Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

ElHoardo1.jpg

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Yeah, it's probably fuckers like you that I couldn't get a Beatles Rock Band bundle over here. :bs:

In other news, gonna travel southside to see if I can find a Prototype or MUA2 tonight. I would have bought Singstar Queen for $10 if I hadn't just sold my Singstar equipment.

I've been to the 3 targets in my area looking for CoD:MW2 HE, with no luck. My original copy has a "scratch ring" on it, so I was looking to upgrade, and get a 100% reliable disc.

All 3 targets in my area (Livonia, MI) have severely downsized their clearance area in electronics. Is this happening everywhere?
Picked up GH:Smash Hits (360) yesterday for $9.98, I'm not entirely sure why.
I don't think it looks all that bad. Reviews weren't too kind on it, but that was when it was a full priced title. At $10, you're essentially getting a track pack of 48 songs priced at 21 cents a piece. Sure, there are songs you wouldn't want in there, but who cares when you're only paying 21 cents per song? It's still a whole lot better than paying $2 per song through DLC. I wouldn't want to pay much more than $10, but I definitely think it's a worthy purchase at $10.

Where do you live that GameStop is still giving more than a few dollars for this game? Do trade in values vary from store to store?

RE5 FINALLY hit the $9.98 all you guys have been talking about. :whee:

Got 1 for me & 1 for a friend. Think I am rubbing off on her. I asked her if she wanted a copy for $10.00. She said, she did not really like the control scheme, but for $10.00....:lol::lol:

Found a lone copy of Gears 2 GOTY for $7.48 & LIPS #1 HITS for $14.48 (got an additional 10% off cause the box was slightly damaged ;)).

Tekken 6 is still full price.

What a douche. Annoyin when people buy everything to flip. Leave some for someone that wants the game to play. Atleast if you want to be douchy, don't post what a douche you are on here, no one cares about your supposed conquests.

Guitar Hero 5 360 $14.XX last one at a GR,MI Target

Was hoping to find Tekken's @ 90% but they were sadly all gone.

Everybody remember what Target did with their World Tour bundles after clearance standalone copies of the game. I bet in a few weeks we will see clearances GH5 guitar bundles hopefully. After a slow time I've gotten fantastic deals on rhythm games

The video game clearence seems to be thinning out quite a bit here in Chicago. However, there seems to be clearence merchandise on damn near every endcap in some of these stores. Go to toys, theres 3-4 clearence endcaps fo toys. Go to Home and Garden, theres clearence there. Office, clearence, etc. Too bad there's no real good games anymore. I found the initial late-January rush of the Wii shovelware/DS/MW2HE, but since, that stuff sold down and nothing new. Would've bit on one of those DS guitar hero bundles if I saw one around here for 7.48. That's an impulse worthy price. Alas, 29.98 is the lowest I ever saw it and now it's long gone.
Picked up GH:Smash Hits (360) yesterday for $9.98, I'm not entirely sure why.

Smash Hits is fantastic, especially at that price.

Just picked up the last Guitar Hero Smash Hits (360) for $9.98 and Fight Night Round Four (360) for $9.98 in Minnetonka, MN. They had quite copies of FNR4 left.

the " scratch ring" can be fixed with a little help from a product called brasso. My local Targets haven't dropped CoD:MW2 HE yet, but I am anxiously waiting.

This isn't clearance related, but it's Target:

I went to the one on Biscayne to pick up the new Hendrix CD, as was advertised in their ad. I get there and see the tags on the shelf, but there's no CD. I ask the lady behind the desk in electronics and she says they didn't ship the CD at all to their store, nor the store down the street. What the hell is this BS?

To make it relevant, they wiped out their clearance. The shelves were empty. No FFXIII on display either. What a piece of shit store.
Manassas Mall, VA has 5-10 Tekken 6 in the case marked at $29.98 but they are actually $14.98.
Was the game that poorly received? It came out like 6 months ago.
Are you sure? More than 100+??? I was there this night, and I only saw 2 copies left... wow, it goes fast.....
They were not in the usual clearance area. They were sitting at an endcap a few aisles over. I was shocked at how many there were, literally over 100 copies.

6 months is usually the time period for new release games (as of 6 months ago that is) to hit the clearance shelves, unless they are of the Halo, Call of Duty variety.

Stopped by the Valparaiso, IN Target today.

Picked up:
:360: Fight Night Round 4 - $9.98 (3 copies left)
:360: Resident Evil 5 - $9.98 (2 copies left)

Saw:
:360: Guitar Hero: Smash Hits - $9.98 (2 copies left)
:ps3: Singstar: Queen - $9.98 (3 or 4 copies left)

The Bakugan and Choatix games had lone copies left for $12.48 and $9.98 respectively. Anything else that was there I didn't pay too much attention to.

