Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

ElHoardo1.jpg

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.
If someone could be a big help, could anyone tell me if there are clearance titles like the games stated in this thread for wii and psp at local arizona target stores? Thank you so much.
Perhaps, perhaps not. This is not an altruistic community, so don't expect any help. Without going to the Targets, you will NEVER find out. And even if someone did tell you a game was at a specific Target when they were there, doesn't mean it will be there when you decide to go. Also, Arizona is a big state with several Target's, if you really wanted help you should have also put a city. If it's Tucson, go to the one on Broadway near El Con, i'm sure they have a clearance game there.

well I know. but seeing so many people are posting their finds, but more importantly i would like to know which store does clearance since I'm pretty sure the one I am near at does not. To state again, it would be a great thanks if someone can confirm clearance in target stores in glendale, arizona. Thanks.

Didn't see anything of note when I visited my local Target about a week and a half ago, but maybe it's time for a re-look.

If anyone is in the NJ area, could you see if Targets in your area still have Mirror's Edge (PS3) for $5. The 4 I've checked near me are completely out.
called corporate they are aware of the ps3 deal but they said they were researching that information and they wouldnt price adjust at the moment fffuuuuuu
All I have to say to this is absolutely fucking pathetic. Seriously get over it. There is no conspiracy and they are not holding them back on you. Corporate will never help you out and you are just going to have to live with a second hand ps3 if you are going to be this way. /rant

People urk me... Anyways I'll be checking the local targets out tomorrow, hopefully see something new. I'll keep you updated

Picked up Wario Land @ the Fullerton (Malvern street)Target.
They had 2 copys left (in the glass case, they still have the old $20+ price on them, but they scan for $12.48.

They had Rabbids2 and RabbidsTVParty for $12.48 to.

The other Target in Fullerton (On Harbor), is still in ruins.
Games ALL over the place. There 360 demo unit has the bare pcb exposed lol.
I'm surprised they don't shut that thing off..kinda dangerous :p
Saw new drops today at my local Target:

Tony Hawk Ride (360) - $80ish

Brutal Legend (PS3) - $41.xx
Resistance 2 (PS3) - $41.xx

Planet 51 (PS3) still scanning at $24.98
LOL, Tony Hawk ride is already on clearance? What's the lowest it will go at 75% off? 29.98? I wouldn't even buy it for $4.98.

I'm going to have to keep a look out for brutal legend and resistance 2. Thx.
Modern Warfare 2: Hardened (360) $55 in chicago.
I wonder if this is worth the $55.00 The regular game will go on sale again for $39.99
I know you get the extra call of duty original download but not sure
I might wait for next price drop

Supposedly games will be made to take advantage of the board. I wouldn't pay $30 but if it were mispriced at $5....I'd pick it up. ;)

Man, this is bullshit. I went to target today to look for some clearance games. There was a huge sign that said Betty Crocker Au Gratin potatoes for $.97 but then they were out of them. I asked the guy to check the back and he said there were none there.

I just checked the stock checker and there's TONS of potatoes in stock. I just emailed corporate to see wtf was going on. I'm fucking hungry for potatoes and cheese dammit. ANd I will get what I want. OH YES I WILL!

You're probably the one hoarding them all in the area and saying that to cover yourself up. Leave some for the rest of us.
Man, this is bullshit. I went to target today to look for some clearance games. There was a huge sign that said Betty Crocker Au Gratin potatoes for $.97 but then they were out of them. I asked the guy to check the back and he said there were none there.

The employees are obviously hoarding all the potatoes in in back so they don't have to worry about side dishes for the next month when cooking dinner.

Why are so many people freaking out just because something is msrp or OOS? Eventually the PS3 will drop below $250. Just have a little patience.

saw a bunch of DS games at my target for around 14 bucks... was real surprised to see GTA Chinatown wars... was real tempted to pick it up... but got GTA vice city stories for ps2 instead... :p

The Target in North Colorado Springs (Union & Powers) just added a shit load of games to their clearance. Xbox 360, PS3, DS, PS2. 20+ games for each platform
LOL, Tony Hawk ride is already on clearance? What's the lowest it will go at 75% off? 29.98? I wouldn't even buy it for $4.98.

