Target clearance is YMMV
Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction. Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 70% or 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, DCPI # and online item # in RED!!!​

DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. ​

DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI #'s or Online Item #'s that are not already in the OP-- thanks! ​

This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.​

If you are having trouble with the above search here are more detailed directions:​
Take the DPCI #s and search on target.com for an exact match and then use the store locator there. If there isn't an exact match, try googling Target and the DPCI #. For instance, on the 500 gb Seagate hard drive, it doesn't show up on the site. Google shows the online # as 13730271. Then, you can plug the online # in http://m.target.com/fiats/t- and put the online number after the - so the link would be: http://m.target.com/fiats/t-13730271. Hit enter, plug in your zip and it should work.​

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing in-store as often price tags will not be correct:​

1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts. ​

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store.​

Numbers in purple are DPCI #'s, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.​

Numbers in orange are online item #'s.​

Yesterday I saw one of those Thor/Iron Man double packs for the 360 for $14.98.

Didn't have any other double packs so don't know if the others dropped either.

My Target has DSi XLs clearanced for $90. Had 6-7 of them that were all Midnight Blue.

This is probably one of those very YMMV situations and I am not sure how I got so lucky. As you see tags said Online Item and they showed original price of 29.99 marked down to 7.56. Sale price on the website is 35.99 right now. They all had white stickers covering the UPC on the back but when I peeled one back to see if it would ring up correctly it showed "not on file". Little did I know that the online only tag on the front was able to be scanned and have the item come up as the correct title and at the 7.56 price.
 
Usually when those tags are printed it is because the store normally doesn't carry that item. (Maybe that UPC specifically is an online exclusive). Someone for some reason returned all those games to the store instead of shipping back.

A total YMMV, an extremely lucky one.

Online Item prices are always extremely cheap if you happen to find them in-store.
 
I don't know what it is but my department stores never do stuff like this. Target doesn't have any worthy clearance sales.

Saw that the Sony Media Streamer is $55.98 at one of my stores. Will probably grab it when it drops again in lieu of picking up a second Roku box which I've been wanting since my 6 year old snagged the first one and we hooked it up to his Sony PS 3d Display. (that way I didn't have to get him a cable box :D)

All the targets I usually check are all out of anything good... just iphone cases, random books, and a couple of Justin Bieber cd's lol. Last years clearances were amazing imo x_x
 
A friend just called me and said they were putting Arkham City with a batarang controller for 360 out for 40. Some Cabela games and some Skylanders stuff on clearance. He works there but didn't get a chance to look at exact prices yet. This was at Evansville IN north. He was just wanting to know if he should get the controller bundle for me but I passed on it.
 
Well, I don't think the game is Arkham City, it is older ARkham Asylum.

no...Usually stuff gets moved to the nearest store...which means Manassas West or Gainesville.. It's that Wal-mart that probably hurt it .

It Asylum not city. I've seen this at 40 for a few months now. I didn't post it because it didn't seem like a deal.
At my stores it was with the Clearance stuff but no clearance sticker on it btw.
 
Picked up a Pink DSiXL for $90, and a Black DSi for $69.98 at the Greenland New Hampshire Target.

I don't think I saw any other DS systems on clearance. All the DSiXL's were gone from the display case, but there were still a few non-black DSi's at regular price. So maybe those will go on clearance soon too.

My son's DSi has a broken R button so I was glad to find a replacement.
 
Still haven't found anything decent on clearance for a while. Anyone in the middle TN area will probably want to know that the Target in Antioch is closing in February. Oh, and the Carnival Kia guy got busted for assault and weapon charges ;) But I digress...

Saw both those stories this morning. Our Targets have been dead for months.
 
WOW...that really can't be good for target if they are shutting down stores. That's gonna leave a pretty big footprint in a shopping center. Don't expect mega discounts..since other targets are thriving

More like that can't be good for Antioch, which has seen a major mall and the Best Buy close in the last 16 months.

Well ITDEFX shared a story on a Virginia Target closing also, but I haven't seen any huge stories around store closings so I imagine there aren't many more.

And yeah... Antioch is a huge dead end. :whistle2:T

Edit: Also one in Colorado and one in Washington, with hints of a Florida store closing in the first article.

My sister told me that when she was at the local Target the other day, all of the clearance stuff was gone and replaced with Christmas items. This displeases me.
 
I tried to get a PM yesterday on Uncharted 2's online price of $6 and they said they couldn't PM it because it was sold out online. Were they lying?
 
Quite a few clearance games today at my local target, for 360 there was Metal Gear HD Collection, Dead Rising off the Record, Two Worlds 2 and some Spongebob Surfing game all sitting at 30%.

Picked up the Sims on 3DS for $4.98

Also while I think about there was also Tiger Wood 12 and NHL 12 which has been stubbornly sitting at 50% off for nearly 2 months now. Glad I got it from GF the other week for $9.99.

Yeah I tried to type that out quickly at a stop light and didn't bother reading it again. My target had a sign that said 30% and there were a ton of those games. Is the 30% already factored into the clearance sticker on the games?

Yes. You'll also come to find that the number on the sign (when it's present) rarely matches what's stickered on the shelf. Best to just look at the stickers, and they never have sales like TRU where they take 'x% off clearance prices'.

These same games were all 50%off at my Target. Picked up MG HD and professor Layton and the diabolical box for $20 & $15 respectively.
