Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

ElHoardo1.jpg

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

They dont really stop doing clearance .. you're probably just missing where they are putting the stuff, or the fact that there may not be much to clearance. If you see things on clearance here in the thread, take them to a price scanner. I know there are many things that don't get clearance tags at times but they still ring up with clearance prices. It's hit or miss, really.

Some Targets have two video game clearance areas. One near the video games and one near the DVDs/CDs/Books area. I would check around and make sure they are not there. That and it doesn't hurt to ask one of the random employees walking around the electronics area what's up.
Someone on slickdeals said they got Orange Box for Xbox 360 for $4.98.
I checked a couple of days ago and it was $29.99

Hey, do NOT get Personal Trainer Walking for $24.xx. Wait for $12.xx. Seen it another store for $19.99 - PLENTY!!!

I am gonna return the one I bought (NOT opened yet) for $24.xx and wait longer. If I can't get it at $12.xx I know I will get it at $19.99.

OT: Woot Go Lindsey Vonn!!
fire emblem ds was $15 and i saw prototype for like $30.

Did you see Prototype with a red clearence tag? I was just at Target and it was a non clearence price of $40. I want to wait for $20 or less either way though.

MW2 Hardened edition reappeared today at Target by work; it's still 58 or what ever so I'm gonna hold off on that one. Also, I saw two MW2 X360s show up; but they're at full price. Batman AA also popped up at the mentioned 34.XX. SF 4 was gone though.

On an unrelated note, I picked up cat food for my mom's cats for $.94...yes, it's on clearance.

I was at the Target in Montgomeryville, PA, and I found some goodies. I couldn't pick them up myself, but it may interest someone here.

Guitar Hero: Metallica (PS3) - $19.99
Guitar Hero: Smash Hits (360) - $19.99
Lego Rock Band (360) - $24.99
Scene It: Lights, Camera, Action (PS3) - $9.99
Band Hero Full Band Kit (360) - $99.99

Stopped by the Target on White Bridge Rd in Nashville tonight after dinner. Nothing new, no price drops. I did find some new Star Wars figures (both 3 3/4 and Galactic Heroes). They also had turkey fryers on clearance for $30 (~50%).
Found a Demons Souls in a clearance pile this morning tagged at 41.98

Checked it on a scanner and it came up 14.98!!!

I had never seen the game in the clearance area before so an employee must have found the game stashed.

When I paid for it the cashier wanted to charge me $41.98 because she thought her register inverted the numbers when she rung it up.

I explained it was tagged with an earlier clearance price and she agreed.
Damn. I wish I had your luck man. How many were there?

I saw Prototype (360) for $20 in my Target's clearance. PS3 version was still $40.

Went to the out of way southern Anchorage Target and saw some different clearance items
$4.98 for Marvel ultimate alliance 2 and the turtles smash up game for the PS2. picked up lips #1 hits for 14.98

Really wish I could find Lips #1 Hits at my 3 local Targets. Surprisingly, that's the game I wanted most from this round of clearance.

Was able to get Nintendogs Dalmation (DS) for $14.98, which isn't too bad considering those damn games are resistant to price drops.

Hey I went to the Germantown , TN target and they have/had 7 copies of Demon Souls at what I believe 31.XX . If I go bad next monday I will try to pick some up for the fellow CAG's at a fair price of $25 . But that is only if they are down to $15 :D Hope me some luck lol

It was the only one there.

If I had seen more I would have picked them up to trade here.

It magically appeared yesterday so I imagine it must have been stashed somewhere.

went there a few days ago, only thing that was a great deal was killzone 2 for 15 bucks... so lots of RE5, can't remember the price though (im thinking 25 or 30)... Also lego rockband for 25

I managed to get them to return the "Product Replacement Plan" I bought a couple days ago last night at the other local Target store, since it wasn't a 'replacement plan' in the conventional sense of the phrase.

It required you to have it repaired 3 times, then if all three repairs failed the company fulfilling the plans would(at their discretion) give you either a new/refurbished/used item identical to yours.

It was a sad, sad day when Best Buy's Product Replacement Plans went away, since they always just said 'go get another one' and you could get a new item off the shelf after using the prior one for the 2-3 years of the plan.

I should have known. I forgot to ask what system. I was looking at PS3 only. 360 was sold out. Thanks for clarifying

They have lots of Beatles:RB bundles at my target. Unfortunately they are still 174.98!

They had :360:Lego:RB for 24.98 and :360:Prototype for 27.98.

I picked up :ps3:Modern Warfare 2 Hardened for $39.98.
That sounds good to me. Did you try to scan at least one of the games and see if it was 14.XX instead?
Went to the out of way southern Anchorage Target and saw some different clearance items
$4.98 for Marvel ultimate alliance 2 and the turtles smash up game for the PS2. picked up lips #1 hits for 14.98
Really? The Wasilla one had nothing good this week.

