Played two games. First with HydroX. Denver 0 - Buffalo 14. He had some bad luck, threw a pick early, which led to my opening score. Then fumbled the ball on his next drive. Then, on a 4th quarter drive, I guessed his play, chose to control my DB, read his pass, and picked it clean. The first two turnovers were shit luck, but that one I actually feel proud of. I scored after that to make it 14-0. Game would have been very close otherwise.
Then, I played Pure Apathy. The game was a lag shitfest. Barry Sanders is hard enough to tackle, but when he's jumping 20 yards all over the screen, it's near impossible. I hung close in the first half, playing as player two, forcing two interceptions, and entering the locker room tied 7-7. On the first kick off after the half, the game was lagging and stuttering horribly. I didn't even see my return guy catch the ball, and instead of taking a touchback, he brings it our of the endzone and fumbles at the 7 yard line. On the next play, Apathy scores to go up 14-7. That's when I turned my 360 off. If you want to give him the 14-7 win, that's fine. But I felt like I was going to have a freaking seizure from watching my players teleport around the field.
I don't want to throw Apathy under the bus because he's a good guy, but anybody who knows him knows he's notorious for having shitty internet. Considering the game I had just finished (in which I was also player two) had no lag, it's hard for me to accept alternative possibilities. But obviously, more opinions should be gathered before any conclusions are drawn. If it was just me, I have no problems taking the 14-7 loss. Sorry Apathy. Nothing personal. But the gameplay experience was terrible.
Well let apathy post on here his thoughts. I nominate a redo or at the very least you two play another half with him up 7 at the start and play until halftime. If it's still tied after halftime, treat the 3rd quarter like sudden death. I really do not want to see lag games count in the standings.
