It's weird seeing Randy Orton in a suit (Lopez Tonight) and without his "lunatic" persona. For those that don't watch, it's "WWE Karaoke Week." Dolph Ziggler was on yesterday, tonight was R-Truth & Orton, tomorrow is Otunga, and Thursday is Miz.
Oh, and I'll go out on a limb and say that Team RAW's 7th man will be someone... AWESOME!
How is it going on a limb when they pretty much said he was on Raw? He'll "let them know on Sunday".. it's not like they'll use him in any other aspect. I fully expect him to cash in the MitB or have a hand in the outcome.

I assume the WWE will remove all instances of him from their website immediately. Expect a big clearance on his DVD.
Goodhelmet's comp on the DVDVR board is a great way to cut your teeth on Memphis. $50 for 10 discs, or you can go with the DVDs that Highspots has. I picked up a couple of those, and they're decent, although not as great a value as Goodhelmet's comp.
Thanks for the suggestion, Jay. :) I'll order it. :D

After missing the last couple of weeks due to a mix of apathy and SyFy HD coming in all wonky for me, I'm glad I caught tonight's show. While I missed Cole in WWE garb, I did get to experience all the glory that came from Josh telling Cole that he didn't need Percy's lenseless glasses and the other assorted stuff - like Striker being buried, that makes me laugh. I'll definitely re-watch it on Universal HD though for the opening. It's pretty clear though that this show really doesn't have much planning though, with these half-assed challenges themselves being repeated. Next year, I expect a WWE Universe Dunks THE HOST OF NXT, Matt Striker contest. Or one where they have to use a water gun to fill up a Doink the Clown head under the guise of it being an amazing test of their hand-eye coordination.

Screens -

Kaval's not entertained by ya blah blah blah -

Quotes -

Cole - Maybe you should get a pair of Percy’s glasses - they might help you see matches better.
Josh - I don’t need glasses without lenses in them.
Cole - Kaval has been impressing the WWE Universe - the INTERNET FOLKS!
Josh - Tonight, it’s a battle between Miz and Morrison - Frienemies.
Cole - Frienemies?
Josh - Yup!
Striker - Who should be eliminated and why?
Riley - YOU, BECAUSE I’M TIRED OF YOUR STUPID QUESTIONS! And Michael McGilllicutty.
(both Cole and Josh laugh)Josh - Alex Riley just became my favorite.
Striker - Lucky, what are you parting words to the WWE Universe!?
Lucky - MY PARTING WORDS TO THE WWE UNIVERSE - I’M NOT GONNA DO WHAT EVERYONE THINKS I’M GONNA DO AND FLIP OUT. But I am wondering if the WWE Universe has been enjoying NXT Season 2 as much as I have!? We have a poor Charlie, Eddie Murphy impersonator.
Cole - Punch him in the mouth.
Lucky - And a nine year old boy who talks like Barry White.
Striker - UNIVERSE, SAY GOODBYE TO LUCKY CANNON! (absolutely no one does anything)

Rob Van Dam is ready to take a break from TNA. What's that say when it's only been 6-7 months since he debuted and he already wants some time off? Oh yeah... AND HE'S THE fuckING TNA CHAMPION RIGHT NOW!

what needs to be said????

PWG has announced the first three competitors in this year's Battle Of Los Angeles tournament. Christopher Daniels, Brandon Gatson, and Ricochet will compete along with 13 others in a two-day tournament taking place September 4th & 5th.

Here it is:

I think that says quite a bit about what, at least at the time they planned the cover, they think of The Miz.

Hey, that weed's not going to smoke itself. RVD is the Ricky Williams of wrestling.

It blows my mind that so many athletes risk their careers just to smoke some marijuana. Dumbasses to the nth degree.

sadly, hogan pulled a fast one on the internet in less than 30 mins....and i was almost excited

now i hate the fuck out of him. die slow ho!!!!

look at his twitter page :(

Miz makes a game cover! YAY!

So Hogan has seemingly left TNA. Well, that certainly didn't take very long. TNA sure looks foolish for spending all that time building to Hogan vs. Abyss at BFG. Good luck spinning this as anything but a huge step down, TNA. They went for broke with Hogan and Bischoff, Mondays, and bringing in tons of ex-WWE names and they've gotten nothing out of any of it.

"Eric Bischoff has posted on his Twitter page that the Hulk Hogan Twitter page saying that he and Bischoff were leaving TNA is a fake."

While I'm excited that Miz made the cover, I'm more perplexed as to why Big Show is on there. I mean, it's the Big Show. He's the least 'main event' main-eventer they have.

