This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy. If you try be sure to bring a smile and a lollipop.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

Scored an xBox 20GB HDD for just $12.54!!! (+tax) the other day.

Wish I could have found one of these (at Sears) back when I bought my xBox a few months ago.

Probably gonna give this to my lil bro now so he can just buy the $199 Arcade console, and enjoy some DLC.

Which ones? I've been to 3 in two days in Phoenix. I picked up Spiderwick Chronicles for the 360 for $12.48 tonight at the Tatum BLVD Target Greatlands. Saw but didn't buy the GTA IV collectors edition for $69, Paradise Valley Pkwy had the GTA IV collectors edition for $44. I 'm pretty sure both stores had The Club for $12.98, but Skate and Grid were both $30.

I come to Phoenix a lot on business and the do seem slow dropping their prices compared to the stores around Boston.

Yea my GTA bundle was still marked at 62.xx and thanks to the kinda people for getting the DCIP numbers for me I found out it was 44.xx had to jump on it only 3 were left and I figured its cheaper then the used ones at Gamestop just for the game let alone the special edition it was good deal for me. Just waiting for LO and Grid to go down hopefully this week

I went in to Target a few weeks ago and the two 50% off copies of Eye of Judgement I had been keeping an eye on had disappeared.

Today I figured I'd ask just for the hell of it. Turns out they just moved them down into some random area where nobody would think to look along with a few other games. And it was finally marked down to $17!

Makes me wonder if I missed stuff like Heavenly Sword because they moved it down there where I usually never look.

Absolutely. The idea is to scan the UPC to check the price without the hassle of getting someone to open the case. You're scanning the exact same UPC they'll be scanning if you bought it, so there's no question about honoring it. So you might feel weird the first time, but it just saves everyone involved time/effort.

Nice. Lost Odyssey is still $29.98 and 41.98 at the Targets near me. Once it gets down to $14.98 or lower, I'll buy it.

You're doing it wrong.

Look at the price sticker or shelf tag for the 9 digit number. Memorize it, or punch it into your mobile, or whatever you can do to remember it then walk over to the price checker and punch those numbers in on the number pad.

Boom, you have your price, and you don't need to bother the red shirts unless the game is at the price you want.

Not every Target has those. Some are just plain scanners.

About half my local Target stores have the old style scanners without the numbers and at the others with the numbers, 1 store in particular, two scanners has the number part completely broken, another has one that has only half the numbers functional. I wish they would fix them

There's these BOMB new scanners I've only seen at one Target. The screen is HUGE and there's an onscreen keyboard where you can type the name of the item or where you can still use DPCI numbers. Also, I believe you can check other stores' stock of the item you picked. It seems to be tied in a lot with Target.com.
I'd love it if they'd bring these. Solves the problem of broken number keys, and the scanners seem to scan a bit better too.

It's been 29.99 forever and I bet they're just lazy and haven't stickered it yet. I'm pretty sure that my Target still has the old school scanners, so I can't check those fancy numbers. Best if you just type in the DCPI's on the self-scanners.

I think Not Available means the item has completely sold out and will not be restocked (discontinued). However I think Out of Stock means current stock has been depleted, but the item should be restocked soon.
