Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in gold are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Well just got back from Target didn't find anything i was looking for i was hoping to get a copy of Spongebob Squarepants Truth or Square all i seen was a copy of Tekken 6 for $28 and a copy of Alone in the Dark for $13 only decent things

So one of my targets had MPT but the other store didnt even have it on clearance but it was in stock. it should go on clearance soon right? the guy told me not every target do their clearances at the same time.

yep. i'm still staking out a target that has it in stock but is at $49.99. Interestingly enough it already has the NCF designation on it. Any week now.

Only new worthwhile drop here in San Antonio was Pokemon (Dark and Time?) going 50% off at one store. I believe it was the new one on Blanco/410, but I visited a few, so I'm not sure. It was more expensive at the other stores. No other games of note.

Consider yourself lucky you didn't find it...kids and I couldn't play it for 30 minutes without putting Lego Harry Potter back in.

Is it really that bad? and hows lego harry potter been debating weather to get Toy Story 3 or Lego Harry Potter i guess which ever one is on sale first ill buy

grabbed de blob today for $14.
saw the (xbox camera/you're in the movies) bundle for $14 a few days ago at another location.

also, I can't believe metroid prime trilogy is finally getting clearanced. I bought the last copy in town about 2 months ago just after they installed the plastic prisons, then 2 weeks later I swing by and they had like 8 more in there. target played me like a fiddle.

And did anyone grab the dpci for Mario Tennis?

It's buggy, but which Lego game isn't?

Platted it today, and I would say it 's better than Lego Batman and Lego Indiana Jones 1/2. Much longer than Indiana Jones 2 as well.

You people that see MPT's for the clearance price should pick them up and resell them or trade them or something....there worth at least $50 or more and a ton of people are looking for them.:drool:

The market has totally collapsed on those things after going on clearance @ TRU & Target. If you look there are crazy people listing them for $75 but the ones that are selling are $45-55.

I saw the Fallout Collection (PC) at a local Target at $7.48. What I hadn't realized was that the $7.48 price is only 50% off. At 75% off, every one should be willing to try it out (atleast for Fallout 1/2). I'm pretty sure I'll end up buying a copy at that price just for the hell of it.

And Sears...i think i paid $12.97 2 months ago for a copy. I recently saw someone report that their $4.97 now if your lucky enough to find one.

I considered it but decided to pass. Didn't like Metroid Prime 2, so I have no interest. I'll let someone that wants it pick it up

wonder if that Fallout PC triple-pack has glitches like the GoG.com releases..I already have them from there, but I'm not doing all that crap to make it run right with the colors.

I'll go $7.48 or lower for it..right now I've only seen it at $10.98 but every store has like 5 copies..
I think "Non carry forward" but basically it means it's hit the clearance cycle.
This isn't correct. Yes, NCF means what you say, but it doesn't mean that it is scheduled for clearance. It just means Target won't carry that item any more. They may just leave it at the current price until it sells out, or they may pull it and send it back to the distributor.

I picked up Toy Story 3 for my kid but have found myself playing it. The toy box mode is great. It is a free roaming, mission based mode that unlocks more options and areas. The whole thing is set in Woody's Roundup, a western setting. You earn gold to buy buildings, other toys and town folk. I find it fun. It is worth the $30 I paid but I wouldn't suggest going much higher.

Okay. What I'd really like to know is where confoosius saw NCF... I've never seen Target put stickers or anything on their product.

You'll find "NCF" on the shelf tags.

its says it on the receipt, right be fore the title and it usually has a generic name afterward like

ncf wii game

Hey, check out the eyes on you guys. Now that Animal has mentioned it, I have seen NCF X game probably 20 times on receipts and it never struck me as meaning anything.

Woah, just re-read the OP and found out about checking inventory online. A Target about 20 mins away from me has LBP + Dualshock bundle. Definitely gonna pick that up today!

i bought this on ebay for around $34 shipped, brand new. i bought it for my fiancee, and i ended up playing through it...the story was short, maybe 3-4 hours, but toy box mode is fantastic...ive easily put in 10 hours just messing around and completing missions

Curses, was hoping I'd get lucky and maybe there'd magically be some more MPT at my store this weekend like a few others had reported, but no luck. Still kicking myself for not buying it when Best Buy had it on sale for $20 around the holidays.

Lots of Tekken and Alone In The Dark, though.

They're not always accurate, so don't go if it'll ruin your day if they don't really have it. and if you call and it's a great deal keep in mind you could very well get a clerk happy to say "Nope, all out" while they stash it for themselves to buy.

Yeah I was reading an old topic around BF when they were like $27 out the door.
I really wish companies would be consistent with their CE.

man it's been the longest time since i've ran into any good clearance at target. finally scored brutal legend today for 4.98. wasn't planning on playing this game, but for 5 bucks, i might as well.

Yes, never call them. If you want a chance at anything on clearance, bringing it to the attention of others when you still have not procured your own copy (if you intend to purchase it) is a bad idea. I'm grateful that we as a community like to help our fellow CAG's find deals on what would otherwise be a very expensive hobby, but in any situation with limited quantities a little rational self-interest before altruism makes sense.

On a side note, I'm loving the recent trend of retailers offering tangible bonuses and discounts on preorders. I was absolutely delighted to find a $34.99 Metroid Prime Trilogy since I missed the Best Buy $20 deal also, but I just find it funny that after the $20 promotional video game credit from Amazon, I will be getting Metroid Other M for roughly $8 less on release than I found Metroid Prime Trilogy on clearance. ;)

YMMV really varies with calling, but I wouldn't recommend it. I didn't mention that an item was clearance but asked if they had it once, and the man offered to hold it for me. Was amazed that I lucked out so much. I wasn't going to go without calling though as the store was 40 minutes away. $30 in savings was well worth it though.

I've seen two Targets with MPT and I've decided to pass on it both times. For some reason I didn't find the games appealing the first time I played MP2E

MP2 is/was considered the dark horse of the series. Several parts were supposedly redone to make it easier to manage in the Trilogy version. Also the controls are set up like MP3, obviously. It's a great deal (especially if you don't already have MP3.) But if you're not really into MP2 at all, MP1 and 3 likely won't change your mind. The games aren't really Halo substitutes, it's a different type of series.

I know it's not exactly a gaming deal, but the Acer Aspire One AO532h is on sale for $199.99 this week. They're supposed to be in limited quantities but my target had at least 12 left after I bought mine this morning... of course you COULD consider it a gaming deal if you like to play farmville.

I was about to go get it, but it appears there isn't any os x support for the gma 3150 chip it uses :(

Thanks for the heads up, I just picked up the last copy there.
Only had to travel over 100 miles to get it!
