DS for myself today, along with Big Brain Academy Wii at $20, and Shaun White Road Trip Target Edition Wii at $13.xx.

Plenty of Band Hero box sets for the 360, one orig Rockband boxed set for PS2, but no Beatles anything anywhere.

I can't believe the DSi bundles hitting clearance--that's just crazy, crazy good for CAGs, but still crazy.
