Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

ElHoardo1.jpg

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Picked up a Shaun White Snowboard (360) for ~10.xx. Fun game for the price. Need to find a copy of Demons Souls now.
Can anyone else confirm Lego Rock Band for $24?
I saw it today for the 360 at $24.xx (50% off).

I also saw :360: Fight Night Round 4 for $19.xx (50% off).

Didn't see any new drops from last week.

saw Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 for 41.98 in Chicago today(elston ave). Still in the glass case along with FNR4 for 19.98 Guitar Hero Smash Hits(didn't check the price). They had 1 endcap of Band Hero and Beatles sets, and another with other clearence games. Lotsa DS and Wii junk, more than 10 COD Hardened for 360 and 3 for PS3, and other various games, nothing really jumping out. No Demons Souls. I don't know if anyone else has reported Marvel, so I thought I'd point it out. I'll wait for the next drop, I think.
Can anyone else confirm Lego Rock Band for $24?
I haven't confirmed this in-store myself, but if you want Lego Rock Band, Best Buy currently has a Gamers Club coupon for $20 off the 360 version on the Reward Zone site, and lists the regular price for it on their website as $39.99. So in theory, you should be able to get it for $19.99 there if you don't want to wait for a bigger Target drop.

Saw 5 copies of Tekken 6 :360: at the Streetsboro, OH Target this morning.

Also found 1 original edition of Gears 2(not GOTY) that was in the clearance spot but rang up $29.99 :(

Finally, has anyone found Beatles: RB LE for $125 yet? That's my magic point.

Went to 4 Targets today to find me some treasure but unfortunately, theres nothing to be excited about for us PS3 owners. The only thing that piqued my curiosity was the fact that at one Target, they had the "new" PS3s that said, "Netflix Streaming Ready" right out of the box. hmmm... dint check to see if theres an update yet. Also, Call of Juarez for the PS3 is priced at 9.99 in one of the stores @.@ but ofcourse, it was OOS. i also checked the other 4, and no dice. >.< anyways, i saw for the 360:

Lego RB 50%
GH: Metallica 30%
GH: Smash Hits 30%
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 30%
FNR4
Bakugan

:360: Fight Night Round 4 $19.98
:360: Resident Evil 5 $27.98
:360: Lego Rock Band $24.98
:360: Bakugan $34.98
:360: GH: Smash Hits $19.98
:360: Bionic Commando $14.98

Nothing for me, maybe FNR4 once it reaches $9.98
Can anyone else confirm Lego Rock Band for $24?
I can in N. Illinois

I got a Wii Fit bundle for 39.98 in socal. Picked it up last week. San Diego Balboa. Just finished selling it for $100 :)
yeah its really weird. I go to one location that has religious Monday drops. Then when I go in on Weds or Thurs, they have a bunch more crap that wasn't there on Monday. But that is the only store I've seen this. All others keep the same product for about a week before adding new stuff..I've noticed some of my Monday stores haven't dropped in a while. Everything is so outta wack!!
I go to 5 in the Houston area and for the most part nothing big has been on clearance. The only price drops I saw was Madden 08 and WWE 08 for $8....this was last Thursday.
ugh socal has the wackest target clearance.
That's because you don't live in the middle of no where!

Picked up:

Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn (Wii) - $12.48
Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift (DS) - $7.48

Also saw a bunch of other games still at 30% off...will wait for further drops on those.

Saw only 2 games in the clearance section. Call of juarez PS3 for $10 and Battalion wars II (wii) $12. They still had several Beatles Rockband sets for $175 (both for 360 and PS3).

Grabbed Bionic Commando for $14.98 last week, but only thing left this week was Devil Kings for $10.xx. Everything else was shovelware, kids games, or overpriced. Better luck next week I guess.

Saw today:
:ps3:007: Quantam of Solace for $20.98
:ps3: Cars: Race o Rama for $20.98 also.

Good thing about these is that they were in the glass case, so there's a good chance they'll drop again without being depleted. I'm hoping to pickup 007 around $10 or so.

Anyone found the GH: On Tour DS Box Sets (with both games) for 90% yet? I've been watching a bunch of them at 75% for the past week that have just been sitting. Hope they drop soon.

