Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

ElHoardo1.jpg

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

January 22
The DCPI for the DSi with 5 preinstalled games is 207-01-0074 and it is 118.98 at the Virginia Beach, VA (First Colonial location).

Didnt see this posted yet

:360:
Resident evil 5 27.xx
Prototype 41.xx
Tekken 6 27.xx (I think...)

:ps3:
Planet 51 24.98

All copies of :ps3: dead space must've dropped, since there were like 5 copies holding steady in Montgomery Al at 14.xx last week.
What do you guys do with the DCPI? Can't find the DSi in Boston. Hope I find one, the price is right.
Some targets got price scanners with keypads so you can enter in the dcpi for the price check. Price scanners don't just tell you price, but whether they are in stock on the floor or in "the back."
What do you guys do with the DCPI? Can't find the DSi in Boston. Hope I find one, the price is right.
If your local Target has the newer scanners with a color screen and number buttons on the side, you can enter the number in the scanner to see what the price is without asking for a price check.

Houston Tx Target on Westheimer and "fondren" area had a crap ton of the ds guitar hero bundle for 20.48 and if you feel like digging through the 2nd level of the clearance section where the games are, 3rd or 4th row over someone took the two GOW 2 and stuck them in the back at 20.48ea.
I just verified the DSI holiday bundle clearanced at $118.xx

It's the Brain Age DSI bundle. Not the one I wanted, but still, not a bad price for it. Unfortunately it looks like it's already dropping further on amazon. The cheapest one was $175, just now someone has one listed for $150. Of course, the cheapest Mario one is $212.xx

Here are the DPCI's for both bundles, BTW. Only the Mario bundle is listed online, and the store inventory checker is all whack as we've previously discussed - the 4 stores near me that have it listed as "limited availability" and "available" don't have any. Good luck, all.

DSi Bundle with Brain Age $118.xx DPCI = 207-01-0074
DSi Bundle with Mario $118.xx DPCI = 207-01-0075
Does anyone know what's the BEST way to get rid of my old (big) DS and upgrade to these DSis?
What do you guys do with the DCPI? Can't find the DSi in Boston. Hope I find one, the price is right.
They're in stock in Watertown but they're not clearanced out yet. The Watertown scanners are the old fashioned ones you have to print out a bar code for. Also the employees there are all dicks.

Not game related, but I saw he sports tables (which some of you college/apartment kids might like) clearanced to 75% off... The 15-in-1 tables, the ping pong (Beer pong) tables, the basketball game, etc... Great prices at 75% off.

Not sure if its the best, but GS still has a $20 bonus on traded-in systems.

YMMV: The hungry kids at my local EB also give a bonus $2 if you bring potatoes.

The Target in the Palisades Mall in West Nyack is filled with DS and Wii clearance. I had no interest in the games, so I don't know if it is just shovelware or actual quality games. The only 360 game I saw was Fuel for $15.

You'll get the most money on ebay. Sell it to Gamestop and you are throwing money away.
Not sure if its the best, but GS still has a $20 bonus on traded-in systems.
The bonus is only on a DSi. I sold my original DS on eBay when the DS lite came out. Don't know how much you'd get now, but I imagine it would be more than GS especially if it's in good condition.

The Target I stopped by today had

:360:
Lego Rock Band - $24.99
MW2 Hardened Edition - $55.99 (about 2 dozen copies left)
SW: The Force Unleashed - $13.99
Guitar Hero: Smash Hits - $27.99
Resident Evil 5 - $27.99
Fight Night Round 4 - $19.99

:ds:
One endcap was completely full of DS games, didn't look through them though.

:ps2:
Shaun White Snowboarding - $13.99
Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader $5.99

:ps3:
Lego Indiana Jones - $13.99

:psp:
Rock Band Unplugged - $14.99
Marvel Super Hero Squad - $14.99

In my travels today I hit 5 targets. I picked up Fuel Xbox360 $14.98, Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 $13.98, Tenchu Shadow Assassins wii $4.98, Warioland Shake it! Wii $12.48, Transformers ROTF Ps3 $20.98 (may return it more than I wanted to pay but in CT I am not seeing at many Targets on Clearance). And to Top off my Day I found a couple of Shonen Jump Naruto Clash of Ninja Revolution 2 mark for $5.06 as an online return.

Do you remember the price? Also where was it located? like in the sports section or video section?

I mainly want it for the beer pong :D.

Tons of Wii, DS, and 360 stuff at Target, not sure how much is clearanced though since there were tons of Left 4 Dead GOTY and Gears 2's without red tags.

Saw a MW2 Hardened for 360 that had been stolen right in the middle of the aisle and left that I brought over to customer service. No effort to even hide it, just thrown on the shelf where they keep the Band Hero Wii bundles. I expect everything will be moved to the glass cases by next week now.

Man, are any VA/MD cags having luck with Demon's Souls? As far as Maryland goes, I checked Columbia, Ellicott City and fucking Glen Burnie. That place is such a slopping garbage heap, ugggghhh!

