Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in gold are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Was able to grab a BS 2 LE for 17.48 :ps3: saw a :360: one but someone grabbed it. Prototype still at 20.xx and Ninja Gaiden sigma 20.xx (i think) and grabbed Avatar :360: 7.48
Picked up the Halo Reach UNSC and Noble team shirts for $15 after tax. Only 30% off but I was afraid they'd sell out
One in so cal had the t-shirts for 6.xx.

I found a couple of games yesterday where the shelf tag stated ncf (non-carry forward I think), yet they still scanned at full price (typed the dpci numbers in the scanner). Does that tag indicate that the items are going to go on clearance soon? Based on what has been reported here, they should have already gone on clearance.
One in so cal had the t-shirts for 6.xx.
Woops, I meant I got BOTH t-shirts for $15.xx total ($6.98 each). Has anyone seen them go lower before disappearing?
Snagged Scene It: Bright Lights! Big Screen! for $9.98 well worth it for me And I got GTA: San Andreas for the PC @ $2.48. Noticed 50+ Dead Risings for $9.98, and around 5 NHL 11's for $34.98. Palisades Center in West Nyack, NY
The reviews for the latest scene it game was not that great...yea the questions were better but the interface was a step back from the previous release. :(

Picked up the last copy of Bioshock 2 Special Edition :ps3: for 17 and change. The slip cover was ripped to pieces but inside was sealed so I was happy.

Also saw a set of Bose over the ear headphones in my local Target that had been $125.xx and were now $88.xx or something close to that on clearance - if anyone is in the market for a set of Bose headphones.

Ncf stands for non conveyable flow and has nothing to do with clearance.

Cool. I last saw them at that price. Is assume it would be cheap enough for people to snag them all.

Nabbed the Bioshock 2 LE (PS3) 2 the $17.xx price point. The slip cover is beat to hell... but the box is in near perfect condition.

Also grabbed some pajama pants for $4.00! Word!

Dont bother with Bose unless they are going for 40 and msrp is 125.
and even then...
Bose = Monster
Overpriced for what they offer

for all your audiophile needs

At Oxnard, CA Target:

Borderlands (PS3) $20.98 (Several copies)
NBA 2K10 (360): 13.98

And some other overpriced "clearance" games.

Confirmed recent price drop of Super SFIV for 360: $19.99.

+1. I always tell my friends to go to that site when looking for headphones/earphones instead of just getting Bose.

I also bought the ps3 version of Bioshock 2 LE for 18 bucks. I found another game, but I already have 2 of the same version. It is so cheap that I do not know if I should buy or not...

I saw a lone box of Band Hero bundle for Wii at $45 in the Springfield, OR store. The rest of the clearance games are at 30%-50% price point. Left empty handed.

Fin-a-fuckin'-lly!!!! I scored at Target by me. I picked up the :ps3:Bioshock 2 LE for $17.48 on clearance.

They also had a :ps3:Tiger Woods 2010 for $7.48 that I was gonna pick up for something to play if I get really bored. But I hate golf as it is, so I could only imagine it'd be traded into Gamestop before the week is up.

I also saw a HUGE Casio keyboard marked 30% off($123.98 or so). I didn't get a model or DPCI# though, since I didn't have a pen/paper with me. Lotsa 'as-is repackage' stuff in the home goods section, like Kitchen-Aid mixers n shit too.

YES! Snagged a copy Bioshock 2 SE for $17.48 at the Homewood Target. Would have preferred the 360 version, but the PS3 I found will work just as well. :)

There's one PS3 copy of Bioshock 2 SE at the Austin, TX Target near 51st St. for $17.xx. The packaging wasn't in great condition. Wish it had been for 360!

Also, that location moved their clearance section over to an endcap on the right side of electronics, away from the other games.

Wow so many people settling for ripped bioshock. I passed on it, is the ripped to shreds slipcover outside box not a part of the "real" box then? Guess I'm just picky

Found and bought
:ps3:Bioshock 2 L.E. for $17.48

Saw
$34.xx :ps3:Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2
$20.98 :ps3: UFC game
$12.98 :pc: Kane & Lynch 2
$12.98 :pc: Alpha Protocol
$12.98 :pc: Splinter Cell Conviction

It looks like a there were several people who were lucky enough to find that :ps3:Bioshock 2 L.E., including me ;)

It was odd because I had never seen that lone copy anywhere in the game section. I got a look from a Target employee though when I was going to checkout, one that could easily be interpreted as, "You s.o.b."

I'll be placing it in my trade list, since I don't have a :ps3: So if anyone is interested, y'all know where to look :D

I'll keep an eye out for drops on the Bose headphones because although I wouldn't pay $125 or $88 for them, I might pay $63, and would definitely pay $32.

Picked up the last copy of Bioshock 2 SE for $17.48... Wish it was for 360 but couldnt pass it up either way. Saw a Rock Band 2 bundle just hit 30% off, would be cool if it made it all the way to 75%

Just got back from my Target... I think I did okay. ;)

:pc: Sid Meier's Pirates - $4.98
5 Archer Farms Strawberry Fruit Strips - $1.95 ($0.39 each)
12 Pack of Dr. Pepper Anniversary (Made with real sugar instead of corn syrup) - $3.00

Including CA sales tax, I spent $8.72 on that one trip. It was made even better that the cashier was really nice and actually kinda cute. :3
Wow so many people settling for ripped bioshock. I passed on it, is the ripped to shreds slipcover outside box not a part of the "real" box then? Guess I'm just picky
are you kidding? For $17.48, you get so many things inside. A ripped sleeve doesn't matter. The extras in this package are fantastic. I bought a 360 one today just for my collection.