North Vegas Target had a pretty hefty supply of DS games and PSP games and some Wii stuff. They had a boatload of Midnight Club for PS3, Lego Rock Band had just hit clearance today it's sitting at $37.98. I didn't pick up any games, but scored a lot in the toy section for my daughter, they were all 75% off. Also, they did have the Wii Sports Resort with two motion plus attachments for $41.98.

I saw black nunchucks for the Wii at about $12.xx in Appleton WI. I also saw Lego Rock Band (360) for $24, Star Wars: FU (PS3) for $10.

I have been watching these too. Waiting for a while to see them drop.
Wait, what?! Wireless controllers? Can anyone else confirm?
I can confirm... that they are wireD controllers, not wireless. ;) I'm going to wait and see if they drop to under $10. That's a good price, you can plug in and use em for PC then, and they're handy if you lug your xbox around somewhere semi-public (convention, for example, or house party) and don't want your controllers walking away on you. Nobody's gonna try to swipe a wired controller in this day and age.

It's interesting seeing the Touch Generation (i.e. quality 1st party games) starting to pop up amongst the DS shovelware. Saw Prof. Layton 1, Nintendogs, and and that Pedometer thingy on first-tier clearance ($20.xx-34.xx).

The clearance endcap was exploding with stuff. I can't even remember to dozens of DS games and Wii games. I remember seeing lots of rockband beatles, 1 or 2 band heroes...

rockband 1 band kits for the ps2 - 54.98
I saw black nunchucks for the Wii at about $12.xx in Appleton WI.
are you kidding me? i saw black nunchuks at the target i went to tonight, but they were $19.99.

i just bought 2 black nunchucks from gs deal for $19.99x2 - $7.. still cost $36 shipped, $13ea would be better.

Went tonight and only found The Conduit (Wii) for $7.48, which I purchased.

edit: they also had Star Wars: FU for $13.98 on the 360. Not a clearance item but while looking behind the glass, I saw they had ME2: CE already up. I'm sure if anyone tried to buy it, they would be denied once the registered displayed DO NOT SELL TILL..

Games I saw at Redwood City and San Mateo, CA stores:

Marvel Ultimate Alliance (360): $41.98
Guitar Hero Smash Hits: I forget the price but Amazon's been much cheaper lately
Lego Rock Band: $35.xx
Quantum of Solace (ps3): $20.xx

Everything was too rich for my blood.
I have been watching these too. Waiting for a while to see them drop.
My store had a pile of the DS Guitar Hero double packs at 75% off last week and they were all gone this week, and a HUGE pile of assorted crap got put into clearance. Not sure if they finally sold em all at 75% or if they just didn't drop any further. Kind of sorry I missed out but I already had the first game and grip so the $20 was a bit much for just Decades..
Yes, the Ps2 Rockband instruments work on the PS3.

I also saw Lego RB for 360 for 24.98, but Wii and PS3 were still at $49.99
Thanks. Maybe I'll snag one if I'm lucky enough to find it for 27.48

Anyone ever have any problems exchanging something that was clearanced at one Target for the SAME item at another Target?

I got flak today (and got denied) because a game I got on clearance at one Target was a different price at another Target and all I wanted was a new game (same game that I bought just new in that it wouldnt be messed up) since the one I got was messed up from the factory.

They told me go to the Target I bought it at. But that Target no longer carries this game as its all bought out and I am sure they wont bring in any new copies unless someone returns theirs.

If I want to just do an exchange for the SAME game at another Target they say I need to pay the difference in price. WTF?

Its the SAME ITEM. I know they have different clearance prices but what the hell, this isnt an open box item purchase. Its a new factory sealed purchase that was messed up from the factory and I just want an exchange....again for the SAME item not something different.

I've never been given crap before at BB or Walmart over something like this. They just adjust the price and exchange the item so long as its the same exact item.

Is this policy there or did I just get a NARC manager?

You got crapped on... normally shouldn't have problems just go back there on a different day, or if you live where I do you have an option of like 5 targets lol

That's just the way they do it. They refund the original purchase and make you rebuy the new item at the current price. A manager might adjust for you, but that is YMMV.

This has happened to my wife more than once buying clothes on sale for the kids and trying to exchange them for a different size after the sale is over.

The simple solution is to buy the replacement item at the second store (regardless of price) and then immediately return the item from the first store there using the second store receipt. They don't need to know that you bought the same thing at another Target for a cheaper price.
