Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in gold are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Yeah I expect to see clearance on SC2 CE eventually.

It's big and it's gonna take too much shelf space and even backroom space.

Personally I would wait until $50, but unfotunately, I think a lot of people will gang up at $75.

SC2 CE probably won't drop for another month or more, don't start getting your hopes up too soon. Bioshock 2 CE just recently got clearanced out, so if that tells the tell....
Saw PES 2010 :360: for 9.98 today, other than that pretty barren.
I believe that this is still on gamestop trade 2 Halo Reach/Other M offer...

What I saw today

:ps3: Bayonetta $29.xx
:ps3: Folklore $29.xx
:ps3: Terminator Salvation $9.xx
:ps3: Ghostbusters $20.xx
:psp: Madden 10 $9.xx

Nothing really new. Last week I picked up Madden 10 for $14 and there was about 6 copies left. All gone today. They also had 4 GHWT 360 full band kits for $60.
Someone mentioned the Dualshock 3 bundles may be going clearance. Rumor or have they been spotted in the wild?
I think there were already some in the past from the Xmas ones that went on clearance.

Wait, Folklore, seriously? I bought a copy when it went on clearance about 2 1/2 years ago... Did they restock it, anybody know?

Actually, it's probably because that specific Target was just built under a year ago and may have got it in with the initial batch of games. It also wouldn't surprise me that it was a restock, because that's also the same target that I bought the last Red Faction Guerrilla for $5 at two months ago and now has 6 copies for $19.99

Hey not sure if this has been posted yet or not. I've been trying not to buy as many games this year while I try to work through my backlog so I haven't been to the forums as often.

Anyway, I stopped by Target today and saw a couple of things worth noting. First in the 360 section they had some games that were no longer there but still had the shelf tag. The tag didn't have the entire name so I don't know exact titles, but from what I remember there was:

Tony Hawk Underground
Project Gotham Racing
A Need for Speed game
Where the Wild Things Are

All $4.98 all :360:

They also had Avatar for $7.48 also :360:

Finally, not really a deal yet, but it could potentially be. They had at least 100 copies of Legend of Zelda Phantom Hourglass :ds: They are still $24.98, but I have a pretty good feeling they could go quite a bit lower because of how many they had. There were so many that they had one entire shelf filled with them, some overflow on the clearance shelf and the section inside the case with the game was stuffed as well. So, if you are looking for the game you may want to check Target to see if the price eventually drops low enough.
There were 5 copies of Ghostbusters for PS3 for $20.48 at the Clarksville, IN Target.
same thing here in palmdale, CA. there were actually quite a few different titles on clearance but all crappy prices.
So... today at Target I encountered this.

Xbox 360 Vision Cam - $19.xx
You're in the Movies w/ Xbox 360 Vision Cam - $3.xx

Amazing.
Yeah, I bought You're in the movies w/ cam for 4.xx. I saw the vision cam for 27.xx on "clearance" right next to it. Awesome.
picked up a :ps3:Bioshock 2 SE for $19.xx!
Anyone in Socal see this at the same price?
Wait, Folklore, seriously? I bought a copy when it went on clearance about 2 1/2 years ago... Did they restock it, anybody know?
I was totally thinking the same thing! I bought it for about $25 about that long ago (at Target).

Haha if I see Terminator Salvation for 5 bucks I'll bite for some easy gold trophies. Well let's see what drops tonight.

Just to speculate but hopefully when Kinect and PS Move come out they'll be more clearance, unless there are more MIRs.
If you me socal as in San Diego i saw one few weeks back for 24.xx
thanks, have a bud in SD so I might get him to check some stores out.

Well I went to Target today as I needed some school supplies I was hoping to find a Bioshock 2 Special Edition for $25 at the most, but didn't have any luck It was pretty much wiped out for the clearance games maybe because It was a Sunday but whatever all the school supplies was 30% off so i got all my supplies for cheap should be set for almost half of the school year.

Out of the 12 or so Targets I looked at, only 2 or 3 had it ringing up at $17.xx, and I only found 1 in stock.

I just hope you aren't an English major.

Picked up the special Punch-Out package that includes the Nunchuk accessory for $32.48 today at my local Target (Ellicott City, MD). It was marked 30% off, but scanned at 50% off. Pretty solid deal if you need a Nunchuk.

I found a Bioshock 2 CE at Target, but it was still ringing up $69.99. I have s friend who lives with in a mile of it, so he is going to check it out every couple days to see if it goes clearance.

Saw the usual crap at my local Target today, but they actually had copies of Bayonetta for PS3 on clearance at $29.98. I already got the game for $19 from an Amazon sale last month though.

No clearance on Bioshock 2 CE's yet but I'm nabbing a PS3 copy as soon as they drop!

I am surprised it was still $29.98, I saw it for $14.98 weeks ago at 2 different Target stores. I guess some stores are just a lot slower with marking down clearance games?

Absolutely. I've got stores in the same geographic area that are miles apart on when/what stuff goes clearance. I saw that cheap Bayonetta price in California months ago; here in Oregon I've only seen the 29.98 price.

My local store is a little slow with the mark-downs, but that sort of works in your favor since you can be late to browsing this thread and still have a chance to catch anything good. Last few months, since they've remodeled, haven't been too great.

Hmm Electronics clearance wasn't too bad today. For videogames only Naughty Bear (PS3) came out. It rang up at 49.99 so it will probably go to 34.xx. Lots of photo batteries, some Energizer battery charger, a couple 1gb flash drives...that's all worth mentioning.

Naughty Bear MSRP is $49.99 so It was ringing up full price.

For those that can find Paper Mario for $12.48 or less, it'll net you $20 in gift cards @ Best Buy. Not an excellent flip, however better than the $10 Gamestop will give you.

I picked up Personal Trainer: Cooking for just $5 and Wii Music for $12...

Pretty good deal for those like me who likes to collect Nintendo games. Plus, you can register both games to get Club Nintendo points.

Personal Trainer: Cooking is not a game, but an app with hundreds of recipies, and you control it with voice commands. Pretty good.

Wii Music... I don't think I will play the game, but it's great for kids, plus, it's full price at most stores.

Yes but TheHelix works backroom at Target, so he pulls the product and readies it for the clearance pricing cycle. So he was guesstimating that since Naughty Bear is $49.99 MSRP, it would drop to $34.98

Ok, we trust you. You don't have to post a receipt every time you get a deal. Imagine if everyone did that :)

I have noticed that the west coast is the last to clearance items. The east coast people note a clearance item and about the time it hits 75% off the west coast is starting the 30% off cycle.

I have noted that the Targets around here (Washington State) that they take 4 weeks to drop prices in the cycle. So not only does the Pacific North West drop last is drops super slow. I've seen East coast folks post drops every two weeks.