Figured RE5 was worth it for $10 and was willing to reintroduce Fight Night back into my library for $10, as well. I heard they rebalanced that game again here recently.

Thanks for the continuing support of this awesome thread to all those who contribute! I seen most of what was reported by users here in-store but passed on most as I'm not too much into music games.

However, I did decide to pick up a copy of :ps3: 007: Quantum of Solace - $7.xx. I also seen :ps3: about 2 copies of Fallout 3 for $9.xx
Picked up the last copies of

H.A.W.X and

Bakugan at the Target near my work for $9.98 each. Both were behind the glass and labeled with a clearance tag.
I am still wandering why the LAST copy of HAWX for PS3 at my house has been $19.95 for well over a MONTH :bomb::bomb::bomb:

I actually regret buying it at 40 around black friday :\

Speaking of that Target, that one section near the tv, it looks like a vomit of clearance items. Either the department doesn't keep it neat, OR the locals just trash it.

Out by Manassas West it was a bit neater. This one dude with nasty cough kept on eyeballing everything I had in my hand. Picked up GH:GH, Ghostbusters (I know I am asking for trouble with the Secure rom on this), B:AA (even though I beat it on the 360, the mods are starting to come out for it on the pc), TF:ROTF. He left only to come back to see what he can get. I did see he had Yugio (or whatever its called) since I guess that dropped to 12.xx but no interest in that game/series plus my nephew doesn't have a 360 yet.

I recently bought one at my local Target for $14.98 and I flipped it for $24 at my local Gamestop with the 50% bonus trades deal. I got the 360 version and let me tell you IMO the game is worth about $10. I prefer Tekken on the PS3(PSN) over this.

The ground textures were blurry and jaggies on the characters. I know the reviews mentioned long load times but when I started the game I had to update it. Apparently it must have fixed it or made it better because there weren't any long load times I noticed.
the " scratch ring" can be fixed with a little help from a product called brasso. My local Targets haven't dropped CoD:MW2 HE yet, but I am anxiously waiting.
Thanks for the tip. I buffed it out, and finally got it installed on my HD, so I'm good for the time being, but I'd be willing to swap, if CoD:MW2 CE were $20 :)

I'm going to be closely watching this thread for the FFXIII Elite bundle. It's bound to be clearanced out at some Targets in a few weeks. Maybe a little longer.

Well, unless you live in Target, the last copy at your house is probably that much because you haven't marked it down yet. :)

A few weeks? Optimistic, aren't we?

Probably, but Target also seems pretty damn quick to clearance out things like this, it's like they just want to get rid of it because they don't want it to clog up shelf space. I'm just keeping a close eye because I don't want to miss out.
Randomly stumbled onto a copy of TMNT Arcade Attack for the DS for $7.48. I've never even seen this game before.
Got the last one at my local Target. Never saw/heard of it before either but for $7.48 might as well give it a go.
Picked up:

:pc: Bioshock 2 Special Edition (HUGE BOX!!!) $19.98
wait WHAT?!?!?!?!

guess no one wanted to buy the pc version, let a lone for that price.
I think he means receipt or sticker.
Ah, well, I unfortunately won't be having time to do that anytime soon. Take the info or leave it, but I can look to my right and see the bs2 box with the sticker on it.

Just grabbed a lone copy of :ps3:Fallout 3 (non-GOTY) for 9.98 at the Target on 44th St and Thomas in Phoenix.
They had a few copies left of singstar, bakugan (r however that game is spelled), but that was it.
Was hoping for some GH love, but nothing there, nor RE5. I guess I will wait for GS big sale later this month!

What's the DPCI, if you don't mind.

Not much going on...my local Targets eliminated the game clearance endcap and just mix them in with regular priced games now.

I did find a copy of Midnight Club DUB Remix Greatest Hits for $1.26, so I picked it up. :p
What's the DPCI, if you don't mind.
Ok... now that I can do. Quick and easy. Here you go: 201 02 0564

Picked up :360: Fight Night Round 4 for 9.98 .. still a few copies left.

Also saw for PC...

Batman: AA - 12.48
Ghostbusters - 4.98
Transformers - X.98 (either 4.98 or 9.98, I can't remember as I didn't care.)

I picked up Guitar Hero 5 for $14.99 today. Worst. Game. Ever. This was the only game I ever regretted buying from Target on clearance.
