Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in gold are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

ElHoardo1.jpg

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

I stopped by 3 Targets after work today.

I picked up the following (these were the last copies for the :ps3: games) :D

:ps3: MSG4 (non GH) $7.xx
:ps3: MUA2 $9.xx
:ps3: Prototype $9.xx
:360: Tetris Evolution $9.xx

I saw the following shelf tags, but no games

:ps3: SF4 $7.xx
:ps3: Lego Rock Band $9.xx
:ps3: NGS2 $14.xx
:ps3: MLB09 The Show $9.xx
:ps3: Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood $9.xx

I saw the following, but didn't pick em up.

:ps2: Band Hero $9.xx
:360: Beatles Rock Band $19.xx
:psp: FFI $10.xx
:ps2: GH5 bundle $19.xx

I'm still searching for a cheap :360: Fable II and :ps3: Band Hero Bundle, which is still hovering at the $125.xx mark around my area.

All of my local Targets have all of these games in stock, but NONE of them are on clearance.
(I've actually had the clerks scan em for me so I'm sure)

I saw Band Hero for that price at one store over the weekend, but my local store still has it for full price.
*sigh*
The Acer Monitor that I was watching for a couple of weeks finally hit $40. Very Happy.

Last one of course.
You bastard!! ;) I can't even find it at 30% off. Actually, I think some of my local stores are starting to restock a different Acer 21.5" model with a different UPC, back at the old $159.99 price.
Have the ps2 games hit 75% off in the Vancouver/Portland area yet?
Actually, yes. Was at the Tanasbourne one today (Hillsboro) and while it wasn't great -

:ps2: GH Smash Hits 7.48
:ps2: GH Van Halen (I think) 9.98
:ps2: GoW1 4.98

Also saw
:psp: Smackdown v Raw 2010 9.98 - that was surprising
:360: Beatles Rock Band 9.98 - I almost think I read this wrong
:ps3: Band Hero 44.98

Tempted to sell my soul for music games at these prices, since my understanding is PS3 guitars work on PS2, which leaves me with Smash Hits, Van Halen, Beatles and Band Hero for under $75 :bouncy:

Picked up
Psyclone PS3 Starter Kit for $10.xx

I needed a PS remote and it also included an HDMI cable so why not. Also had a fan and controller charger stand. Not too bad for $10.

I found those :ps3: games at a Target that I just checked on Sunday. I was sure those weren't the prices yesterday. With patience and some luck, these clearance games might be found at your local Target.

At least, you don't have a local El Hoardo aka Craigslist flipper. I know I missed some Target clearance games when I see ads for Brand new so and so game on CL :wall:

Picked up GTA: Vice City stories for $4.98 at the West Madison, WI Target.

They had a few other PS2 and PSP games, but nothing worth detailing. Mostly titles that have been mentioned here before.

How long is the cable? 6'? Is the controller charger any good? I saw the same, but I just got the feeling it was crap. It doesn't help that the price on the one I saw was $20.xx and not the $10.xx you saw.

I did manage to find a GE 25' HDMI cable for $17.xx (marked down from 59.xx) and an Altec Lansing M302 iPod Dock for $19.xx. Since they were the only ones left, I got 'em. Not strictly gaming, but not being entirely sold on a dock, I thought it was nice to use to charge my ipod (which is a gaming device). And a long, long HDMI cable is nice for those times you run your HDTV as a secondary display for your computer...

Other than that, I saw a bunch of PS2 games, a bunch of ipod cases (though no ipod touch cases), no external hard drives, and several Rock Band/Guitar Hero games. Oh and a few PS2 Guitar Hero/Rock Band box bundle things. Gameswise, it was a bust for me today.

Not really a game find, but I came across a few Philips 2-way HDMI switches for $12.xx. I've been on the lookout for a cheap one for one of my bedroom TV's and finally found one that wasn't grossly overpriced.
Was it an Austin or Houston location? I remember Vyse saying to give him a heads up if anyone found some around that price here in Houston.
Austin. Gf sent me a txt asking if I thought that was a good price and my niece is having a b-day comming up and I know she wanted it at some point so I had her snag 2 of em. Believe she said there were 2 or 3 left.

I've got a Phillips 3-way HDMI switch that I found on clearance at Target last year. Works like a charm. I'd recommend one to anyone who has an older HDTV with only one HDMI input.

