Previous threads:

Target clearance is YMMV
Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction. Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 70% or 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, DCPI # and online item # in RED!!!

For example:

:ps3:
$4.98
123-45-6789 Random Game Name #12345678

DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself.

DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI #'s or Online Item #'s that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

New link to search for items using Target's online item #:

You can also take the DPCI # and search on Target.com for an exact match and then use the store locator there.

(HUGE PROPS TO mitch079 FOR GETTING US THIS USEFUL INFO!!!)

If you are having trouble with the above search here are more detailed directions:
Take the DPCI #s and search on target.com for an exact match and then use the store locator there. If there isn't an exact match, try googling Target and the DPCI #. For instance, on the 500 gb Seagate hard drive, it doesn't show up on the site. Google shows the online # as 13730271. Then, you can plug the online # in http://m.target.com/fiats/t- and put the online number after the - so the link would be: http://m.target.com/fiats/t-13730271. Hit enter, plug in your zip and it should work.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing in-store as often price tags will not be correct:

1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to BigDirty for that^

Regarding items posted in the OP:

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store.

Numbers in purple are DPCI #'s, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

Numbers in orange are online item #'s.

I am starting off this new thread going back to October 1st, 2012.
Please refer to the prior thread for any items before then.

THIS IS A WIKIFIED THREAD!!! IF YOU ARE ABLE TO, PLEASE UPDATE THE OP WHEN YOU REPORT DROPS USING THE APPROPRIATE FORMAT!!!

THANK YOU....

Not a clearance item but nabbed a few :360: Mass Effect 3 N7 CE for $29.99.

If any stores have them they will likely be in the backroom, and priced at the vanilla MSRP of $29.99
Picked up a Seagate 1 TB for $24 and a WD 320 HD for $20. Also, picked up a Jensen Portable Stereo Speakers for the iPad for $12.50 and a ps3 charging station for the motion controllers for $15. I lucked out a got a Sony CD Boombox for iPod for $24.
Holy hell. Congrats man. I was very very happy to buy a Seagate 1TB portable hdd a week ago at Target for $44.98
Got the DPCI's for those?

I like to know that as well. If that drive is made by Seagate, I could rip it out of that enclosure and throw it into my desktop. Hell I'd buy two and throw one into my second build as well.
The DPCI for my $44.98 Seagate 1TB FreeAgent GoFlex Ultra Portable drive is 080 00 1200

The model number STAA1000100. I researched it on amazon.com before purchasing it. The reviews seem so-so, but if you find one for $24 it's a no brainer.

I never thought I'd buy a Seagate External drive because they have such a bad reputation, but I couldn't pass it up at this price. I also bought a 2TB a while back from staples.com for $90.

Do these seem to work better if you take them out of their enclosures and plug them straight into your PC?

They pretty much work the same way. As far I know, you can use those Seagate external HDD's in your laptop/PS3. I remember I bought a 750GB external for $50-$60 and I threw it right in my PS3. That was a Seagate model of course. I think with the WD models, they have some kind of attachment to it where you can't just rip it out of the enclosure. I might be wrong though. Seagate has been more reliable to me though.

I have a 750GB HDD in my desktop, and I have roughly 350GB left so I wouldn't mind throwing a backup drive in there for DD etc. I have four externals laying around the house. There's a 1TB to backup our family desktop/laptop; a 4TB external for my desktop since I do media production/game etc, an 80GB for school, and I have a 120GB(?) external dedicated for my PS3 backups.

The moral of the story is that you can never have too many drives laying around the house. ;) That reminds me I also have a 250GB drive from our dead laptop laying around, and a 180GB SSD for my next computer. I could always use that for my backup for my second PC build.:whistle2:k /end story.

Saw a few things at my local Target today (sorry that I didn't grab any DPCI numbers!)

NHL 12 :360: :ps3: $24.98
Grand Slam Tennis 2 :360: $29.98
Link's Crossbow Training :wii: $17.98
FIFA 12 :360: $24.98

I will be on the lookout for MGS :3ds: and Mass Effect 3 CE :360: tomorrow (local store has both in stock per Mobile Site)
Np, glad I could help. If you do get it, just be mindful of a couple things.

I've read complaints that they are flimsy, but you gotta figure its just a thin piece plastic hollowed out to hold another 1 or 2 thin pieces of plastic, how sturdy could they really make it. So just be gentle :)

Also, I've read that while you are transferring data to and from the micro SD cards, be sure to do it while they are in the adapter to reduce/prevent data corruption. I have no idea how true that statement might be, because I've never bothered to test it. I always just leave it in the PSP and use a USB cord when I'm transferring data anyway.
Thanks for all the info, I'll remember that.
Anyone see any 3DS chargers at 70% off?
I saw some, but not at 70% off.

