Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

ElHoardo1.jpg

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.
Honestly, what made me wanna quit was when I tallied up how much I was spending on a per pack basis multiplied per year and figuring out that I could've had a couple new cars during the years I was a smoker from all of the cash that went up in smoke.

Of course, I also tried a disgusting trick someone told me. I used a paper/plastic cup as an ashtray for a week, filled with enough water to only put out the cigarette butts. Then at the end of that week, I took a deep whiff of the brown gunk that was in that damn cup.

The putrid/nasty smell put me off smoking for good in a heartbeat.

Good luck in your battle. As long as you have someone to support you when you're feeling weak and wanna light up 'just one more', you can make it through.

Just don't be surprised when your body tries purging the built up goop that's amassed in yer lungs from smoking. It gets kinda nasty at times.

If all else fails, you could just wait till the PS3 version(coming out March 30th) goes on clearance.
I've been off cigs for about 6 months or so now, and I still think about lighting up every now and again. I still smoke cigars off and on, but I'm thinking of tossing those now, too.

Quitting smoking is quite hard when you love it so much.

anyone is so cal have any luck finding gta episodes marked down? I just checked my local target but they only had one and it was full price. I'm really hoping to find this on the cheap even though I know t is very ymmv
I'll definitely be on the lookout for Fallout 3 for that price! Thanks!
If you want the PS3 version, you can get the Game Of The Year edition for $29.97 currently at Sears. It has all of the expansion/DLC packs.

It wasn't so much that I loved it, it was an addiction, one that admittedly is tough for many to break. My one ex gf who I just bumped into a couple of days ago stopped smoking back in October and said the same thing about wanting to light up every now and then, but she's somehow fought off that urge.

She even does like I do when in the local casino and people blow a smoke cloud in her direction(fans with her hands lol). For how pissed off she used to get with me over when I would do that, she's ending up just like me.;)

2 copies of Hawx magically showed up at my Target. Picked both up at $9.98

Also saw a bunch of a PC games. Batman: AA for PC, still at 29.98 though.

All full price in North county SD.

So now that I've found RE5 for $9.98...is it worth it? Tried the demo tonight and was not impressed. I had forgotten how much I hated the RE combat system.

I'm going to try the demo again, but the first thing I thought after fumbling w/ the controls and dying was 'this game sucks'.

Very enjoyable co-op experience if you've got a buddy. Can't imagine playing it with the cpu controlling my partner.

Agreed, its a great game, and worth full price. Hell, once they finally decide to drop the price here (Been at 19.99 for 3 weeks now), im gonna bring it home, and insta-buy all of the DLC on Xbox Live for it.

Went to two targets, Redwood City CA and Mountain View CA...nothing stuck out except a guide for MUA2 for $4.98...I may pick it up when it drops again since I'm new to the whole series and I picked up the game 2 weeks ago. Still waiting for Lego Rock band to hit $14.98. Still stuck at $25.

You're waiting on a price drop from a game that is $4.98? Wow.

As for Hawx, I'll DEFINITELY be on the lookout for that. Been wanting to pick that up for quite some time so I'll be there tomorrow. Thanks for the heads up!

Bought 2 copies of Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 guides for $4.9x each. If someone in San Diego wants it, they can pick one up from me for whatever it costed =P Otherwise, I'll probably end up returning it.

No good drops at all when I went either. More than half of the 750 sheets of paper also disappeared, so if you want them, I'd hurry =P Saw a copy of Little Big Planet in a plastic case too, and I got excited thinking it's on clearance, but it scanned full price.
Lol, won't get lower than $4.98. Only stuff that usually gets that low is the DS games like Quantum of Solace or Wolverine.
He said it's an MUA2 guide, not game. I would've skipped buying it as well.

I think it was a guide (not game) that was 4.98.

:360: MW2 HE still holding strong at 55.98 here and it's driving me insane. Started with 15 copies and now down to 1 lone wolf. It won't make it til next drop, so I'll be missing out on it. Oh well.

I would love to pick up GTA: EfLC for 9.98 though. Still $39.90 here.
anyone is so cal have any luck finding gta episodes marked down? I just checked my local target but they only had one and it was full price. I'm really hoping to find this on the cheap even though I know t is very ymmv
I typed a DCPI number in and got a weird return of like 39.90, dont know what thats about but its got the classic NCF before the name that normally signals approaching (or on) clearance.

I hated the demo too, it really turned me off to the game. Then I picked up the full game and started playing through it and even though it's the same, it didn't seem nearly as hard to control after awhile.

It's actually a pretty decent game, ties up a ton of the Resident Evil mythos from the first few games if you're a fan ... definitely answers more questions than RE 4 did. The scenery changes significantly as the game progresses too, so you don't have to worry about the setting being random shanty towns for 90% of the game. For $10 I'd definitely open that sucker up and give the story some time to get going.

Charleston, SC Target has Lego Rockband :360: for $12.48 and a few game guides for $4.98 (Halo Wars, Scribblenauts, and some Star Wars Clone Wars game). Grabbed the last copy of Jak and Daxter The Lost Frontier for $7.48. Didn't find any box of 25 bubble mailers on clearance. :(
If you want the PS3 version, you can get the Game Of The Year edition for $29.97 currently at Sears.

For how pissed off she used to get with me over when I would do that, she's ending up just like me.;)
LOL, I'm now the one who waves smoke away and hates the smell of it - when I smoked I didn't care :p

To be perfectly honest, I quit smoking for several reasons, and the largest was because the girl I was dating at the time really didn't like it - I figured in the end that whether things worked out or not, it was in my best interest to quit smoking, so I did.

