Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Found RUSE for $6.91 with a clearance sticker that said "Repackaged." Odd price but I figured I'd give the game a shot for that price.

That would be a great find. Sometimes my target leaves stuff like that in the regular section vs. bringing it out to the endcaps so I'll have to look next time I'm in.

I got lucky with a netbook going 75% off once. Unfortunately mine seemed to be a bad one because my sound drivers disappeared for no reason, and I haven't used it much ever since I got an iMac.
 
Wow. I am truly underwhelmed. The same Target I picked up some awesome clearance deals from a year or so ago(Big Flats, NY) is now mostly devoid of anything good.:roll:

Wasted day at most stores on this trip, cept for Blockbuster.

A movie game? My hopes are not up for that one since movie games are usually pretty bad. On top of that the rating for the movie as a 6.5 out of 10, so the game has to be worse! I grabbed it for $10 but maybe I should consider returning it.

Found some knock off nerf gun pistols and gatling guns for $1.24 and $2.48, respectively. Bought a bunch for my little cousins since they were so cheap. No games out.
 
target in cerritos, ca had prince of persia for $9.99 and the rock band 3 keyboard for $59.99.
both for the :ps3: . unfortunately i wasn't able to get the DPCI; was in a rush and took a quick glance.
 
i went to a few of the targets in my area. no video games were on clearance and this has been going on for over a month or so now.....

Nothing at my local target, save for maybe two (unremarkable) games. Clearance has been extremely thin for over a month now it'd seem.
 
Found a Marvel VS. Capcom 3 Special Edition for Xbox 360 today for $34.98. I didnt even know that was on clearance. There was some other deals there too. R2 $9.98, Sly Cooper Collection $14.98 and a few others.
 
I forgot to mention when I was in NY I saw the weirdest thing on clearance: beer.

I didn't even know Target sold beer in their stores. But like half the aisle was marked at least 15% off.

Hah! yep they clearance wine all the time. But my local's beer selection hasn't changed in years. Wineries on the other hand pop up and go under weekly it seems.

Yea Target just started selling beer here not long ago. Half the soda aisle randomly became the beer aisle a few months back. Never saw it on clearance yet though. Have to keep an eye out for seasonal beers and the like.

A couple of Targets I went to Big Flats and Vestal had no gaming clearance, but had regular priced games on the shelf. I guess this is going to a be a slow couple of months for games.

Went to both my targets, one of them had vanquish for 14.98 battlefield bad company 2 on ps3 and 360 for 14.98, a buzz quiz world with controllers for 9.98 and some super street fighter 4`s for 14.98 one of those lime green nintendo ds lights with the cooking game for 127.xx. Didnt get any DCPI`s as the employees were watching me like I was a felon, felt awkward.

I have the same problem at mine. There's a few employees I've begun to recognize and will actually wait until they leave the area because they make me feel uncomfortable enough. What's worse is I usually have a giant double stroller with a 15m old and a 5m old in it so I'm kind of hard to forget.

I've made a fuss a couple times about not being able to find items that were showing up as in stock...but the employees I hate weren't even there that day. I know they hoard stuff for themselves at this store though so they probably just eye anybody who's shopping clearance at all there.

Back when the DSI XL came out, I was picking one up for my niece. This was in Best Buy (yes I know this is a target thread, just live with it). Anyway, the girl helping me had to have one of the other blue shirts get it out from one of the cages. As she handed it to me she said, "Just don't steal it ok because I'll get in a lot of trouble."

I'm a professionally employed, clean cut guy but the girl was clueless enough to say that to a customer. My point is that I think some CSR's are just not smart enough to realize that they are doing the store more harm than good by 'monitoring' certain customers.

I used to feel weird when all of the employees would watch me when I would scan stuff at TRU, Sears and Target. Now, I've pretty much gotten over it. After all, I'm not doing anything wrong.

Well when video games go on sale in my targets, they sit there forever and it seems all the employees at one of the targets are over the age of 45 I couldn`t see them wanting anything on the cap since there were those games and a mess load of iPhone cases. On another note when I was looking at the DS light this guy comes over and invades my personal bubble to where I have to take a step back and he stands in front of me blocking my view then starts tearing through all the stuff so I casually grabbed a Buzz quiz world from the side of the cap, which I bought and acted like I was reading it and he jolts over in front of me again and started tearing through more stuff like it was his territory or something.
 
And the DCPI for the Buzz is 207-24-0322. I bought it since my dog chewed my old usb dongle that comes with it to hell and I figured 4 extra controllers, the usb and I can trade in the game itself to best buy for 6 bucks, not a bad deal.

I would give them the fuck off look and continue doing what CAGs do look for deals. They most likely are hoping people don't buy everything. My Targets have been dry lately but I would be more worried about the looks SOCCER MOMS will give you. This one looked at me like I was taking food out of her kids mouths. I wouldn't worry about what people think when your in Target.

Remember it's only TARGET we are talking about!

I picked up The Sly Collection but anybody recommend me Split Second and BFBC2 at that price?

Oh yea, the worst looks I've gotten have definitely been from soccer Mom's and Grandmothers. Dipwads, I have TWO KIDS with me...can you not see I deserve to be shopping clearance much more than you do, in your expensive clothes and tons of jewelry.
