Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

ElHoardo1.jpg

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Found a bunch of Mario & Sonic at the Olympics DS for $8.74 at an out of the way Target (for me) this morning. Grabbed one...nothing much else of interest there though.
Yea, I guess when i said department store I meant more of a Target/WalMart type of store. But you are right, you can get your fashion fix from Macy's downtown! ;)
Had to scroll back to see what city you guys were talking about-- at first I assumed you were talking about Cincy! :D

Not an update post (although nearly every bit of information up to this point is in the OP) but anyone notice when you google Cheap Ass Gamer, two of the Target Clearance threads show up in the link section beneath the link to CAG? Good job guys, your passion for Target clearance is really showing!

No new games marked down, no new prices at my local. The roads are finally starting to clear up in Middle-of-Nowheresville, North Carolina, so tomorrow I plan on venturing a little further.

Man, after I posted saying MW2 Hardened should drop today, Target sure made me look like a douche. $55.98 still here. Hope it drops sometime this week, 'cause I won't have the money next week.

Viera, FL store had 3 or 4 Singstar Queen for $19.99 & Fallout 3 (PS3) for $27. RE5 (360) & 3 360 wired controllers were also in the 30% off end cap but didn't catch the prices.

The PS3 case has about 1 of every game. Seems like it has been this way for weeks. How often do stores typically restock their inventory?

Ugh, my Target was basically out of clearance games unless you wanted High School Musical for $4.98. I did see some Beatles Rock Bands though.

For those that picked up the TomTom 140, what was the number on it? The sticker said 057 16 0060 but when I plugged it in the price scanner, it came up as 'item not found.' There were probably 10 of them at least priced at $89 and I didn't feel like bothering a worker to get a price check. I will check next week to see if it dropped but I don't really need a gps, just would be nice to have.

Got GTA Trilogy (PS2) for $14.xx today. I was going to wait for the 75% drop, but there were only two copies so I figured I better grab it while I could.

The clearance end cap was filled with Beatles RB (360) for $125. About 6 or 7 left and that was that. No wii games with red stickers and only saw Transformers for PS3 stickered for $14.xx. Could someone explain to me why Balls of fire is still $15!!!!!! They have 8 copies on the shelf!!!!!!! It's shovelware just drop it under $10 and get rid of it already!
Picked up today:

Lips #1 hits bundle (360) $29.98

Zack & Miri Make a Porno (Blu-Ray) $4.96 (left 3 on the shelf)
I'm gonna have to check for Zack and Miri at that price. Wow. Thanks for posting that, Orrimarrko.

About to check back at my local targets tommorow that had the massive clearance isle (Resident Evil 5, Guitar Hero Smash Hits, etc), couldnt help but lol when i was at a targets earlier and saw they had 10+ copies of "Disaster Movie" on clearance for under 5 dollars.

Snagged:
Monopoly (Wii) - $14.98
Rock Band Unplugged (PSP) - $14.98
Lego Rock Band (360) - $24.98

First clearance purchases since Black Friday for me. For any Indy CAGs, this was at Castleton. Got the last Lego Rock Band, but there were more of the other two. Also a ton of DS games and some kids 360 & PS3 games, along with Beatles Rock Band for 25% off.

I wonder if any Beatles: RB LEs will last to 75% off? None of the stores around here were moving ANY at 25%, and I only saw one store today at 50%.
I wonder if any Beatles: RB LEs will last to 75% off? None of the stores around here were moving ANY at 25%, and I only saw one store today at 50%.
That would be MAD!!!! I'd totally bite at 75% off...

I would hoard the Beatles RB LE's at 75% off, even if it took me 2 tanks of gas to get them all..(don't know what for, just for the hell of it and maybe build a fort..)

A Beatles fort? :p

That would be fun to see! Almost as funny as the guy who was going to build a fort out of free games from BB.

I haven't seen that Lips bundles on clearance anywhere around here. I'd almost like to pick up 2 for the mic and the bonus songs (which you can't get from the Lips store)... Maybe I'll make a circle tomorrow just to look.

Edit... But then I'd have 5 mics... Nevermind. Not worth that.
Grabbed Lips #1 Hits 29.98 (3-4 left) and Demons Souls 29.98 (5-6 left)
I have been to every Target in Oklahoma City metro and can't find Demon's Souls. :bomb:

When an item doesnt show up like that its 99% of the time gone salvage, I'd go back soon if I were you because they have to sell it to you for at least final clearance price.

Last week I was driving around looking for a Target I'd never been to and I was so lost it wasn't even funny. Having a GPS would have made my life so much easier, and for ~$50 it would be worth it in case I ever get lost again.