So I didn't have much passion behind my reason, I guess is the reason I still have cravings (even though I don't give in). I feel like my "quitting" can be likened to the "love" a man has for a woman he knocked up.... doing it because it's the right thing to do, and not because you want to.....

My Target still has lego rock band and RE5 at full price. I'm tempted to make a UPC and scan just to find the price. They have been in the past extremely reliable on pricing for clearance. Only thing on the rack is DS games.

Went to two Targets today in the Virginia Beach area.

:360: Resident Evil 5 will not drop from $19.xx, wanted to pick it up as a cheap gift but it's been stuck at that price for weeks. I picked up the guide for :ds: Scribblenauts @ $4.98. Punched the numbers at both stores on Beatles Rock Band and Band Hero but they are still at $174.xx and $139.xx, respectively. I've never got into the music games, but if the whole kit drops to the price of a game, I might have to bite.

Since it was my day off, I decided to wander around the store and found a 10-pack of retractable Sharpies marked from $11.79 down to $2.94, an 8-pack of college ruled single subject notebooks marked down from $3.99 to $0.98, and an Energizer Hard Case Work flash light marked from $15.59 to $7.78. There was also a TON of clearance tags in the hardware, locks, and car care sections. Too much stuff to list.

Lol dude, your preaching to the choir @_@, been to the Targets on Greenbrier practically every day this week, waiting for RE5 to drop. (Along with Fight Night and Guitar Hero). Strange thing though, a bunch of wired 360 controllers showed up overnight, all 27.99 though.

It's just started it's drop in Lafayette, IN. It's still at 27.xx. Be happy you aren't here.

I traveled 6 Targets Today, NOTHING good on clearance at all. ALL junk (IMO)!!!

Personal Trainer Walking still NOT $12.xx yet... NO $49.99 Band Hero Xbox 360 either!

Waste of gas......

However, scored a $15 Monopoly Here and Now at Best Buy and preordered Final Fantasy 13 Faceplate at $10!!! :D

Also, ate FREE Pancakes TWICE at two different IHOP locations!!! :D :D :D

And, saw 3 Jake Sully Avatar Action Figure for $4.98 http://www.amazon.com/James-Camerons-Avatar-Action-Figure/dp/B002SNA96C

For whatever reason, clearance has hit a period of stasis for me. Wired 360 controllers stuck at $27, Fight Night Round 4 at $19.xx, COD: MW 2 Hardened at $54.xx, even Lego Rock Band at $24.xx. It's been at least four weeks. My spoiled sense of consumer entitlement is getting aggravated and ruining my mood.

Yep, RE5 still at $27.xx (MSRP is $30) @La Paz OC,CA too. 4 copies left, I'll never see it at $10, so might have to pay $20 when it drops. They also had SFIV PC for $10, and Guitar Hero Smash Hits Xbox 360 for $20 among other less notables. I think I saw Batman AA for PC, but I didn't check the price.

I saw Batman AA here for PC, it was 29.99 (I didnt scan it), also saw some Marvel Hero's game for PSP for 14.99 (Some kiddy show i think), and Fallout 3 (The one with the GOTY sticker, but not the GOTY DLC), for 27.99 on 360.

Looking at the Bioshock 2 CEs left... I think within two months these will be on clearance too... guaranteed!

At 30% OFF You get it for $69.xx It better be Sold out at that price.

Never have my own feelings been so well stated on an internet forum. We got super spoiled over the holidays with the hilariously great $10 off 2 and free points cards (not to mention an overflowing abundance of clearance). Now waiting three weeks for a drop feels like a slap to the face.

Ninja edit: now I'm on the prowl for a Tekken 6 copy at 75% off since I just traded mine in at GS for $33. Here's hoping!

I forgot to mention this, but the Midtown Target in Charlotte, NC had about 5 copies of :360: Tiger 2010 for $41.xx. I hope these stay until they drop to about $20-$15.

Fairlakes store in VA has RE5 for $10 and Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 for $15.

Also saw that Dark Void started the clearance cycle at $42, as well as GH Van Halen.

Wow, now that was a quick clearance. Deserving, but quick.
Wow, now that was a quick clearance. Deserving, but quick.
I'm not even sure my store ever had any copies of Dark Void. Did see :360: Tiger 2010 for $41.98 though.

Wow, I think I would drop dead right on the spot if my son responded like that. Especially to a Bakugan game. :)

Sad to say, I'd be interested at spending my money on that game at that price lol =P

LOL!. My 9 year old has the DS version and loves it. With the price the Wii version is heading down to soon, I imagine that is on the horizon as well.

Another Target that I rarely go to had quite a bit in the clearance end cap. The highlights included about 6 360 Wired controllers for $27.98. I need one, but am gonna wait for another clearance drop (hopefully). Also there was one copy of the Marvel UA Strategy Guide for $4.98. For that price I would have picked it up, but I left it for someone else seeing that I don't own the game. However if I can find it for $20 or less, I might go back & pick it up.

Batman AA PC was still $34.98... :bomb:

stopped by Target today and they didnt have very much...

:360:RE5 - $19.xx
:ds:Quit Smoking Coach - $7.xx

A few other DS titles that didn't catch my eye. No other console games at all :whistle2:(

Assorted game guides marked at different prices.
Scribblenauts Guide $4.98
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 Guide $4.98
and some others.

Ended up not getting anything.

My other local target had like 3 different GHero titles marked at $20 or so, from what I remember. All for PS3.
