Previous threads:

Target clearance is YMMV
Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction. Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 70% or 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, DCPI # and online item # in RED!!!

For example:

:ps3:
$4.98
123-45-6789 Random Game Name #12345678

DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself.

DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI #'s or Online Item #'s that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

New link to search for items using Target's online item #:

You can also take the DPCI # and search on Target.com for an exact match and then use the store locator there.

(HUGE PROPS TO mitch079 FOR GETTING US THIS USEFUL INFO!!!)

If you are having trouble with the above search here are more detailed directions:
Take the DPCI #s and search on target.com for an exact match and then use the store locator there. If there isn't an exact match, try googling Target and the DPCI #. For instance, on the 500 gb Seagate hard drive, it doesn't show up on the site. Google shows the online # as 13730271. Then, you can plug the online # in http://m.target.com/fiats/t- and put the online number after the - so the link would be: http://m.target.com/fiats/t-13730271. Hit enter, plug in your zip and it should work.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing in-store as often price tags will not be correct:

1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to BigDirty for that^

Regarding items posted in the OP:

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store.

Numbers in purple are DPCI #'s, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

Numbers in orange are online item #'s.

I am starting off this new thread going back to October 1st, 2012.
Please refer to the prior thread for any items before then.

THIS IS A WIKIFIED THREAD!!! IF YOU ARE ABLE TO, PLEASE UPDATE THE OP WHEN YOU REPORT DROPS USING THE APPROPRIATE FORMAT!!!

THANK YOU....

Nice deal, that had to be a mistake, wasn't it just released?

nice! too bad it's only 3ds though, If the console was $15 I'd play for trophies and flip. I think the console ones are a 2 for 40 trade deal at gamestop. even though it's free on iphone/kindle fire, etc.

Beware, it's estimated to take 300 hours to complete the trophy/achievement set

Is there a trick to getting an item adjusted? I bought an item and then it went on clearance shortly after. I wanted to return it and rebuy it but they said that I'd have to let it get sorted through the back room then put back on the shelf and buy it then. Made no sense to me. They didn't have any more in stock.

The trick is to find a customer service employee who will let you perform the return/rebuy. Best method is to tell the employee you want to change the payment method on the item, say from one credit card to another or from credit card to cash. Then they will more than likely begin the return/repurchase transaction, and hopefully by the time they realize the price difference (IF they even realize it) when they re-scan the item for purchase, you will have quickly swiped your credit card through the card reader and it will be in effect a completed transaction.

Portal 2 14.99 online ID: 13077530

I tossed my receipt already... sorry no DCPI. I did not see any :ps3: copies available and it only shows :360: online. Spoke with a cust service rep who said the SKU is discontinued.
Is the Nyko Intercooler STS worth getting. My 360 S seems to get a bit hot.
I would say no. Microsoft or Sony says if you use these things you invalidate your warranty. Does your system have enough ventilation or is it stuffed inside an entertainment center

I picked up Angry Birds Trilogy for 3DS simply because I felt it was too good a deal to pass up but haven't read any reviews as far as how good the 3D is. Can anyone else who picked up recommend it? Thinking about returning it if I don't hear anything good about it.
I also picked up a ton of shirts and polos at 70% off and one of those piano/ipad attachments for 70% off

DPCI for 360 is 207-22-1012
PS3 is 207-24-1012

For the record, Portal 2 (360) is 14.99 price cut MSRP . Not on sale nor is it clearance. Also it's NCF, therefor act fast. Also the ps3 version is still 30.

Damn been eyeing Portal 2 for awhile now (played and beat it in one day at a friends house, but don't own my own copy yet) but I have PS3. Hopefully it drops on that system too.

Just went to Target to do some shopping before closing, and ended coming across the PSP 3000 LE bundle clearanced down to $111.98. So I couldn't pass it up since I had been wanting it back for such a long time now (sold mine before and regretted it later on), and plus I knew I wouldn't find it for that price again in store. Anyway, definitely glad to own one again to keep. :D

Also ended getting Hot Shots Golf Open Tee that rang up for $9.99. Resistance and MLB for vita rang up $19.99 each, but I of course passed on those.

Same here! Decided to buy it after checking out the price on amazon and figuring it being one of two left in the store that it was probably going to be snatched up by someone considering that the bundle was cheaper than buying a PSP without a bundle. Used a gift card I had gotten for my wedding and paid nothing :p I have been stockpiling games over the years for this day :D

Too bad the memory cards are so expensive :( I need a 16 gig or better because 2 isn't gonna cut it.