Did any Houston Targets have Fable II PH lower than 20.98?
Did any Houston Targets have Fable II PH lower than 20.98?
Unfortunately, no  The Targets I go to in the Southeast/west area (~4) still have them at $29.xx. I always scan them and I am always disappointed to see that price.

I'm going to check the prices tonight again for GTA IV: ELC and Fable II PH. If you find any of those at clearance prices in Houston, please give me a heads up

You'd be surprised at how people just panic and do nothing in extraordinary situations. Very few people logically react to stuff like this.

Reminds me of a time when I was in the city and someone got hit by a car. I immediately ran over, called 911 and kept a few people from moving the person. The amount of people that just stood there in a frozen panic was ridiculous.

Target at Brier Creek RTP NC has updated to the new chained plastic cases. Not a bad thing in my mind as I like to see the item description. The clearance endcap was still in effect. No real games but Wii Speak was knocked down to $7.48 like elsewhere. There was a Mad Catz wired microphone with internal X360 controller for the same price. If I knew for certain that it would work as a standard USB controller usable for the Wii, I'd probably get it. However I'd guess the internal X360 controller aspect would interfere. There was also a lot of Psyclone PSP accessories around 75% off. I'd have gotten the PSP "case/earphones/charger/glare shield/screen protectors" bundle for $4.98 if I didn't already have it all from a different manufacturer.

good luck getting anything from that target. i have witnessed first hand 3 different hoarders completely clearing out the clearance section. unfortunately i'm too cheap/stupid to quit trying because i work very nearby but i haven't gotten anything good on clearance from there in quite a while.

Yeah no kidding.

I was once on I-75 about a quarter mile away from an SUV that over turned right in front of everyone.

A few people stopped, including me.

HOWEVER, the other people just stopped to look as if this was reality TV or something.

Someone was saying they smelled gasoline blah blah blah.

In any case I was the one to call the Hwy Patrol and stayed with the person (calming them down) until authorities/fire dept. got there. Had there been any real danger of explosion, I would've been the only one getting that driver out of the car because everyone else was just staring into space.

Hey Shadow, the cable that came with that kit is a 6ft hdmi. Haven't tried it but I'm sure it's fine. I personally use the $1-2 cables from amazon without any issues. It either works or it doesn't with these cables.

Part of me thinks i'd go all ninja badass on her but in reality, I probably wouldve just chucked a clearance indiana jones lego set at her and ran.

Crazy people scare me. They don't fight by the rules and god knows what diseases this woman has in her bloodstream. And this woman is absolutely batshit crazy.

Finally scored a Band Hero PS3 Bundle! :D
Also found a PSP 2000 screen guard/bumper guard for $4.08. :)

Just gotta keep checking my local Targets until they clearance out the stacks of Prototype, LEGO Rock Band, Beatles Rock Band, and Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 they have for PS3 collecting dust in the plastic prison.

Mostly PSP games on sale around me

:psp:
Lego Indiana Jones was 9.xx, but gone now
Final Fantasy 7.xx
GTA: Vice city stories 4.xx
WALL-E 4.xx

:360:
Beatles Rock Band (game only) 19.xx

Assorted :ps2: games around 9.xx-14.xx

Someone got the :ps3: HDMI Cables but they had the 6 ft usb cables for 5.xx.

Got Final fantasy and Vice sity stories, so I may play my psp again....maybe.

Oh and tons of gum! Stride, orbit and eclipse all kinds of flavors from 0.48 to 0.69 cents. Mango Melon tic tacs for the same price too!

I got a band hero for 44.98 for :ps3:. They had a bunch of beatles rock band for the :360:. My store still has an end cap even with the new set up.

I think it may have to do with the shock of something being so unexpected and out of place. I have assisted injured people in accidents, etc...but in this circumstance, I think it probably happened so fast that nobody would have known what to do other than the off-duty sheriff's deputy who responded quickly and prevented her from doing more damage. It's also a fairly small store with fairly tight rows and it's hard to see what's going on just a few aisles down, so who knows what would have happened if someone other than the sheriff had tried to stop her. It could have actually been worse.

:psp: GTA: VC $4.98
:psp: Iron Man $4.98
:ps3: Band Hero $44.98

Picked up Band Hero because I understand that the drums have MIDI out. Until I find out for sure, I'm sitting on this box! :D

Burbank, IL had Dissidia Final Fantasy for $20.98 on clearance. About 7 or 8 there. Not that big of a deal but cheaper than anywhere else.

