This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy. If you try be sure to bring a smile and a lollipop.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

Found a copy of Lost Odyssey for $14. Though a CAG on the area warned me that he had bought the Club and it had one of those CD disc s that you burn the game onto off of a computer.

Nearly every Logitech wireless mouse is on clearance at 30-50% off. The Apple TV has also been redtagged, at 15% off. Also saw an as-is copy of Transformers (HD-DVD) for $6.98.

I've only gotten the difference back on a giftcard. $15 is 75% so that is probably as low as it will go, 90% off has happened but isn't a rule.

I had a bunch of DPCIs on my iphone. When I went to add UT3, I pushed the backspace button a bit too long and it erased half of my list. #-o

Thanks for the update-- I put those two unconfirmed #s as unconfirmed. ALthough, Frontlines is already the incorrect number-- the class number should be 22. Also, the DBZ number differs from what others have reported.
A shame about your master list getting erased! I tried using the tracker, but nearly every DPCI came back with the 241 numbers. Ah well, moving forward we'll be able to grab them. I was able to get the one for the MLB game for PS3 off the site. I think there's a bit of time before they replace the legit DPCIs, so if I stay on it we'll have all the important numbers.

The DPCI for DBZ is for Budokai 3 :ps2:, not for Burst Limit (which was already posted).

DPCI for Frontlines will most likely be 207 22 0222 (I just remember a whole bunch of 2s). :whistle2:k
 
Poop. Both copies of Lost Odyssey seem to be reshrink wrapped at the Target I went to. I didn't notice any cuts on the security sticker though.

I thought this too but every copy of LO I've every seen appears to be sealed this way. It's not the usual nice, neat seal right? More like a manually heat sealed-type wrap? If so, then I believe that is normal for LO.

I second this. I've seen around seven copies or so sealed like this between two Targets and behind the glass, so I don't think it's just damaged goods.

Same. Doesnt LO come with multiple discs crammed into a normal sized dvd case? I know that ever copy ive handled feels like its overstuffed...that's probably why there is the heavier duty shrinkwrap on it instead of the normal factory one.

Well LO is a 4 disc game so thats why it feels overstuffed.. as far as the shrinkwrap when I got it new at Bestbuy a few months ago it had that ugly shrinkwrap like you all are talking about so I think that was universal..I know Blue Dragon is 4 disc as well and I think that was another one with the crappy shrinkwrap... ah well it doesn't really matter if your opening it anyways.

The Naperville area is hard to find games.

I only saw Bully twice (one copy each time). Once I didn't pick it up (Batavia store) and the next week it was gone. The next time I found it (I don't remember what store) I picked it up for myself for $20. This was a month ago and I haven't seen it since.
 
Well, I went in today to check on GRID. Still $29.98 at my Target :(
There were a couple employees in the game section doing price checks/markdowns/rearranging. I'll check back in tomorrow and then again on Monday to see if they've dropped the price yet.

I did pick up The Club for $12.48, though. :)

It definitely looks universal. Mine was the same way. I was worried someone returned it. At first glance when I opened it, it looked like it was missing a disc. There are actually 3 discs on the peg, and the 4th disc is in a paper sleeve.
 
Sweet got a copy of Lost Odyssey :360: for $14.99 which is the main game I wanted to pickup.

Picked up Final Fantasy XII :ps2: for $9.99 for my brother.

Was hoping to find a copy or 2 of Grid :360: which this store had 2 weeks ago, but alas they were gone.

The store was the Pasadena TX store on Fairmont & Beltway 8. They have no copies of Lost Odyssey, Grid, or FF12 if you plan to stop there. Several of DBZ (4 copies) & NBA 08 (6 copies) for 360 though if you're looking for those. Ohh and they keep the majority of it all behind the glass except for a small handful of games in the DVD section on an end cap near the new releases.

Will try to stop at another store later today and look for Grid.
 
what is a dpci number and what are they used for? are these coupon codes?

edit: okay ive googled it and apparently these are ref num for their inventory system. can i use these online to see if a particular store has something i want?
 
For you NoVA folks...

Just saw 2 copies of COD4 PC for $8.76 at the Alexandria store on Jefferson Davis Hwy (near Crystal City). They were near the DVDs, not electronics, and tagged as-is with the sticker covering the barcode.

Also saw three copies of Lost Odyssey in the case for $14.98. (Not sure if this is a big deal since I'm not a 360 guy.)

Wow The Show is on clearance? It's lasted quite a long time. MLB 2K8 is already long gone for $20 (which is still too much) in most places.

It's up to you but if there's only 1 copy, you might want to grab that one. Or if your local Gamestop has a used one, you can use the coupon (that expires Thursday) with the Edge card to get it used for $35.
 
Just a heads up - My friend and I spotted some Blu-Ray titles on the clearance endcap at the Dallas Target off of Southwestern. There were two copies of both Edward Scissorhands and Die Hard 2 on Blu-ray with an "As-Is" sticker on the back, and all were priced for $6-7 each. Needless to say, we jumped on that :) Checked the shelves for more copies but there were none. They also had one copy of The Santa Clause 3 on BRD, same scenario, but we passed on it.

If you happen to spot any of these titles, check the back for an "As-Is" sticker, you might get lucky. Also, if anyone else notices any other "As-Is" stickered BRD titles, please reply so other CAGs can keep an eye out for them!

My Target just marked it down on monday.
They are so damn slow because my store is so low traffic.
 
My store (University Area - Charlotte, NC) hasn't updated their clearance as of yet. They had MX vs. ATV, Bourne, Scene It, Spiderwick, Frontlines, MLB 2k8, Singstar, and GTA: SE.

I was wondering if I scanned the items whether the new price would show up or not, but I was kinda in a rush. They do have some good potential deals, the prices just need to drop!

Can I have some tips as to how I can get it for cheap with it coming up out of system?

A couple weeks back my target had MLB08 as "Reduced Price" $39.99 so I traded mine into BBV thinking it was a universal price drop...now it is on clearance for $41.98...

Target in Bolingbrook, IL had about 30 copies of scene it for $15. There's only 1 behind the case, but there's a bazillion at the end caps.

Yeah. It's Prince Caspian one. It still had the $20.98 tag and 5 copies of them in the case.

They also had a copy of Dark Sector PS3 with the $27.98 tag on it. Typing its DPCI # on the price checker yielded OOS. So I'm not sure what the deal was.

Scored Bully for 360, for $7.48 today! This made me really glad that I didn't pick up the Wii version I saw like two weeks ago for $12.48. I hadn't seen Bully for 360 at any Target for a while, so I am really glad/surprised I found this. Only got a chance to go to the Target that still had GTA and Burst Limit for 30% off, so I still need to check my other local one to see if those dropped to $22.xx and $15.
 
New to this thread. I went to four Targets in the Phoenix area and none had any of these clearanced items at those prices. I wish their clearance was more like CC in which it's company wide and not by individual store. I'm not sure I'll bother with this.

They all drop eventually as long as that Target has them in stock. Keeping an eye on it does pay in the end. I have got some great games for cheap.
 
I did a search for the DPCI and located UT3, but not beijing olympics. I got to buy UT3, but it wasn't there. They did have beijing. Are other people finding the DPCI search to be fairly accurate?
