Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.
My Target (Charleston, SC) was wiped clean  I grabbed PS3 Singstar vol 2 w/ mics for $14.98, but I'm probably going to return that. Didn't see anything else....

I heard something about 50% off Target clearance games - was that last week or something? I missed that one...
I've been looking for Singstar (and Lips) for a long time. They had 3 copies of that and a Buzz title for $40 around Xmas, they dropped a few bucks and then were gone. I saw them for a month and they weren't dropping some weeks.
12.57 is a rather odd number.

was it a "repackaged as is" item?
The sticker reads "Online Item".

That's a great price for DS: Extraction. Too bad it's not a universal clearance price.

My local Targets are pretty dry; some Wario: Shake It and BW2s still at $24, and that's about it.

Nothing new in 2 out of 3 Targets in my area.. didn't even bother to check the third one after the first two disappointments (3-4 50% off games each location).

They moved the clearance at both of my local Targets. One of them used to be nowhere near the games at the end of a cosmetic isle and usually had good shit. Now it is next to the value game rack and gets totally picked over. The other store moved theirs into the space next to the game cabinet, so it's basically right up front where everyone shops. They had like 2 copies of Bionic Commando for 29.xx I'm hoping the stores moved these just for the holiday season and will revert back to their old locations.

man, this blows! I'm getting really discouraged to keep visiting Target b/c yeah, all the games are gone except for a few rogue ones that no one wants. I was usually guaranteed one buy a week, now nothing! I guess we have to wait until they actually clearance new titles, but damn, even the glass cases have slim pickin's...

Don't worry token. It's time for a lull. It happens. But with the amount of games coming out in Jan and Feb, I think we'll see some more go on clearance sooner rather than later. This time last year I think the stores were empty until around March.

I wouldn't think there would be a whole lot of good deals right now, considering the last big game to be released was the Wii Final Fantasy the 26th. December was a dead month for the most part

Anybody around the Houston area see anything good in their clearance lately? I haven't myself, but maybe someone has.
Anybody around the Houston area see anything good in their clearance lately? I haven't myself, but maybe someone has.
no not at all, none at the Taylor location of San Felipe one. None out West near Katy either..Sugar Land, Rosenberg, ziltch..

Reston and Fair Lakes VA picked fairly clean still. Planet 51 (ps3) was $24.98 both locations. Godfather II (360) $14.98 at Fair Lakes.

My Target recently reset the entire 360 case and I noticed some games were taken out completely. Hoping they were set aside for the pricing team to clearance out...

Today I picke up PS3 FIFA Soccer 09 and NBA Live 09 for $7.48 each. Think I am going to return them though was kinda of an impluse buy. Never really play to many sports games.

I saw 2 copies of Cars: Race-O-Rama for :360: marked $19.98 last week at the one local Target. I checked there yesterday and they were still coming up $19.98, which is 50% according to the corner of the sticker.

My area always sucks for dropping clearance price games to that magical 75% off number.

I also saw 2-4 copies of Bionic Commando for :360: marked $24.98 or so and some of those GH games for the DS marked around $40 something a pop.

Yeah, that DS Guitar Hero box is still over $40. I'm not into those games but I can see the appeal... except for the DS one, which pretty much makes no sense to me. If you're gonna do music, get the Korg DS-10 cartridge, that thing is awesome!

There's a handful of :360: games at my local stores, but they're all still at $30 like everyone else. What I did find was some Memorex File-n-Store boxes... each one stores 80 DVDs or CDs in nifty, easy-to-sort sleeves with prefab labels and everything. I got two and put away 120 discs, dumped all the bulky keepcases in a bin in the basement. Finally, at the age of 33, my home office is starting to look like that of an adult and not a 16-year-old otaku shut-in!

