Previous threads:
Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs
123-45-6789

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The website for locating clearance titles by their DPCI # is here: Find In Store

Much like the ASIN location website replace the DPCI # at the end of the URL...

(HUGE PROPS TO aj slick FOR GETTING US THIS USEFUL TOOL!!!)

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell:

No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.
Nah, although im originally from NY (Queens-Brooklyn)....plus i didn't say the whole tri-state area!! Scranton is a small wannabe city...i think ive seen 2 4th gen ludes besides mine. And theres alot of hicks around here. They dont like Hondas, they rather hook up their POS cavalier, LMAO. I love blowin their doors off :) All in good fun.
My brother bought an old beat up Prelude (same gen as yours) and did an H22 swap (I think thats the engine); his car is a sleeper in that there's nice exterior paint but the interior is crap. Its his DD. His other car is a CLK 430 with a turbo (only one in the country) and that car has won a couple of shows.

Back to the topic, most targets in northern/central NJ seem to still have NBA2K11 at full price.

Nice, ya they came with 3 different engines, the F22,H22, and the H23. Mine has the H23, the H22 is the vtec engine, only difference is like 30hp. Mine has more low-end torque than the H22, which i prefer. My interior is immaculate, but i got rust around the rear wheel wells. Im getting it fixed and repainted this year :) Now a sleeper would be my pops car...its a Benz CL55 AMG, thing is insane! It's a 2 door grandpa lookin car but its pushing 550hp and will beat a Viper SRT10. Only downfall is its very heavy. http://www.topmercedesbenzpics.info/2000-mercedes-benz-cl55-amg/
Actually last time I was there I was just checking out the games. I didn't notice anything else on clearance. Also may I suggest checking wal mart or sams club (if you know someone who has a membership) for tv's. Their Vizio TV's are fantastic for the price and if you get lucky you can land a sale. (I once saw a 32' Vizio at sams for about $300).
Thing is, my upper limit for a tv is $200-250 since I don't want some huge tv. So that Westinghouse I saw on Tuesday at the DC Target was about right for me, but I'm basically just pricing them at this point.

I got a 26 in Vizio at Walmart for 200 during their pre-Black Friday sales. I was even able to do in store pickup and sleep in so I wouldn't have to camp.

Just some input if you want a cheap but decent TV.

wha? ho...how do you NOT want a huge TV? I though for all gamers bigger the better, isn't it? the 60" in my bedroom feels too small sometimes. I like to bring games over to play on my dads 140" projector though theres some input lag on that

by the way have people noticed clearance racks being empty latlely? The last few times ive stoped by target the clearance rack had no games at all. Just some random other crap. Im wondering if it got moved

Thanks for the heads up. I'll probably wait till my 21" LCD PC monitor I'm using with the PS3 right now dies or gets too screwed up to continue using before I even think of buying a tv though.;)

I don't have the room for it and I don't wanna get a sunburn from playing the tv for HOURS. I had a 27" SDtv in my room upstairs for all of 1-2 days and even on the lowest brightness settings it was bugging my eyes out. So as of now the 21" screen I have is fine.

But if I can find a cheaply priced and decently reliable HDtv then I may grab one at some point. Although as I said before I(and my family) tend to be the kind of consumers to run something into the ground before we ever consider 'upgrading' or buying something new.

I still cannot fathom how it seems some folks are ok with the seemingly shorter product life of the newer tv's and just shrug off if the screen or whatever goes on one they just bought 2-4 years ago. To me if I'm paying over a nominal amount for something, that shit better last me at LEAST a decade before it starts acting up.

today for $9.98

DPCI #207260639

And for any DSLR owners, keep an eye out for a couple of Targus brand accessories for DSLRs at 50% off. I pickes up an Electronic Flash for Nikon cameras (they also had them for Canon cameras) and a Digital Filter set (circular polarizer & ultraviolet filter).

Picked up the flash for $24.98 and the filter set for $9.98. They were the last one of each but they did have a ton of flash units for Canon cameras at the same price.

DSLR electronic flash for Nikon at 24.98
DPCI #056040577

DSLR filter set at 9.98
Nice, ya they came with 3 different engines, the F22,H22, and the H23.
OT: Thats a nice ride for pops! I, myself, have an E46 M3 vert! Loving every warm day with it.

Oh I understand, I am just saying. Sometimes those Vizio's go for cheap at Wal Mart. You just have to hit a sale, and those Vizio's are a good brand. We have 2 in our house, one which I bought for my room.
Do you guys know if MK KE was ever available in store? I just picked one up for $50.66!
Where was this? do you have the DCPI #?

It was an "online item" so I was wondering whether it was a return. But sometimes target uses online item sticker for random stuff that was never an online return.

I can post the Dpci later but not sure it will help since its an online Dpci.

