Previous threads:

Target clearance is YMMV
Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction. Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 70% or 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, DCPI # and online item # in RED!!!

For example:

:ps3:
$4.98
123-45-6789 Random Game Name #12345678

DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself.

DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI #'s or Online Item #'s that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

New link to search for items using Target's online item #:

You can also take the DPCI # and search on Target.com for an exact match and then use the store locator there.

(HUGE PROPS TO mitch079 FOR GETTING US THIS USEFUL INFO!!!)

If you are having trouble with the above search here are more detailed directions:
Take the DPCI #s and search on target.com for an exact match and then use the store locator there. If there isn't an exact match, try googling Target and the DPCI #. For instance, on the 500 gb Seagate hard drive, it doesn't show up on the site. Google shows the online # as 13730271. Then, you can plug the online # in http://m.target.com/fiats/t- and put the online number after the - so the link would be: http://m.target.com/fiats/t-13730271. Hit enter, plug in your zip and it should work.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing in-store as often price tags will not be correct:

1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to BigDirty for that^

Regarding items posted in the OP:

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store.

Numbers in purple are DPCI #'s, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

Numbers in orange are online item #'s.

I am starting off this new thread going back to October 1st, 2012.
Please refer to the prior thread for any items before then.

THIS IS A WIKIFIED THREAD!!! IF YOU ARE ABLE TO, PLEASE UPDATE THE OP WHEN YOU REPORT DROPS USING THE APPROPRIATE FORMAT!!!

THANK YOU....

lol... Looks like someone is getting fired, or at least written up for that one.

not to go off topic from video games, but I wish they'd clearance things like trading cards. :p

[quote name='lostdecoy']Same here, was thrilled to pick up that Mixer as it's a rediculous good price. Otherwise just a lot of crap in the electronics section.[/QUOTE]
Do you have the DPCI for that? I wanna try and find this.

Picked up the last PSP-3000 Limited Edition Bundle w/ Cars 2 and FIFA '12 for $79.98.

It was marked 114.xx, but when I scanned it, it came up at the 50% off price. Someone's hidden stash was discovered, it seems.

Anyone find anything good this monday? I haven't had the chance to go check out my store just yet, but I just thought it wouldn't hurt to ask.

big pile o' nothin new in my neck of the woods. still piles of '12 sports games and 3ds chargers.

[quote name='redrum509']Anyone have a link to this stock checker I keep hearing about? Thanks[/QUOTE]

Just go to http://www.target.com/ type in the DCPI in search box (or item name), click item and look at web address, for example you'll see something like: A-14083778, but forget the A

Then go to here and replace the end of url numbers with numbers only, then type in zip code:
http://m.target.com/fiats/t-14083778

This is for in stock only info, if it's on clearance at your Targets is YMMV

Saw Tekken 3DS and NFS The Run 3DS for $8.98. Also had the soccer Vita game for $8.98. Saw some cool looking mini PS3 wireless controllers for $19.98 and they had a regular sized PS3 Madcatz wireless controller for $15. Also saw some Wii game with Nintendo characters in it for $15, can't remember the name on it.

The Crimson DS Lites dropped to $50 (50%) at a store, but they were long gone. Gonna buy them at another Target and return to the store that has it cheap to see if I can price adjust.

[quote name='strawyleader997']I saw it was that price and I didn't buy it because it wasn't cheap enough.[/QUOTE]
Got it, thanks.

Just left my nearest Target. All the EA '12 crap is gone, with virtually nothing in its place. A bunch of assorted older games were thrown together on an endcap but they weren't marked down. KOA Reckoning for PC, Star Wars FU II for PC, UFC fitness thingy, and other mostly uninteresting stuff.

Might be late on this one, but last week I was at one of my local targets and one of the endcaps had all the overstock games from the cells, that are usually MSRP, marked as Repackaged and anywhere from 25% to 66% off. Most of the prices weren't that great but I did pick up 3 on the PSP UMD dual packs for $5.21 each (Syphon Filter Logan's Shadow/Killzone, Secret Agent Clank/Daxter and Syphon Filter Dark Mirror/Socom Fireteam Bravo) They had multiple stickers on them so it looks like at least some of the repackaged games will be marked down further. Worth keeping an eye on if your store did the same thing.