Went by mine today, not much, bionic commando 29. 360, Planet 51 29.99 ps3 360, but there were a few PSP on sale for 20 bucks, NFS shift, ASS creed, Madden 10 and a few other, but not LBP which I wanted.
Went to 3 Targets and there was nothing worth a damn.
Seems to be the case of the 2 in my area.
Lucky i got Wolfenstein 360 ($15) and Ghostbusters 360 ($15). That's all clearance games i seen in the past 3 weeks.
location? i don't seem have those games anymore in my area..
location? i don't seem have those games anymore in my area..
If I recall correctly, I think he resides on the border of Kansas and Missouri near Independence.
I wish Targets around where I'm at had clearance games. I'm way jealous of you assholes, haha.
Are you positive your Targets don't have clearance games? One of the Targets in my area has the clearance games in the books section.
Are you positive your Targets don't have clearance games? One of the Targets in my area has the clearance games in the books section.
Yeah, the only "clearance" section are where they put the games that currently retail for $19.99. One of my Targets just revamped their whole video game section and now they're all in these weird plastic cases.

The only Targets that I've found red tagged games have the games at like $10 cheaper than retail. They never get as low as posted in here or in the first post.

Maybe I'll try the book section but I'm not holdin my breath.

saw quake wars: enemy territory :ps3: today at 29.98 (orig 59.99). seems new to me, at least didn't see it in the op. and my fitness coach :wii:, but I think that's old news.

Found 2 PS3 games today.

Mortal Kombat vs. DC - $14.98
Skate 2 - $9.98

I tried to use the $10 off coupon on the 2 games and the coupon came up as expired. I was able to use the coupon a week or two ago, but it looks like it's out of their system now. At least at this particular Target.

The only other game was Planet 51 (PS3 and 360) for $24.98. Still too much. But I'll bite if I can find it for $12.48. It would make a great birthday gift for my son.

My targets are completely dead. No clearance games on 360, PS3 or Wii... Oh well. It'll all change in a month or so and I'll be back to deciding what to get and what not to.

I'd love to find Ghostbusters or MKvsDC that cheap. The last time I was in Target, the clearance shelf consisted of one or two budget DS games and that's it. Ghostbusters was previously $40 on clearance.

my targets like everyone elses seem to either have been stripped bare of clearance ps3/xbox 360 games by holiday shoppers or Target gets rid of stuff, I dono. Hopefully by Feb, things return to normal.

Fallout 3 non GotY for PS3 is still original price in the glass case, if they ring it up what's the chances of it being on clearance?

Talked to one of the electronics guys at the Target in the village on 281/Stone Oak in San Antonio today - he said that they are no longer going to be doing a dedicated Clearance endcap and will just be putting the red tag games with the new releases. Not sure if other stores are doing the same thing, but the last few Targets I've been to I've been unable to find ANY red tag games, so it's possible they were in the cases where I rarely look.

Apparently has nothing to do with hiders or theft, they just need all the endcaps for other product.

Yesterday afternoon Target in Pasadena TX on Fairmont at Beltway 8 had 1 lone copy of NBA 2k9 Xbox 360 for $15 in the movie section on an end cap. I did not see any other clearance games.

I don't see how they would need it for other product considering this is the time of year Target is clearancing pretty much everything -- especially in that area of the store (Electronics, Sporting Goods, Toys, etc.)

As far as clearance games go; I have seen some of them behind the glass with the red tags on them. For the most part they're at the end of the isles as usual.
Had a couple PSP games at mine. Don't remember the names, nothing great. So how long till the endcaps get populated again?
Well they have to actually have games to make room for, given that there's a glut of new games coming in late January / early February, I would anticipate a clearance endcap that looks a bit more filled out by around that same time frame as well.

If anybody wants one there is a copy of GF II in prattvile Al priced at 14.98.
The clearance rack was of course ripped apart. Got lucky and saw two gf II in the glass case and a copy of mini ninjas! PIcked up GF II and MN, so one left. Also had burnout paradise behind the glass too for some reason, is that one on sale?

Holy crow, another San Antonio CAG in the house! Anyway, it seems nearly all of the Targets in SA are like this. I've been to the one on 1604/Blanco and also 410/Blanco and neither has a clearance section anymore. I even looked behind the glass cases and saw nothing, so chances are they were wiped out from Christmas still.

Target should still have a reason for a clearance endcap... after all, it's not just video games that go on clearance. I could see them keeping clearance games in the cases in smaller stores that don't have as many endcaps in the electronics area to spare as the SuperTargets do. We still keep ours because it's a nice place to stick items that are marked down down for clearance, repackaged returns, or items bought online.