You have one at your store? If so, I'm jealous, since they had the $32.48 price for one at both local Target stores but none in stock.

1 DJ Hero 2 Wii game only left at the Willoughby, OH Target tonight for $9.98

The one Silver DS Lite at the Stow, OH Target for $65.xx was gone when I checked late tonight.

well if you dont have the room for it then i understand, but you shouldn't use brightness as an excuse. When you calibrate a tv properly it shouldnt' hurt your eyes at all. My rooms blacked out and i play with the backlight on low, it doesnt' give me eyestrain at all. If you play on the crappy presets most tvs come with for display in a showroom then hell ya it will blind you.

Im not gonna knock your CRT though if its a quality one. I still have my 32" sony Wega CRT in my bedroom and that thing rules for older gaming. I also watch cable tv on it. The 60" in the bedroom is purely for gaming and movies. I've actually had a lot of luck with my TV's. Had a Samsung DLP that lasted years until i sold it to a friend and replaced it with my current Sony DLP. Ive been considering upgrading but theres no tech out i like. I loved plasmas, but the panasonics arent nearly as good as the Pioneers used to be. LCD's tend to have too much input delay for me, and LEDs are meh. The original Sammys were pretty good but they are all just edge lit crap these days. Dont know what to buy =(

I don't really change the settings much on my tv's. If they look ok to me, then I just leave them alone as they come from the factory.

As for the tv I have now, it's just an SD Panasonic from Worst Buy from like 2002 or so. The 27" one I had though, I turned down the brightness and tweaked all sorts of other settings and it STILL was too damn bright for my liking.

Can anyone tell me if the 22" Vizio has a built-in digital tuner? I'm probably the only person left on the planet who refuses to pay for cable, but I'll pick up a Vizio for the $209 and change my Target is charging if it's got one.

Awesome and strange score at Target today. I was browsing the PSP's and I noticed that they didn't anymore of the Hannah Montana PSP's all they had were the basic systems with no clearance stickers on them, so I figured oh well. Then out of nowhere the sales girl asks if she can help me and I say no thanks, she then out of nowhere asks me if I knew that the PSP's were on clearance for $32. I said really even these ones? She says yes let me scan one for you to make sure. Sure enough it scans 32.48 so I tell her i'll take all 4 that they have in stock. You would of thought she was getting paid commission with how excited she got. So she goes and gets the other 3 out of the case, but for some reason these ring up at regular price. We both examine the boxes carefully and see absolutely nothing different about them except for the fact that for some reason the clearance one has a sticker for a upc ending with 88780 and the non clearance ones have no sticker and end in 88980, although they are all exactly the same boxes and same manufacture date range. She calls a manager over who promptly tells me that these are different and they are not on clearance. So oh well atleast I scored one for 32.48. The wife and I are thinking about driving around to other target's to try and score some more. The DPCI on the receipt was 207190073 and the complete barcode on the back of the box is 7 11719 88780 5

Still saw a couple of NBA 2k11's leftover at the Rochester, MI Target. Picked up 2 and flipping them on Amazon.

Also saw Lost Planet 2 for 13.98.

I need to be able to pick up over-the-air signals. Otherwise, I'll just stick with the massive CRT tv I've had for the last five years. $209 isn't much, but it's a lot to me right now.

Hmmmm. The DPCI is showing OOS on the stock locator for the mobile locator link, but I believe that has been wrong before. I may have to take a trek to one of my area Targets to grab one of these if it's in stock.;) Thanks for the heads up.

I thought most of the DLP tvs had crazy high input delay. Is that not true? A good LCD usually only has 20ms delay and that's unnoticeable.

Props to you on such an awesome score! Any theory on why or how the clearance one had the sticker on it with a different barcode? It's also interesting how the sales girl knew about the $32 price but only one of the 4 units actually qualified. Hopefully other CAG'ers will find the clearance systems. I did a scan of the Targets in my area and they all come up "Not Available" for the $32 PSP.
Try this. You just have to replace the DCPI with the one in the post.
oh well, checked one Target and they had no Psp period.
Nothing of note, they moved the clearance but just mostly GOTY or PH for $20. Cake Mania for $15

The psp that the guy bought isnt a regular edition, it is the lbp karate kid bundle. If the one he got was a regular edition then it was definitely mistagged.

My Target - Copaigue - had the DS Lite Toy Story case ed. for $110. This was in the 3DS case. The clearance rack had been turned into a Wii/DS shovelware showcase with a couple of iPhone and iPad covers on the bottom. Looked all over the store but that was it.

It's not the little big planet edition. I wish it was though, I don't have any games for this thing yet...

They were in the same spot where all of the clearance stuff was (2 aisles down from the game aisle)

Ok, well when i punch in the dpci that the guy had at every target I was at today it brought up the lbp bundle.