Anyway, I'm done slumming it for today. All of the employees I talked to said that they'd never even stocked the game to begin with.

If anyone wants to pity this old man, I would be most appreciative if someone could pick up a copy for me and let me know how much they'd like shipped. I know this is asking a lot, but, man, that's a hell of a deal!
just picked up dead space for 7.48......all of sudden my target got like 10 copies of dead space...
Prepare for pants-crapping.

My second closest Target has a whole slew of hardened MW2s. I'm tempted to sell my vanilla PS3 version while is still has pretty good value and making the switch. I'm only like 8 hours into multiplayer and I wouldn't mind doing the campaign again. Hmmmm.... Maybe I'll give them a call (I know, I know, it's against the rules) on Monday to see if it dropped again.

EDIT for jebnaut - I'm in SW Virginia and I've never seen any copies of Demon's Souls at Target, let alone any on clearance.

SW Virginia! Good lord, man, get out of there!

We NOVAlites consider ourselves a separate state. :(
anyone know where i can get the 250 GB PS3 UPC????, ive already tried all the options posted in the OP
Try the DCPI. DCPI is 207230011 which you can enter into the price scanners (if you have the new scanners)

My Target in Durham, NC was jam packed with Wii, DS, and PS2 titles. I didn't register any of them mentally since I didn't see anything I wanted, but they did have a Band Hero bundle for 360 for 139.96

:ps2: Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier hit the clearance section. I think it's $28.98 (it's cheaper on Amazon), but it's something to look out for. (My price is $19.99)

I lived in Herndon for eight years, you couldn't pay me enough to move back up there and sit in traffic all the fucking time.

You are right though, my fiancee is from Sterling and she hates it down here. I like to tease her by pointing out that the "main" army of the confederacy was Robert E. Lee's "Army of Northern Virginia". Pisses her off every time.

Jak and Daxter was 20.98 at my store... still too much IMO... random item I saw today... Battalion Wars 2 (Wii) marked at 12.48, regularly 49.99... wonder what warehouse corner they dug that up from.

Yeah, probably. :whistle2:/

Though hey, at least we have a lot of traffic and yuppies and sub developments filled with jerks who work in DC! It's great!

But, seriously, dudes: Looking for Demon's Souls at that hot, hot price. Am willing to write you a thank-you letter spanning ten-to-twelve pages.

Seriously!!

I'm driving home to NOVA tomorrow to sip lattes and complain about my 9-to-5 and discuss government contracts with my bros at the LOCAL APPLEBEES (it's a NOVA thing, dudes, you wouldn't understand), but, I'll stop by the Targets in Gainesville and Manassas and report back, or something.

If I don't end up finding anything (read: Demon's Souls ()), I am coming back here to weep and beg for clemency (and Demon's Souls).

My Target had them too, but they had several copies instead of one... or do we go to the same Target?
These are joke posts, right? Please tell me that they are...
yes guys come on i know corporate would do nothing about it at all. just makes me mad that the stores around me dont have it.

Saw Resident Evil 5 27.xx for 360 at work today as well as GH Smash Hits forgot the price on that one though (not interested in GH games)

Was just about to post the Demon's Souls crazy find (also $41.98), but someone beat me to it. :applause:

I'm in Texas, and we have NOTHING on clearance right now. Games are dry, dry, dry. But I had to drive up to Austin, and just happened to hit a Target in the middle of nowhere along the way. Demon's Souls, Spirit Tracks, Playmobil Pirates, and all sorts of other good or interesting titles on clearance. I didn't even know Target carried Demon's Souls! I've never seen it at any other store around here. And then I find it on clearance?! Crazy cool. I haven't seen the Playmobil game anywhere else, and all the local Spirit Tracks games are full price....

saw Call of Juarez Bound in blood for the ps3 for 9.98. cheap as shit i know but i have so many games backlogged that i passed for now. unless anybody wants to trade for it?

Hopefully it wasn't someone here who's just a lurker, but I found 5 things that someone hid last night from the clearance shelf at my one local Target.

I found one of the HP netbooks, 3 of the external HDD's(500gb ones) and a pair of men's underwear all stashed in the same aisle as the hard drives and other PC stuff.

fuckin' people hiding shit when the rest of us all patiently wait till this stuff drops and then get pissed when we go there to find that everything sold out.:bomb:

Quick question though for those who may have it already: Is the HDD that's in the external 500gb things a laptop sized one or not? If so, what rpm is it? I ask because for $63 and change I may just splurge and pick one up to use in my PS3.

What really makes me laugh though, is how half of the PS3 case is marked with silver stickers(mostly games others reported finding here on clearance already), yet not a single copy of ANY of them to be found on the usual clearance shelf.

WTF!?!?! Either there's alot of dumb customers who bought them at a paltry 10-15% off and thus they sold out, or the employees have them stashed in the back.

Or they're hidden throughout the store, like that stash you already found.

Apologies, I may have missed this earlier in the thread, but are the netbooks on clearance??? If so how much?