I'm going to have to keep a look out for brutal legend and resistance 2. Thx.
I noticed my Local Goodwill has a ton of Tony Hawk Rides they got from Target now...lol

They probably hid them in the back and are waiting for next month's drop.

how much are they?
Today I found a lone Xbox 360 CoD Modern Warfare 2 bundle console at @279.98, which was 30% off. I thought over waiting another week to get 50% off, but it was the last one, so it could be sold out this weekend. I am not sure it was a good decision, but I bought it because I didn't want to lose it. I am satisfied with this purchase.
30% of $399 is definitely not $279.98.
30% of $399 is definitely not $279.98.
Math 101 ftw, it is most def 30%.

I flipped them all on eBay.

To be fair, 30% of $399 isn't $279.30, it's $119.70. But, 30% off $399 (i.e. 70% of the original price) is $279.30.

Semantics++

Game_Dude's right, 30% of $399 is $119.70 and 30% off of $399 is $279.30 :D

EDIT: Damn, by the time I hit Post you two had already responded.

But the first guy said "Today I found a lone Xbox 360 CoD Modern Warfare 2 bundle console at @279.98, which was 30% off. "

In conclusion, game_dude completely fails intro to math but his statement in a vacuum is technically true.

Game_Dude is right, but given the context of what he quoted:
which was 30% off
it gets rather confusing.

I think there needs to be a giant disclaimer in the original post that reads:

You will not find a PS3 or XBox360 in this clearance sale, despite what people have reported. Nope. No Sir. Just not going to happen. Give it up.

And that DSi bundle you were thinking about for your Grandma/ebay flip? You can forget that too.

Buy some potatoes. Or, grab a PS2 GTA for your 8 year old nephew--his Mom will appreciate it.

It's probably impossible by now, but if anyone could get me a copy of DMC4 (PS3) and/or Warioland Shake It (Wii), I'd gladly pay back + shipping + extra.
Dude, have you not been reading? THERE ARE NO MORE POTATOES BECAUSE THE EMPLOYEES ARE HOARDING THEM!
They have the Target brand potatoes, but they're not on clearance and not as good as the Betty Crocker potatoes, which are on clearance (YMMV).

When I asked an employee near the potato aisle where all the Betty Crocker clearance potatoes were, she snickered and said "they be'z gone."

I noticed that her pants/legs/buttocks looked like sacks of potatoes, with bulges protruding out of them, and accused her of potato hoarding and she said "prove it bitch", but that was as far as I was going to take it. When she walked, from the waste down it looked like a couple of pitbulls fighting under a blanket.

But not the store brand cereal. O wait there is a 50 cent off coupon for that to. And the fruit snacks.

Checked for both the PS3 and 360's at a local targets, EVERY PS3 was sold out (So i assumed they did have them), and they didnt have the MW2 360. They also had Brain Age DSi's, but none were on clearance =/.

Also, they didnt have JACK on the clearance isles, just Guitar Hero Decades (or whatever its called for the DS), for 21.99, and Rockband for Ps2 for 70 dollars

2 of my 3 local Targets and 1 moe out of the way Target today had TONS of Wii, DS and PSP games on clearance. They're at the first level drop, but there were probably over 50 or 60 games at each store.

Only one of my stores had the Decades for DS - it was at the 21.xx price point. Some of the others had the single GH box set for Ds, but it was on the 30% clearance.
Supposedly games will be made to take advantage of the board. I wouldn't pay $30 but if it were mispriced at $5....I'd pick it up. ;)
Yeah, after the huge success of tony hawk ride, I'm sure they're dying to put out those other games they promised that will also use the board. Videogame companies love losing money, right?

I hate to be the one to tell you those games most likely aren't coming. Sry

It's not the same company...other companies will use it. They don't have to sell the thing...it's already in homes. They only have to create software that will use it. The problem I keep hearing about TH Ride is that the game didn't use the board correctly...but the board itself is solid. You are thinking about the game not the hardware. $30....no, but for $5, I can't see how that would be much of a loss. Not that they would ever sell it at that price. :p

I haven't seen any of the Mario DSi bundles let alone on clearance, but have seen the Brain Age versions marked down. One Target even put them in the toy clearance aisle for some reason.
They don't have to sell the thing...it's already in homes.
If Tony Hawk has been as much of a flop as some suggest, then the boards certainly aren't in a lot of homes. Which would give less incentive for developers to put money into games that require the boards. Tony Hawk ain't exactly Wii Fit.