For those of you who have been trying to track down one of those Acer 21.5" monitors, I can confirm there are now two different models in play. The old one, now on clearance, is 080-00-0167. The new one, showing up in stores now, is 080-00-1049. That one is at the same $159.99 price point, but this one does NOT include an HDMI input, so it's actually a downgrade from the clearance model.

Also, it looks like Los Hoardos pretty much cleaned out one of my local stores that was a virtual goldmine last week (not so much for games, but for other random electronics). There were empty shelves all on two different endcaps plus the four-foot annex of regular shelving around the corner from the one endcap. Completely wiped out now, except for one potentially interesting item for any PS3 owners, one :ps3: Band Hero full kit, for 75% off, I think $44.xx.

I noticed that and mentioned it as soon as I realized the new model was a downgrade. I also mentioned the DPCI for it, but as of the last time I checked the post with the list in it it was not listed in there.

Here's the page on Target.com for the clearance monitor(again)in the event anyone wants to check their local area to see if any are showing as in stock: http://www.target.com/Acer-21-5-Wide-Screen-LCD-Monitor/dp/B001IBHF62/ref=sr_1_17?ie=UTF8&searchView=grid5&qid=1272988738&frombrowse=0&fromGsearch=true&node=1038576%7C1287991011&keywords=acer&searchSize=30&id=Acer%2021%205%20Wide-Screen%20LCD%20Monitor&searchBinNameList=purchasing_channel%2Csubjectbin%2Ctarget_com_age%2Ctarget_com_gender-bin%2Ctarget_com_character-bin%2Cprice%2Ctarget_com_primary_color-bin%2Ctarget_com_size-bin%2Ctarget_com_brand-bin&searchNodeID=1038576%7C1287991011&searchRank=target104545&sr=1-17&searchPage=1http://www.target.com/Acer-21-5-Wid...&searchRank=target104545&sr=1-17&searchPage=1

If you all don't mind a display model, you should check the monitors on display and see if the one there is the old or new model and don't be afraid to ask for a manager and try to haggle a shopworn 10% discount on top of the clearance price.;)

I was able to get GH5
iconxbox360.gif
for $12.48. Only one store had it as this price while the other stores were still holding at $25.

I also picked up Kingdom Hearts: COM for $7.48 and Fable 2 PH for $13.98. I wanted Fable 2 at a cheaper price but the other stores that had the platinum hits version were already sold out.

I may finally get around to playing it, which is really pathetic as I bought Fable 2 around release during a Toys r Us B2G1 sale and have yet to crack that sucker open.

Also came across Band Hero Bundle
iconps3.gif
for $44.xx and GH5 guitar kit
iconps2_r2.gif
for $19.99, but I passed on both. I already have more than enough fake instruments and music games between the
iconwii.gif
and the
iconxbox360.gif
that I don't need to start triple dipping on those games. But man, I started to get the shakes, real bad, from passing on those two deals.

One store also had a couple of TOM TOM 130 gps for $30 and passed as I have an iPhone for that. This was the only store that had them reach that big of a drop. Most other stores sold out around $75. The few remaining stores that have them are still selling them at regular price.

You know, I never really bothered with the availability check, but one store within easy driving distance shows both KH: CoM and Fable II in stock, while nobody else near me does. Interesting! Will have to check that out after work to see if it's clearanced.

I've noticed that unlike some stores(aka Gamestop), their stock locator thing is pretty spot on and isn't 12 hours behind.

It's definitely saved me quite a few disappointing trips and alot of wasted gas.

Haha, I would beg to differ. Couldn't tell you how many times I've had people coming in for an item that the website says we have, when we've been zeroed out for quite awhile.

Of course, it could be that they're just lying and trying to guilt us. But it's happened often enough that I wouldn't trust the website or our PDAs' own on-hand counts if my life depended on it.

However, backroom locations tend to be pretty accurate and up-to-date, as long as whoever is working in the backroom properly scans an item out of its location when pushing it to the sales floor.

I went to 2 Targets and finally found a :ps3: Band Hero bundle for $44.xx :D

I think the only reason the local El Hoardo didn't pick it up is because this bundle wasn't even marked as on clearance. I had to punch in the DCPI on the self scanner to figure out it was 75% off. Was this bundle ever spotted as being 50% off or did it just go from 30% off to 75% off?

Not sure if it was mentioned yet, but my wife got Tetris Evolution and Saints Row for 360 today for $4.98 each. These were at the Target in Council Bluffs, IA.
