This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy. If you try be sure to bring a smile and a lollipop.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

I picked one up a couple of weeks ago for 29.99 with headset. It was outside the glass case on the clearance shelves. Scanned and rung up as 29.99. Didn't check out at the electronics section.

Today saw Bourne for $29.99

Same thing happened to me with warhawk. I knew it was going to ring up at 49.99 but the price under it was 29.99 so they just adjusted it.

I scanned the Lost Odyessy UPC this afternoon...it's still $41.98! WTF! I have no idea what's going on. This Target is usually pretty decent on keeping up with the clearance prices nationwide.

If you like JRPG's it's the one of the best ones in the last 2 years right up there with Tales of Vesperia. It's Mistwalker's good JRPG for 360, the map system and enviroments will feel a little like FFX, great story, and a little bit of Shadow Hearts thrown into the battle system.

I must have missed the Buzz Mega Quiz's. I did notice that they had DMC4 and Burnout Paradise out on the clearance shelves but they rang up as $29.99. I'm guessing they were just doing this to clear up some space.

I did see two Scene It's behind the glass but I had it scanned and it rang up as $41.xx.

Walked into target and on my way to the clearance section I found $5 lying on the floor LOL, and picked up the last copy they had of Lost Odyssey for $14.98.. for a total of $9.98 (considering I got $5 free). You can use them to enter them on the newer-type scanners (with the keypad), making it possible to check the prices of the games locked up. Also, for games you can't find you can see if the scanner shows any stock on the salesfloor or the backroom (which, while not common,is worth checking into)

Some previous posts were comparing the prices of the Warhawk bundle (game + headset). I grabbed two @ $29.99 and saw it priced at that price at two different stores, so it must be YMMV.

On a side note the headset that came with the bundle is pretty decent. I've been using it with my Blackberry and considering the price and quality I recommend it (I think the headset alone is normally about $20).

It does help but it isn't 100% accurate. When it says 241-xx-xxx then that is an online DPCI and it is useless for the search and for use at the stores.

Yeah, typically when stuff goes clearance, I've been noticing, that they switch the product from not being available in store. Then they replace the legit DPCI with that whack 241 DPCI.

Can any mobile users of CAG tell me if the color change shows up for the DPCI numbers? It doesn't on my PDA, so I'm not sure if my unit just doesn't posess the worldly pallete of a PC, or if I should change the color if no mobile user can see the color.

When I got home I opened it and noticed the sticker seal was knifed, and only disc 4 was included (wtf?? if the person scammed the store why did he leave disc 4?). Might've been possible an employee reshrinkwrapped it but still doesn't make much sense to me. Thankfully I got my money back from Target, as they understood my dilemma.

I'm going to double check if my games are factory wrapped before I buy them from now on, won't fall for the same trick twice. I didn't think I'd find something reshrinkwrapped at a target though..

Well after I read this post I opened my copy and all of my discs are included. The weird thing is that my 4th disc is in a separate sleeve...?

Yeah, that's normal, all the US copies should have the 4th disc in a paper sleeve. Someone most likely tried to return a copy with only one disc and got their money back, or exchanged it for another copy while keeping the other 3 discs. I dunno, either way it was dumb of target to put it back on the shelf, and they possibly may have been the ones to have done the shrinkwrapping. I don't really care anymore, but it's the first time I've ever seen something being sold reshrinkwrapped at a target.

I'm gonna check and see if any other target's in my area have the game clearanced..

I read this and looked back at my copy I just bought. I didn't even check this, but it also looked like it was reshrinked as well.

Popped it open and everything was there, thank god. I would've been full hot if I found out something was missing. The drive from Valpo to Highland would not have been fun.

They'll give you your $30 back if it's unopened and you have your receipt if that's what you mean? All Target clearances are YMMV so they probably won't sell it to you for $15 because you say so.

Where are you looking? Some Targets have tons of games on end caps and in other aisles like in the DVD's and stuff. Bully is most likely sold out but no harm in looking.