Yeah no kidding. When I had first bought my PSP 1000 from Best Buy I ran into several issues with dead pixels and then a broken right trigger button. I had bought the plan and like you say they would just tell me to grab a replacement off the shelf.

Back on topic: went to Target yesterday to get a few things before the snow rolled in. All of the external hard drives disappeared weeks ago unfortunately. Saw about a million copies of some racing game for the PS3 (the title escapes me at the moment). Also saw a copy of the quit smoking "game" for the DS marked down to $7.98. Didn't see anything else worth a crap.

Generally speaking, do display models come with everything? I saw an acer netbook on clearance, but I asked an employee to see if they had any and they said they had none in the entire greater area I live in. Also it's 10% off display models right if I do decide to buy the netbook?

Went to Target last night to grab that acer 21.5" monitor - LOVING IT! I'd have loved to get it for less than $160, but now I can enjoy my PS3 in proper AR :)

Only a couple things were on clearance game-wise. Few copies of Singstar Queen, a bakugan, and a couple other 'meh' titles I don't remember that were $20.

Depends on the store. I've grabbed display models before that they had chords/prephs for under the counter or in an office somewhere. Other stores will claim "that's all it is" and you're lucky if you get a power cord! You can always ask, and the return policy should be the same, in case you have any problems.

I can't believe that sometimes stuff is so obvious I just completely miss it. It wasn't until this morning when I went to my local Target to pick up a Blu-Ray on sale, that I noticed sitting right in the main aisle were two X360 Beatles Rock Band Special Editions sitting on the shelf still marked $249.99.

Punched in the DPCI number on the scanner and it came up at $62.48. Hot damn!

:whee:

Went to 2 Targets to try and find one of those Netbooks. No luck ;/. One Target had about 30 copies of GH3 for PS2 at 7.48$ lol.. Also saw about 3 Beatles rockband priced at 125$.

@skater, I thought the netbook display models were those plastic ones? That's all I've ever seen at Target anyways, they didn't use actual display models for them. Damn, I would really love to find one especially since my brothers laptop just died after 2 years.

Edit* I also saw a box of 25 count #2 Bubble Mailers for 3.78$ or so. Are those good for sending out XBOX 360 games? If so how many can fit per mailer?

saw some Fable 2 standard editions marked $7.48 on the tag below the case, but when I scanned them it rang up $19.99. Do you think if I got an employee or manager they'd sell one to me for $7.48 since that's what the price card says?

Without a doubt if you had made any issue about how it rang up as opposed to how it was marked you would get it for how its marked. Thats false advertising.

Not sure about those mailers in particular, but when i ship a game i use this 2-pack from the Dollar Tree. Its just about the same size as a dvd case and holds it snugly..never had any issues with shipping them..only cost $1.90 to mail first class.

The Target at Polaris Mall in Columbus, OH had nothing but shovelware this week. Save yourself a trip if you were planning a stop.

The price of the Acer Netbook is ~$130. They also have an HP mini (?) for ~$165.

They have 2 netbooks on display; a fake plastic one, and an actual netbook (acer netbook). The acer netbook on display has a thin 1cm plastic sheet covering the keyboard so people couldn't bash on it, so if I were to buy it I don't think I would have any problems with the keyboard itself. The only bad thing about the netbook on display, is that they have a sticker covering the entire screen and I tried scratching part of it off but it was leaving residue behind.

For ~$130 it's worth it (well if I can at least get the power cord).

Advice: Don't give away your location with something so specific. Say Monday rolls around and there is a price drop, don't be surprised if El Hoardo has struck before you could even roll out of bed,

Ha! If I was in his area, I'd do the same thing too! I've got a Target with some juicy stuff I'm hoping will drop tmorrow, but no Demons Souls...

Doubt most people will care, but my Target has 750 sheets of HP multi-purpose printing paper (20lb) clearanced at 50%. Picked up 750 sheets for $3.24.

Valentine's Day stuff is 75% - 90% off. I picked up a $15 box of Choxie Truffles for $1.50 and some hearts with chocolate inside for $0.09.

They fit 2 games easily, 3 might be a stretch.

Get it, a stretch? You're punny and don't even know it.

Just visited my local target. They had about 25 copies of Midnight Club for X360 for 14.xx. They also had equally large amounts of PS3 Guitar Hero Metallica and Singstar Queen for 19.xx

Do I punch the DPCI number right onto the standard "price scanner" to see the price?

I'll have to check out my local Targets for this. Thanks!

Yep. As long as your Target's scanners have them (some of mine don't), it makes it easier to know if the price dropped that week.

The Target out by me (Riverhead, NY) had nothing in the way of games. They did however have a huge wall full of 14 oz. Mrs. Fields 14 oz premium Assorted Chocolates tins (the heart shaped Valentine's kind) for .99 each. I went El Hordo on that shit and grabbed 3 (not just for myself) and a .79 Heart box of Turtles. :D

You Bastard !! :) I was going to check that one tomorrow , But No Chocolate and No Games = No Dice ! Seriously !