I got a bit lucky today, and spent a little more than I should have. I got
Guitar Hero Metallica (PS3): 19.98
Guitar Hero Smash Hits (PS3): 19.98
Star Wars Force Unleashed (PS3): 9.98
Kingmaker Imperial Edition Guitar for PS2/PS3: 27.98

Also to my surprise there was a Black Wiimote with Motion plus marked as (repackaged) I asked if I could open it up and everything was there, got it for $35.

On a side note I ran to best buy to pick up Just Dance for the wii, 29.99.

I only found stacks of Spectrobes and Force unleashed both for DS 9.98 each. Also the guitar hero ds dual pack for 21.98 and nothing else.
I would hoard the Beatles RB LE's at 75% off, even if it took me 2 tanks of gas to get them all..(don't know what for, just for the hell of it and maybe build a fort..)
There was a hilarious thread on CAG years ago that was filled with people who had bought up dozens of PS3s at launch to sell on eBay and fuck over their fellow human beings. I should go try and find it someday. It was at once pathetic and hilarious. I wonder if any of them have any 60gbs left, waiting for them to bounce back up over $600.

That said, it wouldn't be horrible to build a fort out of Beatles RBs. You'd only need like five of them.

Found the "2 Wii Motion Plus" version of Wii Sports Resort (207-26-0504) on the clearance rack at the Humble, TX SuperTarget for $41.98. This is only the first markdown and they had quite a few, but I honestly thought this was a deal for the original $60 price.... at this price it's like buying the Wii motion Plus's and getting the game for free.

Amusingly they have also have the 1 Wii Motion Plus version (only 1 copy) for $49.99 on the next aisle over (ie regular price). All things being equal I'll pay $8 less and take the extra Wii Motion Plus. :)

Picked up Trivial Pursuit (360) for $4.98 at an area San Jose store, also saw MW2 Hardened Edition (360) for $39.98. Thought about grabbing it but decided not to since I have it for PC.

Here is what I found @ my local Target today in regards to clearance...nothing of any worthwhile price for me to bite...

SF4 PC - $19.xx
Fallout 3 360 (Original NOT GOTY version) - $27.xx
RB Unplugged PSP - $14.xx
Hotel Dusk - $13.xx
Resident Evil 5 360 - $27.xx
GH Smash Hits 360 - $27.xx

Scribblenauts Strategy guide - $13.xx

There were other games, but I don't recall what they were. Nothing worth mentioning apparently.
Man, after I posted saying MW2 Hardened should drop today, Target sure made me look like a douche. $55.98 still here. Hope it drops sometime this week, 'cause I won't have the money next week.
It was $40 at the Target on Balboa in San Diego. When I checked, there was one 360 version left and two or three PS3 versions... so you were right... just not where you live. ;)

LOL, I remember that! thousands of people were stuck with them because the PS3 resale market tanked like a month after launch. They were so desperate to sell them that they would attach some sort of sob story to the listing and women were posing half nude with the consoles in the auction photos.

On topic I may try and swing by a couple of my local stores on the way home to see if there's been further drops on anything worth while.
I'm still waiting on the damn Brain Age DSi's to drop at mine.
Oh good, I'm not the only one robotically scanning in the barcode every few days to see if the drop's happened. I have a feeling that the bundles are all going to be grabbed by employees when/if the drop happens, though.

Only thing I found last night was a couple of Case Logic CD binders (192 capacity, I think) for $5.xx each. Well, that solves my DVD storage issues handily.

Anyone in South Jersey manage to find a Demon's Souls at the $30 price point? If you could point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it. I have seen a few stores at $41.98 but thats a little too high for me.

Chantilly, VA had 2 PS3 and 1 360 RB Beatles Edition yesterday @ 30% off.

Other than that, I didn't see much. I did notice howver a small, glass cabinet on the other electronics clearance section with boxed items in it. I assume they probably put smaller but more expensive ticketed items in there?
Last week I was driving around looking for a Target I'd never been to and I was so lost it wasn't even funny. Having a GPS would have made my life so much easier, and for ~$50 it would be worth it in case I ever get lost again.
Having a map is awesome. What paid off dividends was being able to find POI near me, then say shopping, then "target". I used it to find every target along the i-5 corridor between portland and Seattle. Scored a few games.

When I get home form Work I will check my box and receipt for the SKU/DCPI/whatever and post.

Parma, OH store had no :ps3: or :360: games on clearance. Saw mostly Wii games for only 30% off like RB2 and GH: Metallica.

I did spot one each of RB: Beatles sets for 25% off so far:
Beatles Rock Band :360: 207 22 0372
Beatles Rock Band :ps3: 207 24 0287
ASIN: B00266JB42
What was the site where I could search via ASIN and DCPI's? I remember it posted earlier but I just can't find it. Cheers!