Right, exactly! Yeah, I also had credit and only ended up paying $32.xx including HSG. That's cool, I'm glad it worked out for you. :)

Yeah I know what you mean. I guess I'll wait for BF to grab one (like I already am for my vita) unless I happen to find one clearanced.

Picked up a Stem Time Command

I been using it for past few hours, testing it out. It's pretty loud, sound quality is great. It's pretty cool it can turn on/off/dim your room light as well. You can even have it turn the lights on when the alarm goes off.

Ran into a Brookstone spy tank (057-00-1730) for iOS for $29 today; on clearance from $100 and labeled $50. $30 seems about the right price.

Went into 2 Targets this afternoon and noticed that PES2013 for PS3 had been marked down to $29.98. Seemed odd to me at first, but when I went into the second one it couldn't have been a mistake. I would look out for this if anyone is interested in a fairly new game for half the price of MSRP.

Havent had any luck lately with the Target clearance. Empty shelves etc.

If anyone has the flame red mario 3ds un-opened and is willing to work something out, it would be greatly appreciated.

probably both a mistake and legit. target has a habit of mistakingly putting the new version of the yearly sports games on clearance instead of the older version (pes 2012 in this case)

Best gaming thing I saw was NHL 12 (360) for $27.xx at the Arnold, MO Target. They also had some of those 3rd party controllers for 360 and PS3. Lots of iPhone cases and related crap too.

Picked up FIFA 2012 for the Xbox for $8.98 at the Target in Milford, OH. For the Xbox they had Fifa, Madden, NHL 2012, and Grand Slam Tennis (The EA Tennis game, can't remember if this is the exact name). For PS3 they had Portal 2 for $14.98. Had some other games but can't remember names/prices.

I'm guessing you both have probably seen them before, but I am using 1 of those dual micro SD adapters in my 3000, and it works just fine. They're just a few dollars off of Amazon or Ebay. Came in really handy for me since I had a couple extra 16 gig micro SD chips just from phone upgrades.

I still have the 4 4gb PSP memory cards I grabbed for $1.99 each from that BB gaming blowout a while back. You can't go wrong for $2 apiece as opposed to the price they WERE selling at.

wow..that's a good deal

Didn't know they had something like this.... too bad there isn't like an sd to MS adapter because I have quite a few 4 gigs SD cards.

I did see 1 MS DUO on clearance 4 gigs for 5 bucks at Microcenter but the chances of them finding it is slim to none.

Now I need to keep my eye out for the video out cables.

Thanks a lot, I'll definitely be ordering one. That's something too, because I was just wondering if could do that for the micro SDHC cards since it's what I always use to store memory on all my devices. Now I can get a 32gig card or two to have plenty of memory. :)
I been watching the Skullcandy at my local Targets drop down in price for the past 2 weeks.

i'd say pick them up now. bought a pair on friday night, there were about 7 or so. went back saturday afternoon and none left. wait if you know your store doesn't have a lot of traffic.

I managed to grab a lone Seagate 500GB portable drive for $20.98 today. :)
Not much in games, a lot of Madden 12 (not sure on price) and Link's Crossbow for $12.48.

Picked up a Seagate 1 TB for $24 and a WD 320 HD for $20. Also, picked up a Jensen Portable Stereo Speakers for the iPad for $12.50 and a ps3 charging station for the motion controllers for $15. I lucked out a got a Sony CD Boombox for iPod for $24.

^ Cool, I've been needing another external hard drive myself for the longest time. I'll have to go there again to check.

Np, glad I could help. If you do get it, just be mindful of a couple things.

I've read complaints that they are flimsy, but you gotta figure its just a thin piece plastic hollowed out to hold another 1 or 2 thin pieces of plastic, how sturdy could they really make it. So just be gentle :)

Also, I've read that while you are transferring data to and from the micro SD cards, be sure to do it while they are in the adapter to reduce/prevent data corruption. I have no idea how true that statement might be, because I've never bothered to test it. I always just leave it in the PSP and use a USB cord when I'm transferring data anyway.

I like to know that as well. If that drive is made by Seagate, I could rip it out of that enclosure and throw it into my desktop. Hell I'd buy two and throw one into my second build as well.