I scored today at lunch.

Took the last Bioshock 2 LE for 360. $17.xx
Wish they had the PS3 version as I have part 1 for PS3.

I had just bought it from Amazon, too during that Gold Box deal for $18.xx or so... but I couldn't refuse all the extras and art book for the same price. I'll have to return the Amazon copy.

There were some gems in the piles of cheapo/value PC titles.

$2.48:
Disciples II Gold (80+ metascore)
Sid Meier's Pirates (88 metascore)
Sacred Gold (73 metascore)

Also:
Major Minor's Majestic March (Wii) - $7.48

Struck out on the Bio2 LE. Almost every store had one copy last week, but they kept ringing up at 48.xx and this week they're all gone. My buddy and I were going to split it up since I already had the
iconpcwin.gif
LE version from earlier in the year and he already played & traded the game(I'd get the game, he'd get the collectibles)

No new drops either. NGs2, Protype and AvP are holding firm for the 3rd week in a row:bomb:

At least the portable record player did drop this week. Picked it up for 36.98 (50% off). Now I can play the Bio LP:bouncy:. Would have waited for another drop but most stores sold out @ the 30% drop and this was the last player in stock.

Figure to give it to my parents, once I'm done messing around with it. They still have a bunch of records, somewhere.

Saw the new Power Gig game and man that's a big box. Also saw the keyboard for RB3, which seemed pretty small. Guess I didn't pay enough attention to the new instruments

I got Bioshock 2 Special Edition for $18.88 after tax. Outer box is a bit beat up and that security device left some marks on the butterfly box but still a happy camper. Usually my Target either doesn't have anything or if it does they don't reduce the price.

Damn, I was really hoping to find Bioshock 2 LE for Xbox 360 but looks like my local one only have a few items on clearance. Nice job to those who scored this for such a low price.

My target has one copy of Bioshock 2 LE (360), but it has had the absolute hell beaten into it. The outer cover is torn to shreds (only being held on by the spider security device) and I don't know how badly the outer box has been shredded. Worth $19ish? Not hardly.
Got a Bioshock 2 LE for the PS3, I wanted a 360 copy but my Target was out :(

You have a PM!

My buddy picked up 2 very good condition Bio 2 Special Editions for the 360 (wanted PS3 version but were all out). The entire 310 SoCal area code is devoid of copies for either versions so good luck. We both already own the PS3 regular version so all we care about are the goods. If anyone has PS3 version with the slip being in good condition let me know for a 1:1 Unopened Game trade. If not, I can entertain maybe selling/trading a pretty good condition slip cover as It's 360 and not PS3.

I'm still pissed I wasn't surfing around on CAG the day the TRU website had both :ps3: and :360: versions of the Bioshock 2 LE for $19.98(with like $6 shipping or so though I think:bomb:) as well as the God Of War Ultimate Edition for the same price.

Those sold out in record time(of course) and were next to impossible to find in stores at that price.

But I went to my other close Target store tonight and saw ANOTHER :ps3:Bioshock 2 LE on the clearance endcap. I thought about it for a second and I turned back around just in time to see some dude in a dress shirt and tie walking up toward the register with it.:bomb:

But all was not lost, since some El Stasho had taken to hiding the last one behind a couple clearance 26" LCD tv's. How do I know it was stashed? It still had a $49.98 or so pricetag on the front cover.:)

Either way both copies I snagged today will go nicely with the Bioshock 2 guides I grabbed from Best Buy for a penny each. My one buddy from on CAG(and PSN) is already grabbing the other Bioshock 2 LE from me for cost(and I'm keeping the first one I bought today), so it's definitely spoken for.

What!?!?!?! No lie on that GOW Ultimate? Woa that's insane, I would've been all over that. :sigh:

Yeah. I was so pissed I missed that deal. Then I hit up both TRU stores in the area with the SKU's from each LE and was told they weren't in stock.

Damn, bioshock 2 LE's are still showing up ? I haven't seen any in my area in weeks since I bought one of the banged up PC ones.

Still on the look out for the CE version of SC2...which one of you lucky bastards got a hold of for cheap in your area :(

They disappeared from my stores about one week after release

I'm holding out hope that they were moved to the back, kinda like the Halo LE boxes. And one day, they shall be brought out into the light.

Whaaat... it can happen.

Only problem is if they show up miraculously from the backroom after so long, then chances are they're out of the system by then. Good luck convincing an employee to sell them to you then.

xD I kind of feel bad now that some people can't find the bioshock LE's. Those LE's been sitting there for a whole year. Thought I was doing Target a service by picking up two of those. If there's any condolences, I am pretty sure people are selling brand new copies of the LE for dirt cheap on ebay. I know I am.

I have never had a problem with getting out of system stuff. I just ask them to look up the last known price in the PDA, and it's always worked.