[quote name='cagfansub']PS3 Spiderman Web of Shadows - 14.98 .. is this a good deal?[/QUOTE]

My favorite Spider-Man game of this generation for whatever that's worth.

Didn't see any clearance aside form a Madden PSP game at my local store today. :(

[quote name='cagfansub']PS3 Spiderman Web of Shadows - 14.98 .. is this a good deal?[/QUOTE]

Considering Gamestop sells pre-owned copies for $34.99, I'd say it's a fantastic deal.
It's a pretty great game too! :D

I would like to find a clank / daxter dual pack for that price still msrp at lcoal as of 3 days ago

Nice find! Was a bit p'ed off when I bought the bundle for $14.99 from PSN then saw the physical bundle in target for the same price(some months ago), but glad I did since I can play it on my Vita! Daxter is fun! Haven't played Secret Agent Clank too much, yet.

Sometimes it's lower than what is on the label. I bought a pokemon game one time with the label saying ~$16. It ended up being sub $10. If you want the game, consider taking it to a price scanner to check.

Found :3ds: Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic games for $19.99 (207 02 1372).

I may bite if it gets below $10.

Good theory but at the Targets around here ALL of the clearance labels on the video games are over the UPC codes so there is no chance in hell it will ring up for less. Totally sucks.

They used to put them on the front on the case so you could scan the box upc and potentially get a lower price.

Oooh I still need to pick that one up.

Was it the Wii or 3DS version??

[quote name='prayformojo']Is Baller Beats really showing up as clearanced? It is still full price at my local Target.[/QUOTE]

I wanna know this too. I'd buy it in a heartbeat if I ever saw it at that price. None of the Targets around me have it on clearance though.

I'm pretty sure they replaced most Target stores scanners with ones with a lil touch screen on them. Try finding the DPCI# for the games you want to check and manually enter them into the scanner. That should work to let you know the prices.

Nothing new when I went today.
Same copy of Test Drive Ferrari (PS3) for $14.98 and a NHL 2012 for $29.99

Had a bunch of Atari Icades marked down to like $17 but I read up on them and apparently they only work with the Atari app so pretty useless.

[quote name='Gameboy415']Oooh I still need to pick that one up.

3DS. Sorry about that.

I was at the Target in Fishers, IN earlier today and they had like 12 copies of Madden 12 for $8.98 for PS3. They also had one copy of NHL 12 for the same price for the Xbox 360.

Weird thing is, I found a copy for X360 at KMart of NHL 13 for $30 too.

I went to 2 target stores today, one (Namaans Rd, Delaware) had a bunch of NHL 12 PS3 and Madden 12 PSP games clearanced for $27.98 and $5.98 respectively. The other (Concordville, Rt. 1) store had nothing marked down. At the latter I saw a lone WWE 12 game on the shelf still tagged $29.99. Figured I'd take a gamble and had the clerk scan it... you guessed it, $29.99.

So YMMV, and I left empty handed feeling like an idiot who wasted a few bucks in gas.

KMART clearance > Target clearance, no matter how much some ppl complain.

They probably aren't selling well because of the lockout.

Thanks for the update, those are in my area but are a bit of a drive out so any updates you provide will be much appreciated.:applause:

stock locator told me games were in stock for two different stores but the games were not there when I got to the store.

Houston:
Willowbrook - had a lot NHL 12's marked at 19.98 and Jersey Shore Calender at 1.97
Tomball - nothing

[quote name='fearMr.Met']KMART clearance > Target clearance, no matter how much some ppl complain.[/QUOTE]

You either haven't been checking target clearance for that long or your stores are just bad. KMart can be great on occasion for a few random games and accs, but target has had TONS of clearance game deals. You just need to avoid the dead times in the season, like right now.

I went to my Target earlier today. They had nothing good.

They do still have a copy of L.A. Noire Complete Edition for PS3 for $34.98 that was marked down to that price the Monday before BF 2011. At this point, I mostly go check clearence just to see if that thing is still there. They have moved it to nearly every location on the electronics or clearence floor but have yet to mark it down again and it just won't sell.

Saw NHL 12 for $15 for 360/ps3, there were a few 3DS games.

I thought about getting one of these Sony SMP-N200, Sony's streaming media device I think they were $50, I may have to get one for a gift.