Have you read the twitter page yet? It's a guy that works for TNA who's trying to speak out and using Hogan's name as a vehicle to get his voice heard, and it worked.. read it before it gets taken down

The fake Hogan Twitter is absolute gold. Bischoff reported the Twitter page as being legit before bothering to check the actual source.

I love Doug Stanhope's comedy bit on that (but it goes against your view  )

The Hogan twitter thing is funnier with it being fake since Bischoff confirmed it as real beforehand, and then it comes out that it isn't, so Eric's got egg on his face and some of TNA's dirty laundry is aired on the thing they care about most - TWITTER.

Hey, any SoCal CAGs looking to go to Summerslam? I won a some tix at Comic Con (two seats in section 107 and 2 tickets for Axxess on Saturday), but I can't use them because I'm headed to Vegas this weekend to play in the National Dodgeball Tournament.

If you're interested in buying them, please PM me.

I'd love to take them off of your hands, but I'm working both Sat and Sun this weekend. :(

If you can't sell them (try Matt, but he might have tickets already), try the SoCalUncensored forums (www.socaluncensored.com). Tons of local wrestling fans.

Thanks for the suggestion, JJSP. I'll give it try.

It's a guy who says he works for TNA. He's saying a lot of backstage things that have been spoken about on wrestling news mills for months on end... While the idea of it being a disgruntled TNA wrestler is romantic, it's more likely that it's just a troll.

The thread over in the DVD forum got buried, so I wanted to give everyone a heads-up that FYE has all WWE DVDs buy one, get one right now.

Aside from brand new stuff (Best of Raw), everything went up to full price, but there's still some deals to be had.

Thanks for that, but a friend and I got tickets in section 101 the day they went on sale.

I plan on watching every single RAW episode (plus Smackdown later on) from 1996 to current 2010, 1 episode per day everyday. How long will that take? 2 years?

More like two and a half. They're almost at 900 episodes.

Edit: Nevermind, you said from 1996.

Kurt Angle posted this on his Twitter.

Wow tons of TNA turmoil today at the offices. We got a mole in the back.

So, unless it is some type of stupid Russo work, this is most likely true.

Yeah. The details that are posted on the guy's new account (TNAnonymous) are more vivid in detail.

And it appears that TNA hijacked the fake Hogan twitter account, and posted a 'tweet' that made me lol.

Thanks! Was able to pick up the Best of Raw: Seasons 1 &2 and the Ricky Steamboat DVD for $22.99 + tax. Both DVD sets were on sale for $22.99.

No problem, glad it helped someone out.

I did the math last night, and most of the older stuff actually really just works out to Amazon prices. This sale is great if you're looking for the Steelbook or tin case FYE exclusive PPVs, or the stuff released within the past week or so.

Quick note... if you're looking at FYE, it may not be a terrible idea to have them pricecheck newer stuff like Steamboat, since the only 'Sale' labeled stuff at both of my stores was the brand-new Best of Raw DVD. Stuff like Steamboat and Taker were marked regular price, but may not ring up that way. On a somewhat related note, I picked up Best of Raw and ECW: Bloodsport as a seperate transaction, and it actually rung up as $19.99, the price of ECW, even though BoR was $22.99... so there may also be some kind of glitch with the Best of Raw set. Can't confirm that, though.

Going to TNA tonight in Mobile.. Hardy vs. Abyss monsters ball w/ Mick as guest ref, 3D vs. Ink Inc.. If you take can goods for the oil spill people you get a free auto RVD 8x10

How are they risking their careers? Marijuana isn't dangerous and probably helps several athletes stay away from painkillers. I just wanna know what makes these guys "Dumbasses to the nth degree".
How are they risking their careers? Marijuana isn't dangerous and probably helps several athletes stay away from painkillers. I just wanna know what makes these guys "Dumbasses to the nth degree".
You really don't know? Seriously?

It's because of the suspensions and fines the NFL and other sports organizations hand out for DRUG VIOLATIONS. Not to mention that Marijuana is an ILLEGAL DRUG. Whether it's harmful or not is irrelevant.

Plus, again, let's not forget the very incident that occurred with the person mentioned in the first place, RVD.

Did it 'end' his career? Technically, no. It certainly ensured that he was never going to be trusted within the WWE corporate structure again. RVD was hugely over, but no matter what happened, they were never going to let him run with the ball again. While it wasn't quite 'Jericho winning the Undisputed title' big, Van Dam was handed one of the bigger spots of the past decade, and literally threw it away because he got arrested.

Whether it 'ends' a career or not, it certainly has some consequences that change a career trajectory.