I saw a ton of these:

http://www.target.com/p/pdp-pull-go...74#prodSlot=medium_1_1&term=pull and go folio

Marked at $5.06. Got one for me and one for the fiancee. Seemed like a neat little case and I like that the DS case can be removed for portability. They had a ton with store security things on them so I don't know why they were marked as online items instead of regular clearance.

I was at Target yesterday and managed to find a PDP Crystal Case for my Vita that was marked down to $10. It was hidden at the very back by a row of those ridiculously cheap looking Vita traveling cases that Sony makes. They ironically happened to be the same price and I got a good laugh out of the stark contrast in quality.

I saw some games, NHL 12 being the only one that comes to mind, and other gaming related stuff as well. Most if not all of it was overpriced though and not CAG worthy.
Anyone see any 3DS chargers at 70% off?
I saw them at 50% off. No 70% off though. Sorry.

Went by my Target store and picked up Madden 2012 for $14.98, Tekken 3D for $8.70. They had NHL 2012 for $19.98 (surprised considering I purchased 2011 on clearance last month) and they also had the tan DS/DSXL charger outlet on clearance. Didn't see any of the soccer games though.

This!!! I bought the Vita version 1st & loved it so got one (the regular DSi/DS XL version) for my 3DS XL wally world mistakenly had on clearance for $7.

Went to another Target and the 3DS chargers held at 50% off. I did see some :360: Survival Shadow of Katmai bundles for $19.98 (Best to wait until 70% imo) and the Cabela's that requires Kinect for $24.98 (it's $20 at Big Lots if you can find it).
Anybody found PES 2013@ 70% by any chance
My Target was cleared out of PES completely (probably some guy going to try to flip them all). :hot:

I picked up a clearance Harmony 700 remote for $24. Perfect timing for me since my older harmony one's screen went all white on me.

I didn't know that. Thanks for the heads up. I thought it was the same size as the one I bought before. Anyways I have some new DCPI's to add to the list.

Following items are from the Walden Target. Cheektowaga, NY

012-08-0013 Case Logic USB Holder $1.98 (Convenient since I always lose my flash drives in my bookbag, lol.)

207-22-0806 Grand Slam Tennis 2 (X360) $14.98

207-00-1025 PS Move Shooting Attachment $9.98

207-00-0995 Playstation Move Charging Kit $14.98

For connecting game consoles to HDTVs with HDMI connection:
207 00 0009 Monster 6 ft. HDMI cable $7.48 regular price $14.99
This is an alright price for a HDMI cable. Cables in online stores are around $5, but shipping eliminates the savings.

update: confirmed 6 ft. Thanks ssjgoku90501. I took another trip there and found it was 6 foot cables. It was dumb of Target to cover all of the boxes' listed cable length with the clearance stickers. One of them was peeled off by someone else.

update: I took a picture of the box and didn't bother reading the back. The clearance sticker covered up the printed length. I thought it was 6 or 8 foot, but it could be 2 or 3 feet. I'll double-check when I have free time. I can't find the item on target.com.
I got a PSP 3000 GT/SHow 11/2 GB card bundle for $80. It had several price tags on it, cheapest being $111. Didn't open it yet--is this a good deal? Looks like this bundle still sells for $160 at Best Buy, and I can seemingly get a ton of used games for it cheap.

Picked up a KitchenAid mixer for $90 today, was surprised it lasted to 70% off. Other than that, pretty desolate. The Acer Aspire One netbook has clearanced too (again?) if anyone's interested.

I just went to my local WALMART and found 3 Batman Arkham City Collectors Edition for the PS3 for $59.99. They also had like 10 Halo Reach Limited Editions for $79.99.

Wow that's a good deal. Picked up the Fifa 12/Cars bundle for 111.xx
These bundles are getting harder to find as Best buy is no longer selling them. Picked up by bundle last week since there were two left and was afraid someone would buy it before the next price drop....guess what? came back to that store yesterday and the other box is still there for 111! :( So that means it could go down again on monday lol.

That doesn't happen too often, but I had seen it a few times when I worked at Target. It just means that the game is still on planogram, despite being on clearance, so the employees will just leave it there until all the copies are sold through or they need the space for a new release, instead of moving it to the clearance endcaps right away.

lol, nice to see a fellow CAG from the same area as me. :) But as always I think our local target has crappy deals. :/ Aside from getting fear 3 for 6.00 and awhile back assasins creed and mgs4 for 13.00 each it's very hit or miss or as everyone says YMMV, I'm dissapointed that it doesn't follow the entire Target board nationwide or something, but oh well, what can you really do?
